"Cannot determine Insteon engine" is usually associated with poor communications between the device and the PLM. As suggested above, make sure the sensor is in the linking mode. Also try bringing the sensor closer to the PLM

When you downloaded the new version of the ISY finder did you first clear your java cache including checking the box "all installed applications" I have Java 8 ver 341 on windows 10 and the launcher works without issues.

@cmerlino Take a look at this link https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON_Random_All_On_Events An all on, or on event won't show up in the ISY log, so this might be your issue.

Is the smoke bridge currently linked to the HUB or the ISY? If it was once linked to the HUB and then linked to the ISY did you factory reset it before you linked it to the ISY?

If you use the Insteon ON/OFF switch, there isn't a required minimum load, but it's not dimmable.

@Geddy The OP in his original post stated he was using the Polisy, there was no mention of the ISY994. So I guess there was a bit of confusion.

@Snibley You're attempting to update the Polisy from PG2 which has been depreciated. Instead, you should use the admin console, Under System | Upgrade packages. Also, if your "upgrade bios" is not greyed out then you need to upgrade that as well. ,

@Snibley The only update option in the admin console I have under system is "Upgrade Packages". Is that what you're referring to? Exactly where does the green bar appear?

Out of curiosity, where did you see the green bar? I've never had one, even when I've had pending updates. When I click on updates the admin console shuts down and then the Polisy updates.

Assign them to a variable, then create a program to send the variables to an email or text message via the ISY notifications

When the leak sensor is in the WET state, the ISY should show the wet status as on and the DRY status as off. Once the sensor is no longer detecting water the SET button on the sensor needs to be pushed once in order to clear the wet state as the sensor will not automatically switch its status to DRY

The device sends either an ON or OFF heartbeat signal, the ISY or the Polisy just displays what it receives from the device.

My heartbeat program is set to run at startup. If the program doesn't receive an ON or OFF the THEN clause timer starts and will ultimately send the failure notification. The program needs to have the THEN clause manually executed when you first create it. I have a lot of battery-operated devices and have never had the program let me down or not received a heartbeat signal as long as the battery voltage was sufficient.

The on/off signal is sent by the sensor and usually alternates between ON and OFF, the ISY/Polisy only displays the status sent by the device. The heartbeat signal cannot be queried. It's sent out about every 24 hours but can vary by an hour, which is why I gave the program 26 hours to listen for the heartbeat signal. That way you won't get a false alert if the signal is delayed. Not sure why you're not seeing a change on the second device, maybe try deleting and reinstalling the sensor will fix it, or you can try doing a factory reset on the device then a restore device from the Polisy

The heartbeat signal status alternates between ON and OFF, this is normal. The following program can be used to send a notification if there's no heartbeat signal IF Control Heartbeat is not switched ON or Control Heartbeat is not switched OFF THEN wait 26 hours Send Heartbeat fail notification ELSE

@Michel Kohanim The "dark ages" doesn't sound appealing, any chance you could reach out to Ken Fairbanks for an update. I would assume it would be to his financial benefit to keep you in the loop being that you represent a fairly large Insteon user base. Do you have, or need, his contact info?
