@jkraus look into UD's ISY portal, makes all of it easy.

Perfect thanks!

For various reasons like Insteon closing its doors, I’ve had to shutdown my Polisy while I do some testing with the Hub. My prod system is an ISY and both this device and the Polisy are loaded onto UD Mobile. While in UD Mobile to control the ISY I’m constantly prompted with an error message that UD Mobile can’t connect with Polisy which of course I know because I shut it down. Short of deleting Polisy from UD Mobile is there a way to disable or pause these messages? Thanks!

Support thread for: ISY on Polisy (IoP) v5.4.3 (April 8, 2022)

Updated via command line and everything seems fine. ISY Launcher reported I had a mismatch on the FW and UI versions which I corrected. Deleting java cache and start.jnlp fixed. UI date is fixed, my one ZW scene test was fine, Insteon and ZW device tests are fine. I haven't migrated to Polyglot V3. -
For me the X10s appeared in the ISY logs by hundreds at a time after I installed a new UPS. I moved the ISY from my small server room to my office and things cleared up immediately, no more X10. All the X10 records had a time/date stamp.

I had a problem with a Zooz multi sensor device that was flipping back to default. The sensor comes set for Fahrenheit as default but in Canada we use Celsius. It was relatively simple to set the sensor to C using the Polisy parameters but the next day I would check and it had reset itself to F. I contacted Zooz and they never heard of the problem but suggested maybe a problem with the Polisy. The manual does refer to a nightly check with the controller for updates but I don’t think Polisy supports that functionality. Maybe the check in caused the reset to default? The sensor went back to the seller.

@brians I updated to have a look, there were 12 updates for me. The update went fine and querying the Z-Wave devices seems ok and no unusual behavior. I have a Z-Wave switch and a plugin dimmer module mixed with an Insteon switch and plugin dimmer. I use the Zooz and Insteon usb controller sticks. -

Updated to v5.4.2 - zero issues. -
Yup...?

Yaml ?

Zooz provided this file to me and it didn't work for me either. They concluded it was a bad stick.

I finally received my replacement Zooz controller. I updated without issue and everything is working perfectly.

My brother had a really bad flicker problem with one overhead LED light which is controlled by an Insteon dimmer. As a last resort he bought a dimming stabilizer from AArtech in Canada. - bought the "yellow" but there's a "blue" available as well. He wasn't hopeful and if it didn't work he was going to give up and replace the dimmer with a regular switch. This little device works amazingly well, flicker is gone and the dimming is very smooth as well. Unfortunately it's pretty expensive so I was wondering if I could hack one together. Does anybody know what circuitry is in this thing? https://www.amazon.com/PCS-LDS-120V-Dimming-Stabilizer-120V/dp/B07B1LY2J9

I seem to remember I had to re-save/recreate some of the programs as they were highlighted in yellow and not working when I updated. Also don't forget the update the UI by clearing the java cache and rerunning start.jnlp

Slick setup!

@apostolakisl I hardly use any of the capability of BI, but the trigger programming is different on the backyard cams because they trigger more with snow storms.
-
I had similar issues with IR until up updated to the newer cams that have low light capability like ColorView. So now I don't use IR at all. Ambient street lights are enough. The motion detect/ISY is used more now to scare away kids checking cars and the light do highlight objects. This is the old front cam with IR, as you can see there is a world of difference with the newer tech.
-
Why a waste? Do you continuously record and review 24X7? Motion detect is the perfect application here. I have 5 cams all on motion detect and it works perfectly. I do not use IR on the front cam and BI can control size of object causing motion so snowflakes are not a problem. Sounds like you need BI...

@larryllix Here is a quick demo of BI/ISY and motion detect - you'll see my house lights turn on via the ISY as the van approaches. It's the morning paper delivery at 3:00 am. The cam uses low light technology called ColorVu and costs about $100. Basically it's a HikVision knockoff. You'll see ambient lighting on the street provides plenty of light with this technology but the house lights do help.

@fastbird1 I thought you would so I edited my post and added. But here it is again State variable /rest/vars/set/2/38/1 -> 2 is state table, 38 is variable number and 1 is the value. I have over 50 state variables and the 38th is the motion detected value. "Set" is obvious, BI is setting the value to 1 on motion - classic binary 1 is on and 0 is off So the program is watching for motion (1) and it resets the value to no motion (0) when the program finishes.
-
@larryllix in this configuration the video stream is just passed along to BlueIris and it does all the heavy lifting - all the features in the cam aren't really used. BlueIris powerful pro sw given its really low price.
