  1. Here's an informative article on "Matter" What is Matter and how will it affect your smart home? (the-ambient.com)
  2. Will the new Z-wave board support OTA device updates?
  3. Being that it's a RF only device the UPS will have no effect on its signal or operation
  4. Z-wave plus is the 500 series, this is the board currently used in the ISY994 Z-wave plus v2 is the 700 series, which is used in the Polisy You might want to send UDI an email to find out when the 500 series board will be back in stock.
  5. Take a look at this thread
  6. Are you able to access the Polisy from the admin console? What browser are you using? Also try pushing the reset / update button once on the right front of the Polisy using
  7. Take a look at this catalog of certified Z-wave devices. Ideally you want the 700 series aka Z-wave V2. I haven't seen any that have leds on the switches that indicate the dim level. Aeotec and Zooz both have a nice inventory. If you haven't already, then you should update your ISY Z-wave dongle to the 500 series, assuming that you now have the 300 series. Catalog of Certified Z-Wave Products for U.S. / Canada / Mexico (z-wavealliance.org)
  8. The two ethernet ports are possibly for future enhancements. The USB ports can be used for the Z-wave dongle and /or a USB PLM (2413U) The USB ports will also support the 2448A7 which is an RF only Insteon PLM dongle.
  9. Do not connect the PLM to the ethernet port, it must be connected to the DB9 port. To interface the 2413S with the Polisy you'll need the cable that shipped with the PLM. It should be in the box hidden in the packing material. If you don't have the cable, then you can buy one here: PLM Serial Cable - Smartenit The Insteon box in the Polisy configuration menu must be checked.
  10. the dusk / dawn node is totally separate from the motion node. If you're using a program to do something when there's motion in the room, then use the motion status and ignore the rest.
  11. In that case ignore the dusk/dawn settings and only use the motion node. dusk / dawn is used when the sensor is outside to turn on a light at dusk and turn it off at dawn
  12. The 2413U is the latest USB PLM, it works with the Polisy
  13. Are you wanting to use it as a motion sensor or a sensor to detect light in the room?
  14. You might want to submit a bug report to UDI support
  15. I only have the older motion sensors so I can't test it with the Polisy. Hopefully someone on the forum can let you know if it's a device issue or a Polisy bug.
  16. Unfortunately, they are far and few between. Currently your best chance is on Ebay. They come and go quickly, and you'll most likely pay a premium. There's a possibility that sometime in the future UDI may be able to supply them, but it's not certain and there's no timeline. For the ISY you'll need the 2413S. The Polisy will accept either the 2413S, the 2413U or the RF only 2448A7 USB Insteon dongle.
  17. Try removing the battery from the sensor, wait about 30 seconds then try a factory reset, restore device.
  18. No. It's an X10 controller, it doesn't support Insteon
  19. When you try to make changes do you see the admin console writing updates to the sensor?
  20. Have you tried adding an audio message to the SD card?
  21. Many thanks for the update. I ordered one, should have it tomorrow.
  22. Ideally, the replacement power supply should be rated at 12 volts, 1.5 amps,
  23. Put your battery operated devices into the linking mode and then do a restore device. Only one battery operated device should be in the linking mode at any one time. After you do the restore device push the set button to take the device out of linking mode, the led should then stop flashing.
  24. Highly unlikely the ISY failed. If you're sure the power supply is working, then you can also try removing power from the ISY, then remove the SD card and clean the contacts with a soft eraser.
  25. Might be, here's the spec sheets. There's a serial and an USB version
