  1. Just curious how the device names and icons are determined in IOX. I installed an Aeotec temperature and humidity sensor and as expected I ended up with 13 devices. One of the devices is called Multisensor and it gives me the temperature and dew point. The icon is a temperature bar graph. Humidity is listed under another device called Weather Sensor with a light bulb icon. The Aeotec device parameters are listed under Heat Alarm with a bell icon. And on and on for 10 more. I know you can rename the devices to something more appropriate. Is there a way to change the icons? Which brings me to my question how the initial names and icons are determined in IOX? Also please excuse any misuse of terminology, new to the world of z-wave. Anybody know? Thanks...
  2. @tlightne but I remember you had to mail the Polisy back which would cost about $50 to $75 from Canada. I'll just use it for Home Assistant when support is done. 🙂
  3. @tlightne I can't find the email, I did look. I remember UDI offered a small discount for a new EISY and a timeline for Polisy EOL. I did buy the Beta module and I'll move to EISY when the time comes. I'm not on drugs...
  4. @ShawnW we were notified by UDI when EISY about they would offer a discount to buy a EISY and support would end within 3 yrs.
  5. Like I said EOL. I have a < 3yr to move to EISY according the UDI. At least I have time to weigh my options. Annoyed? Yes...
  6. Thanks, so it's not the module itself that is Beta but rather the Policy/EISY firmware that drives it that is Beta. I don't want to buy like I did the Polisy only to find out it's already EOL.
  7. Is it because the module firmware is upgradable and will be finalized at some point for certification?
  8. Update from 5.6.0 to 5.6.2 went well, but I see this on login. Restart didn't clear it. Update: Cleared itself after a period of time.
  9. @Techman that clears things up thanks.
  10. Hi all, I'm thinking about migrating from my ISY to Polisy and according to the UD Migration instructions: "Everything is migrated except Z-wave at this time. Recommended approach is to be sure to print Tools / Topography. Then, using the topology, exclude then include your Z-Wave devices in ZW order ie ZW_01. This way, whatever programs you already have will continue to work and whatever Alexa spokens you have will point to the same devices." I don't see any reference in the admin console using Exclude/Include terminology. Is there an actual setting in the admin console to actually Exclude and Include a Z-Wave device? Thanks!

    Adding Zigbee devices

I believe there is very little interest on the UDI side based on previous comments. The C8 looks very nice, which makes me wonder how soon the Z-matter USB module will be updated...
  12. Says the official UDI spokesman. You need to do better.
  13. @lilyoyo1 your post has zero value. I asked Michel about the z-matter module in January 25 2023 and they're still not available. UDI should help keep their end users informed, it's not hard.
  14. I asked him about z-matter module [lack of] availability for Polisy in Canada on January 25 2023 and never got a response. I gave up and currently staying on the ISY until supply chain and firmware is sorted out.
  15. You can get them in Canada. https://www.aartech.ca/search?controls[1]=eisy Sorry - within minutes of posting it changed to pre-order from available.
  16. I understand the complexity of replacing it, how many of the competing IOT systems use a similar java base for their admin console and what benefit does it add? As an aside my friend is java guru Gosling's sister.
  17. Is UDI making any moves away from java launcher? It seems to be a source for so many end user problems. I read somewhere the mobile app was going to serve as the basis for a new desktop app maybe misread though...
  18. Any reason you wouldn't use a 700 series z-wave dongle? Fyi the 800 series dongles will be coming soon. Hubitat already launched their C8 with really amazing range and zwave zigbee and zmatter.
  19. Got it, so am I but the game seems to be getting competitive...
  20. Isn't this an "if" they get the documents from Insteon? Or maybe you read something I didn't...

  22. @asbril can you help me find where you do the update in PG3 itself? I go through all the clickable areas of PG3 3.1.18 and I don't see where you can update. PS I don't have any PGs at this point and I haven't migrated from my ISY994.
  23. I wish they would get the beep messaging corrected. Is it 4 beeps, 4+1 beeps, but I count 5+1... Easy update, working perfectly, zero issues.
  24. @kegacide you still need a PLM with the eisy for your insteon right?
