  1. It appears that you have the 500 series board and just need to follow the ISY firmware upgrade instructions in my earlier post.
  2. Let me know what the outcome is once you get it resolved. Submit a Ticket: https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets
  3. With your current setup did you ever have, or do you have, any working Zwave devices? There appears to be a blue led behind where the knockout is for the LED. I'm not sure exactly how Zwave would react if you had the 500 dongle with the 4.xx firmware. I think the only person who could answer that would be someone from UDI.
  4. The 300 series Zwave board has an LED protruding out of the rear of the ISY next to the "Port A" jack. The 500 series does not have an LED. If you added a Zwave board after your initial purchase of the ISY you'll need to have UDI activate it. Assuming that you have the 500 series board and the 4.x.x firmware your Zwave wouldn't work. If you now update your firmware you will probably lose your entire Zwave configuration as you most likely won't be able to do a Zwave backup / restore per the upgrade instructions. If you click on Zwave | Zwave version you should see this if you have a 500 series board
  5. The 500 series board will not work with the 4.x.x ISY firmware. Is there anyway you can check your invoice when you bought the zwave board to see what exactly you bought.
  6. Sounds good to me. The firmware upgrade from 5.0.15 to 5.3.4 should be easy with little intervention. Be sure to read the following notes, click on the link below before upgrading your 4.6.2 firmware
  7. If your Zwave was working with 4.6.2 then you have the older 300 series Zwave dongle. It's possible that your Zwave dongle failed being that its version info doesn't display. Try removing power from the ISY then let it reboot and if that doesn't help then you should probably do the upgrade. The 500 series zwave dongle has better specs than the older 300 series and the newer dongle and ISY firmware are now Zwave certified. You'll probably have a much more robust zwave network after the update. The current ISY firmware also has numerous enhancements and bug fixes over the older 4.x.x firmware
  8. The 4.9.0 firmware DOES NOT support the newer 500 series Zwave dongle. You'll have to update the ISY firmware to 5.3.4. Be sure to read the update instructions as you may have to manually update some of your programs and scenes after the firmware update. Your login password will revert to the default and your email configuration may have to be re-entered. Best to take a screenshot of your ISY configuration before the upgrade.
  9. Being that the devices respond to a query means that the PLM is able to communicate with the device. I agree that you've reached the maximum link tables that the PLM can hold which is about 1000. Some of the older PLMs had a lower capacity. Adding to what hart2hart said, when you delete a device from the ISY the link tables still take up space in the PLM. It's best to do a factory reset on the PLM then a restore PLM. That will reclaim link space in the PLM. If you have any battery operated devices be sure to disable automatic writes to battery devices in the admin console before you do a restore PLM. You'll then have to restore the battery devices one at a time making sure that only one of them is in the linking mode at any one time.
  10. If you query the switch from the ISY what response do you get? What's the 4 digit date code and the model number of the switch? If you disconnect the load wire from the switch does the status then show correctly in the ISY?
  11. Wouldn't a simple program work just as well? If FAN is switched on THEN Wait 20 minutes Set Fan OFF ELSE
  12. Put your zwave devices, one at a time, into the linking mode then on the admin console zwave menu click on Remove a Zwave device. After it's removed you can then add it back. Another possible option, being that the devices are technically still installed is to use Repair Links in your Zwave menu which should add it back to your device tree. Attached is the Zwave user guide which should answer all your questions. ISY Zwave manual.pdf
  13. If you've removed your wave devices then there is nothing more you can delete. I'm assuming that you removed then via the Zwave menu and not just deleted them from your device tree. If you're planning on using Zwave then you should really update your Zwave dongle to the new 500 series dongle which can be purchased from UDI. UDI no longer supports the 300 series board which means that you won't be able to update your ISY firmware to the current version 5.3.4 which is now Zwave certified.
  14. If you're still having issues you may want to update your ISY to the latest firmware 5.3.4 and then clear your Java cache and applications and download the ISY finder again. The update from 5.2.0 to 5.3.4 is painless.
  15. The daughter board sits on top of the main board Here's a video someone posted on repairing the PLM https://www.rototron.info/insteon-plm-repair-tutorial/
  16. When you open the ISY launcher what firmware version displays for the ISY?
  17. This Is this the link you should use after you deleted your java files and applications. What version of the ISY firmware are you running? https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  18. You can only have one device in the linking mode at any one time. Make sure all devices are not in the linking mode then try to link one device.
  19. Take a look at this How to set JAVA_HOME in Windows 10 | Java Tutorial Network
  20. It's possible that Java didn't get installed in the default folder. If that's the case, uninstall and reinstall it. The default location for Windows 10 is :C:\:ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Java
  21. What device can't the ISY communicate with? In the admin console under files, turn off the write updates to battery devices and see if the error message goes away. Do you have any red exclamation points showing on your device tree?
  22. Trying clearing your java cache including all applications which will delete the finder from your desktop then download the ISY finder again. Reboot your computer before you download the finder,
  23. try disabling the switch by pulling out the set button then. take a look at any programs that include the switch as they may have been modified when you upgraded your firmware causing the program to enter a loop. Also make sure that your firmware and UI are the same version.
  24. Make sure your ISY firmware and UI are the same version If not, clear your Java cache, including all applications, down load the correct UI version for your ISY firmware

    Error ISY Freeze

If you run the topography report you can then sort its address column making it easy to find the problem device. Especially helpful if you have a lot of devices.
