  1. F.Y.I. X10 is still developing their product line. Their newer switches now support LED bulbs. All the manufacturers are struggling with supply issues, and the factories in China, where most of these products are produced, have also been constrained with shutdowns due to Covid. We all just to have tread water until things get back to normal, which they will.

  5. Did you convert the switch from a 6 button to an 8 button. If so, the factory reset will convert it back to a 6 button switch and you need to reconfigure it back to the 8-button mode.
  6. The disc is the piezo buzzer. Did you try doing a factory reset on the switch? Not sure what button you're referring to when you say "pushing the first button does nothing" The large top button should turn the relay on, and the large bottom button should turn the relay off.
  7. @MrTinker The following was posted by Insteon on July28th. They have yet to offer any "on hand" inventory. Being that the products come from China I would assume that they're constrained by supply chain issues and disruptions in the factories. ------------------------------------- We have great news to share! We expect to be able to take orders for on-hand inventory by mid-August. We are converting to a new e-commerce shopping platform that will give us improved functionality and we are currently working on that integration. As a reminder, our on-hand inventory will be limited by product types - and limited availability on top of that. And as previously mentioned, we do have orders in process at our factories for additional units and a greater scope of product, but those are much longer lead times before they hit our warehouse.
  8. Take a look at your event log to see if the IOLinc is receiving multiple on/off commands. If you don't see more than one command then it could be spurious powerline signals such as the gate motor that's creating noise on the powerline.

  10. @GQuack I believe that he is no longer supporting or developing the node server. I use network resources to control my Onkyo. If you search the forum, you'll find info on controlling the receiver via your network resources. What model Onkyo do you have?
  11. The cable you ordered is not the correct cable. You need the PLM serial cable from smartenit, link is below PLM Serial Cable - Smartenit
  12. "Cannot determine Insteon engine" is usually associated with poor communications between the device and the PLM. As suggested above, make sure the sensor is in the linking mode. Also try bringing the sensor closer to the PLM

INSTEON UPDATE 8/24/2022 An update from Ken on where we are at with customer support Hello, I thought it was important to reach out to you and let you know we are aware the community is frustrated with our email response times and you have every right to be. We sincerely feel this is the #1 issue we are dealing with right now at Insteon Technologies. I know I have communicated that we are small team and are doing everything we can to get caught up on our support inquiries. Everyone here is pitching in where they can, but we are not getting the job done. We are actively recruiting for customer support specialists. As you can expect, once we get them on board, there will be a learning curve as they get up to speed. So, this is not an immediate fix. For those of you worried that your Hub will be turned off because of an issue with your subscription, please rest assured we will not be turning your Hub off until we have resolved the individual issues with subscriptions. If you receive an email from the subscription team, please reply. I personally apologize to everyone who has reached out (many of you, multiple times) and not gotten a timely response. It is completely unacceptable, and it goes against the very grain of us wanting to be a “customer first” company. So, once again, I ask for your patience and understanding.   14. When you downloaded the new version of the ISY finder did you first clear your java cache including checking the box "all installed applications" I have Java 8 ver 341 on windows 10 and the launcher works without issues.

  17. Is the smoke bridge currently linked to the HUB or the ISY? If it was once linked to the HUB and then linked to the ISY did you factory reset it before you linked it to the ISY?
  18. If you use the Insteon ON/OFF switch, there isn't a required minimum load, but it's not dimmable.
  19. @Sachelis Internet Explorer was discontinued on June 15, 2022 and is no longer supported by Microsoft. Microsoft's current browser is Microsoft Edge
  20. I think we all need to be patient and let this play out over the next few months. Ken Fairbanks is currently dealing with a dump truck full of manure that he inherited.   21. @Geddy The OP in his original post stated he was using the Polisy, there was no mention of the ISY994. So I guess there was a bit of confusion.
  22. @Snibley You're attempting to update the Polisy from PG2 which has been depreciated. Instead, you should use the admin console, Under System | Upgrade packages. Also, if your "upgrade bios" is not greyed out then you need to upgrade that as well. ,
  23. @Snibley The only update option in the admin console I have under system is "Upgrade Packages". Is that what you're referring to? Exactly where does the green bar appear?
  24. Out of curiosity, where did you see the green bar? I've never had one, even when I've had pending updates. When I click on updates the admin console shuts down and then the Polisy updates.
  25. "news" could mean a deal has been reached. Not necessarily that the product availability is imminent.
