Insteon product update 1/10/2023
Hi everyone, Happy New Year! We started off 2023 with a ‘Lunch with Insteon’ webinar last Friday. Thank you for everyone who joined us. If you missed it, click this link Passcode Required - Zoom and use passcode zu.2Hs$U to watch the recording. I am excited to announce two new products – the Insteon i3 Dial (DS01) and the Insteon i3 Outlet (WR01). The i3 Dial is a modern take on the classic rotary switch that allows for a simple and intuitive way to turn lights on/off and fine-tune dim levels. The i3 Outlet behaves much like existing Insteon On/Off Outlets, but it should be noted that i3 products have been re-designed from the ground up. Also, both of these products are supported in the current version of Director but we are unable to support them in the Insteon for Hub app. On the product availability front, we just got in the Popular 50-Button Set for Keypads (2401BT50) and more On/Off Switches (2477S). Later this month, we will be getting in more On/Off (2635-222) and Dimmer (2457D2) Modules as well as Water Leak Sensors (2852-222). The Outdoor On/Off Module (2634-222) arrives at the end of February while Powerline Noise Filters (1626-10) and PLM’s (2413S and 2413U) are expected by the end of March. We are now offering PLM repair and Hub 2 data migration services, both of which people have been requesting. I do recommend watching the webinar recording as Richard (my co-founder) walks you through some of the important features of our mobile app. He shared that we are working on supporting I/O Module and Range Extenders within the Director app by end of February. He also announced we plan on supporting Thermostats and Mini-Remotes within Director. Another important Director feature we are working on is an in-app indication when a sensor is no longer communicating with the Hub. A dead battery is usually the culprit, but at least you will now know in a timely fashion when it is not sensing. I know this was a long update. So thank you to everyone who made it this far. I hope that you see that we do take your feedback to heart. You asked for the ability to have Hub data migrated. You asked for Thermostats to be supported in Director – and we initially said that was not going to happen. We heard your voices loud and clear so we dedicated resources to these two projects. I cannot promise we will check every box on every wish list, but I can promise we will always listen. Thank you, Ken CEO, Insteon Technologies

Eisy- ZWave not working
Try removing power from the eisy, wait a minute, then let it boot up, which can take a few minutes.

Start Over
@GRoehrborn When you updated your ISY firmware did you clear your Java cache, including installed applications, and then download a new IoX Launcher? In help about, does it show the correct firmware and UI versions? If not here's the link to the IoX launcher. Current ISY firmware is 5.3.4 https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

Admin Consol seems in endless loop
What's your ISY firmware and UI versions? Is the power led on your PLM on? What leds on the ISY front panel are on?
-
Can connect through devices, not to admin panel
Your username and password may have reverted to the default admin/admin Clear your java cache, including installed applications, then download the IoX Launcher, as it's possible your UI and ISY firmware don't match. A match is necessary for the ISY to properly work. Make sure DHCP is enabled in your router

ISY994i Network Resources
Upgrading from 4.xx to 5.3.4 may require some user intervention. Read the release notes for updating from 4.xx to 5.xx. The update should not affect your network resources.

Z-Wave devices not migrating after switching it eisy.
In addition to what @kzboray mentioned, what is your ISY and UI firmware versions? Your ISY Zwave version indicates that you have the 500 series board. If you have the Zmatter dongle plugged into the eisy you should have a migration button option in the configuration tab. When you press that button it will give you 3 options, the middle one is the migration from the ISY 500 to the eisy Zmatter.
-
"Note Z-Wave migration can only be done from 994/500 Series board"?
Migrating Z-wave from the ISY to the eisy or Polisy requires the 500 series board. If you only have a few Z-wave devices, then it shouldn't be too painful to manually install them in the eisy or Polisy after first uninstalling them from the ISY

eisy Migration and Network Resources
@dakall re: network resources Once you migrate, your network resources need to be saved, they should then work

Migration 994/zwave to Eisy/Zmatter
@Chris Jahn I would like to test a few Z-wave devices with the eisy. When I plug the Zmatter dongle into the eisy I get a "Z-wave dongle not responding" error. I'm assuming that I need to push the Migrate button in order for the eisy to recognize the Zmatter dongle. Will I then lose the ability to migrate my 500 Z-wave network to the eisy, as once the migrate button is pushed the options are no longer available as was the case with the Polisy.

eisy can't access Admin console

Support thread for: IoX v.5.5.0
The range extenders will probably show up in a future UD firmware release.

eisy can't retrieve nodes
Wi-Fi is disabled when the ethernet cable is plugged in and connected to your router. If Wi-fi has been previously setup, then when you disconnect the ethernet cable it will automatically revert back to wi-fi.

Is there way to make icon on/off only?
Is it possible to create a run widget for an "if" or "then" clause in a program?

Support thread for: PG3x 3.1.21 (January 23, 2023)
I was able to update both the Polisy o 3.1.17 and PG3x on the eisy, however it took a few attempts before successfully updating.

ISY Disconnected
Can you connect to the ISY using the IoX Launcher, if so, verify the Firmware and UI versions. Be sure to first delete your java cache including installed applications, then download the IoX Launcher

eisy can't access Admin console
I've had the same problem with eisy and had to add it manually to the launcher. However, the eisy will occasionally disappear from the launcher and needs to be manually added back again. I also have a Polisy and ISY994 that are in the launcher that continue to be displayed without issues. Anyone else have their eisy disappear from the launcher after adding it?

eisy WiFi
@Javi I finally got it working. The esiy wifi was connecting to my guest network which blocked it from my main network, which is why it didn't show up. The wired connection was properly connecting to my main network. Javi, thank you for all your help. It's much appreciated.

eisy WiFi
I pressed the search icon, but it didn't find anything, and I'm back to square one. My eisy is using a reserved address in the router, and I had renamed it when I set up the address. My Polisy and ISY994 connect to the LAN from UD Mobile without any errors, the problem is only with the eisy on Wi-Fi

First impressions of 994 to eisy
Try adding it manually to the IoX Launcher, that's what I had to do.
