Here you go, thanks! FreeBSD polisy 12.2-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE-p6 r369564 POLISY amd64 I didn't realize loading the ISY was not included in the pkgs.
-
Hi Michel, I dug out my Polisy device (straight from UDI) and followed the SSH commands and updated per your instructions. I double checked and all pkgs are up to date. The ISY service restart shows as not found and confirmed there is no reference to ISY in rc.d. Am I missing a ISY pkg? Thanks!

Excellent, I'll check with Aar to see if they have any in a few weeks.

Hi Michel, I posted the Aar email previously. My friend says tried to buy an ISY from AAR for one of his installs and was informed it is being discontinued. Is this true? Thanks Hi Mike, Thank you for contacting Aartech Canada! ISY994IZW+IRPRO is on hold at the moment due to it being on manufacturer back order. We are not allowing back orders due to an unknown ETA. Sorry about that! Thanks, what about a vanilla ISY Pro? Hi Mike, Yes, same story unfortunately. Hopefully they will be available soon.

I have a Polisy in a box in anticipation of an ISY migration. For Node servers I just use a virtual server.

Direct from UDI is not cost effective for Canadians, so I'll order once they have stock.

They aren't - why I'm asking. My emails confirmed the same. "We are not allowing back orders due to an unknown ETA. Sorry about that!"

Aartech is the supplier I contacted and they aren't taking orders for any of the ISYs. I guess the only option is to order direct from UDI and pay full price plus the exchange and shipping.
-
Nonsense? The Canadian supplier contacted me and said the ISY is on indefinite hold because they cannot get an ETA for shipping. Thanks.
-
My friend does small automation installations and was told by his Canadian supplier that they are discontinuing the ISY. Perhaps this just temporary for this supplier because of chip shortages? Does anyone have any insight or rumors?

Are you using start.jnlp? Or the old launcher?

Hi all! Is there anyway to track down what this error means? I see a number of them in the log but not sure what's causing it. System -170001 [UDSockets] RSub:25 error:6 The RSub: number changes 25, 44 , 46, 45, etc Does it mean there are no sockets for connection? I do connect from the ISY to remote servers and vice versa. Thanks in advance! mike

"Amazon and google go through different servers so 1 can be down while the other works. Since 1 does work, I'm assuming your setup is correct and google may be having a temporary issue. You could unlink your account and the. Relink it to see if that helps as well. " Re-linking worked. It actually took longer to find the setting than to unlink/relink. For anyone looking for it: Click your profile top right in Google Home App / Assistant Settings / Devices / Add devices / Link a smart home device / Universal Devices - select to unlink Repeat the process and select UD in the long list of service providers to relink. Thanks!

As the title suggests I'm having problems with Google Home. My wife complained spoken commands aren't working. She just hears "Sorry I couldn't reach Universal Devices". A reboot of the device didn't help. My Amazon Echo is functioning and responding properly. Any ideas where to start to diagnose the problem? Thanks in advance. mike

Well I think there is interest as proved by wifi light bulbs, switches etc but like you said the setup can be overwhleming. Once my brother got a taste of automation he went nuts, he's darn close to fully automated with the hub being an ISY with help from IFTTT to tie in his Wyze Cams for motion detection and recording.

Got it, your hack is good. Portal supports contacts so the only other way would be to trigger 1/0 on a variable after 100. Not ideal...

I had challenges with temperature data as well. Not sure how helpful this is but I used polyglot for my multi-sensor (MQTT) and it reports Temp and Humidity data properly in the ISY. My challenge was to get Celsius to work which was a pita. mike

While it's a bit of work, I used Homebridge homebridge-isy-maker to make virtual devices.
-
Thanks for this info, I've been wonder for yrs what the colors meant...
-
Update - in the end it was a simple matter of switch F to C in a couple of files in the Polyglot node and then doing an update on the ISY in the Nodeserver tab

I don't know your exact setup but here is my Garage Door program. I wrote it about 10 yrs ago and has never failed... Garage Door Status Monitor If 'IOGarage Sensor' Status is On Then Send Notification to 'Default' content 'Garage Door Notification Closing' Else Send Notification to 'Default' content 'Garage Door Notification Opening' Set 'Main Hall Lights' On Wait 5 minutes Set 'Main Hall Lights' Off
