  1. "Cloud" is just another name for "Internet" but it lets sales people sell more of the same.
  2. FanLinc can't but I fully understand what he is asking. That's a neat idea and all you need is a small DPDT relay and the Micro module. Then program a button for 'Winter' to turn on the relay.
  3. I have used keypads in cases like this. My house is full of keypads for this very reason.
  4. What exactly are you trying to do?
  5. 'Ang about. It seems to me that Irrigation Requirement is calculated everyday, so it's not the Irrigation Requirement that needs to be saved. It's the values needed to calculate that number. The important value is etoYesterday. So, how is etoYesterday calculated AND how and where is it stored?
  6. What if both are False? By your logic, If A OR B, then turn on Both.
  7. Ecobee looks nice, but I don't have any faith in a company or product where you can find the products they sell and when you click on a BUY button it just takes you to the top of the page. They don't even list pricing or products. Epic Fail.
  8. It's called Peel Smart Remote. It uses the IR blaster built into the tablet.
  9. No. I'd add a FanLinc to each fan then a KeypadLinc to control the fans and lights. It sounds like you have four switches. You can replace all four with two keypads.
  10. I use my tablet to operate my Samsung TV, amplifier, blue-ray, sound system and media-system. It's not connected to the ISY network, though I am looking for ways to control it via ISY.
  11. Use a FanLinc.

    Automated door knobs

Dang. So I should have kept the Zigbee radio module and bought a second ISY. Seems I am always making mistakes.
  13. Interesting. I was not aware of this function. What is the reason for this and how is it used?
  14. Picture a car radio with buttons. When you push one all the others go off. This is what grouping can do for you. I am using the right column of buttons to control a ceiling fan. The top button is High, then below that Medium, followed by Low them Off. Also set the buttons not to toggle. So when I push Low, only the Low button will light up.
  15. To me, forms are filled in from the top down. Having Add at the bottom is one item that confused me. Also, the "Recipients" is confusing. I did not know that was a sort button. I thought I had to click on it to add an email address.
  16. I don't know if they do or not. However the latch is locked and the machine knows that it is, so I can tie into that circuit.
  17. I have a front loading washing machine, so I am going to tie into the door locking device. When the door is locked, the machine is on.
  18. He was posting about the same time the forum was having problems. I do think he did not mean to post this five times.
  19. Because I didn't understand the interface.
  20. Go to Emails/Notificatins, Settings/Groups. Click Add. Type 'Test' under Groups. Click 'Select to Edit Content.' Click 'Recipients' in the box that opened. Get Error.
  21. Michael, I did not press enter. I will try to duplicate the problem when I get home.

    Dimming Keypad Load

I will be glad to send her a switch to replace the dimmer. Where do I ship it?

    Dimming Keypad Load

You forgot to mention whether you have advised all those living with you and guests about the limitations of that outlet and that you intend to remove the dimmer switch when you sell the house. My sisters house has an outlet controlled by a dimmer. It was this way when she bought it. I assume that it was installed by someone like you (and me)...someone who understood electrical systems and to not plug vacuum cleaners into such an outlet. Unfortunately, they did not remove it when they sold the house and now my sister must live with the additioinal risk, being unaware that this risk was there (until I told her). Sounds like she didn't have an inspection done before she bought the house.
  24. I had this same problem yesterday. I finally got it to function properly by restarting the interface several times.
  25. If HTML5 applications worked well, no one would be writing native applications. Native applications work much better.
