  1. The 2487s replaced the 2486. The 2486 is power line only and the 2487s is dual band
  2. Look under the nodes section
  3. They will respond in time. No one here knows anything outside of their public updates which can be found on their website under their blogs
  4. It will. That's why I mentioned it. You would need to add the zwave board to the Isy Your only other option based on what you stated would be eBay
  5. If you have zwave, you can add a zwave outdoor plug-in adapter. Ditto for a motion sensor as well if you want motion control. Google zwave outdoor motion sensor and outdoor plug in module and they'll show up. If you want insteon, you'll have to go to eBay. They do not have a dimmable outdoor unit though have a dimmable receptacle (not outdoor rated) Unfortunately I'm not aware of any that are dimmable
  6. I'd submit a ticket. I know a few people bricked their polisy units using ssh.
  7. I used it to upgrade mine and it did it. I cleared Java afterwards and it showed properly
  8. That i agree with. I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do though I'm reserving my excitement until then. I'm hoping Lutron supports it with Ra3
  9. I doubt that will happen. Maybe with future zwave devices but not with current stuff
  10. You'll need to contact UDI directly. I know polisy sells quickly when it is restocked. From what I've gathered from Michel, I'd say last quarter some time this year (after September)
  11. Personally, I'd get polisy or wait for the eisy to be released. Both will allow for greater zwave control and functionality long term. I'm regards to availability, you're better off contacting UDI directly. While they are still making 994zw devices, I highly doubt they're placing sizeable orders since the 994 is no longer their focus with their new controllers out/or coming out
  12. Zwave devices as controllers are complicated as not all devices can be added as a controller. Unfortunately this is mfg. dependant and different models (even from the same mfg.) can have different capabilities. Either way, what you're trying to do is not possible on 4.9. You'll need to upgrade your zwave board to at least the 500 series and upgrade your isy to 5.3.4 to even have the chance for it to be possible with your particular devices.
  13. There are alot of bug fixes in Polisy that needs to be done so its something that you should do anyway. Im not home myself to look at the prices nor would I take the time for something that can just as easily be done by yourself. Someone else may chime in with the exact prices for you however. In general- Most node servers are from Free to 75 bucks or so. The more popular ones such as Ecobee, Harmony, Sonos can cost towards the higher side.
  14. Dont you already have a polisy? Its just as simple for you to log into pg3 using the link that Geddy provided and seeing what those and any others you may potentially want costs.
  15. Everything is a different price. You access the store via PG3 interface. Current supported nodes are found on the forum under PG3
  16. It would be similar to the process now. I was just wondering since 800 chips are already available. They also wouldn't have to recertify which is also a cost savings
  17. Michel has also stated in a previous post to you that it was a usb stick https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/37776-eisy-home-packaging/?do=findComment&comment=345201
  18. I think thats what he meant when he talked about changing out the zwave usb dongle
  19. Your address is either typed incorrectly or its not in linking mode during the pairing process. Also, make sure that your UI matches your firmware
  20. Michel has stated sometime in Sept. @Michel Kohanim I was wondering- Will eisy stay with the 700 series zwave or use 800 series?
  21. Its already been out for 3! Thats 6 years total. What device do you find being supported that long? That doesnt mean it will stop working. That means they would no longer be trying to bring new features to it like they are now. Its the same situation that the isy994 is in.
  22. It's not a bad thing. Some people like to be on the latest and greatest while others take their time to grow into a new system. Polisy itself isnt going anywhere so you would still be able to use it. eisy simply allows UDI to have a purpose built solution to whats out now and coming out in the near term. This is why Michel talks about 3 years. We no longer live in a world where UDI can have a single controller for a 10 year period like the isy994. Too much changes too fast and consumer demands modern equipment. It costs them more time/money to keep updating an old controller than simply designing a new solution for the future. The great thing is that its a great investment either way. If you want the latest and greatest then any new controller will be worth purchasing. If not, then your old controller is just fine. it'll still work. There are people out there still using the ISY99 which came out over 10 years ago. However, UDI has to do what they have to do in order to remain relevant and stay in business. The main thing for that is to make money.
  23. See very first post and post directly above yours
  24. I hope so too. The quality of them are much much better than current insteon devices.
  25. They're are 2 separate things. eisy- Newest system. its a Polisy replacement that has MATTER etc. MatterZ board: Add on dongle for polisy which will replace the zooz (or whatever stick a person is using) usb stick on polisy
