I casually watch the forums and indeed the Java bit seems to be a never ending source of pain for some. Time to move on.

Pairing with z-wave seems better when the devices are close. My z-wave devices are all over my 2000 sqft home and never had a problem. I have Zmatter dongle and used to have a Zooz 700 dongle.

I'm using Unifi as well. The Unifi Protect doorbell and cams trigger the eisy/insteon lighting nicely using their webhooks.

Not sure why Michel didn't post this update on the Forum. Lots of good news. https://www.universal-devices.com/2025-liftoff/
  5. I use a z-wave relay and an ESP DHT thermometer sensor with mqtt. The DHT updates very quickly. I have an Aeotec Multisensor but found updates to be way too slow to be useful. I have 4 DHTs around the house. The combo regulates humidity perfectly and with forecast temperatures ensures very minimal frosting on the windows during the winter. I built it a few years ago and, at the time, finding a good z-wave/zigbee thermostat that worked with eisy/polisy was a pain. So went with esp which made the build more complicated but very reliable. Let me know if you find a a good z-wave/zigbee thermostat.
  6. 1. So you see the switch in the console but not UD Mobile? Did you sync UD Mobile?
  7. My son uses HA for his Aqara door locks, Ikea temp sensors and Zigbee smart plugs. One Zigbee smart plug is used in an automation to control a 240V contactor which turns on/off a garage heater based on info from the Ikea temp sensors. He also uses a cheap android tablet for a really nice dashboard. I use HA with an Insteon modem at our AZ condo. I run Tailscale the HA for remote access. Finally I use a Polisy/HA combo at our main house. HA has come a long way and solves lots of smart device integration problems.
  8. I'm using Home Assistant for a lot of this missing functionality. More and more it's my goto platform.
  9. It's hard to ignore them when there's hundreds of them. There should be log levels so users have control of what they want to see.
  10. I randomly got this update message in the last few days. Judging by the date it seems oddly old. I don't follow updates closely and there doesn't seem to be any discussion in the forum about it. UDX HW/Admin Service for Universal Devices eisy/Polisy Release notes for 3.5.8 - 07/23/2024 - Fixed upgrade failure bug - Fixed tpm and sleep issues - Fixed warning for upgrade to 14.x I presume it is safe to update? Thanks! Update: Running fine. Why can't UDI post UDX updates along with their IOX in the website section Software Releases & Updates? Isn't it equally or more important?
  11. A few thoughts. For the most part my Polisy (EISY) handles mostly Insteon lighting as I find their switches are still the best by far. My HA instance has been generally handling more automation tasks over time, mostly DHT ESP boards and Zigbee temperature sensors. I run a separate Zigbee controller on HA. HA also pulls data from the Polisy for a very useful and dynamic dashboard. It's too bad Polisy can't do more in this area.
  12. Just a USB Zooz Z-Wave stick off Amazon
  13. eisy. My brother had no devices to start. He chose to start fresh with the zooz.
  14. Not sure this helps but my brother is currently running this firmware download from Zooz. Zooz_ZST10-700_SDK_7.18.3_US
  15. Same, routines are sporadic at best. We haven't changed anything in months. Maybe it has something to do with the impending rollout of their new Alexa (Claude) AI.
  16. Did you select ZMatter migration at one point? My brother did and was having the same problem with his Zooz dongle. A ticket was required and a remote access visit by Chris to repair.
  17. mmb replied to MexicanRadio's topic in Polisy
@Techman Polisy has a serial port. EISY needs a special cable for the serial PLM. Yes, confusing.

There is a looming EOL for Polisy. I seem to remember support was suppose to be 5 years which started several years or more ago. I really don't feel like buying another ISY.
  19. I agree, it's difficult to read the text on the overlay, maybe a different color would help.
  20. I'm surprised there isn't more interest or feedback. I use ESP Home to monitor temperature/humidity and soil moisture in our Vegipods using Home Assistant. I also have multiple Temp/humidity sensors throughout the house to control my house humidifier using HA. Supporting ESP Home would add lots of functionality to the EISY/Polisy.
  21. @Javi I got the 171 update. So the default display on app launch is Device and Scenes. The bottom Home tab brings up a mostly blank display like picture I sent earlier. Controllers would be presented here if you have more than one. Tapping the picture on the new Home display takes you to Devices and Settings if you only have one controller. Automations is now where the old Home display is located. Correct?
  22. Ok I'll wait for it, nothing yet.
  23. I have lots of information that I monitor in Variables, currently the only way to get to Variables is through the Automations button. If you fix Automations how do I get to Variables? Sorry a little confused.
  24. So launching the app takes me to Devices and Scenes, tapping the Home button just displays a blank display with Controllers/Online/My Home as below
