That depends entirely on your needs and what you want to accomplish. In any case, you can always upgrade your ISY as the need occurs. I started with the Pro and later added the Z-Wave module. I didn't add the IR capability until found a need for it.

I use the Hub to set parameters for Insteon devices that the ISY cannot (there are only very few). After adding the device to the ISY, I delete it from the Hub.

You cannot schedule a scene for the Open/Close sensor. You'll have to use a program. Also, use Status instead of Control to trigger the scene. That way Then will turn the dimmer On and Else will turn the dimmer Off.

Somfy does not sell window coverings, only motors and awnings. Other brands use Somfy motors.

There'll never be a fix for words that Amazon reserves. I've also had to change some spokens. For example, we have over and under window coverings (that's a trade term for a double motorized rod). The ISY only knows the last command sent by the MS, on or off. If you set the option to On commands only, the ISY will always show as On.

You can disable a device, you can disable a program, but you can't disable only a device within the program. But you can create a copy of the program, disable the copy and delete the device from the original program. That way, if you're running some tests, you won't need to rewrite the program.

Ten seconds is an awfully long time for a device to respond. I don't see that as even being possible. Are you estimating or have you actually timed the response?

That's not unusual. Something on the powerline is interfering with communication between the 2466 and the PLM. The ISY has no connection at all with the powerline (nor Insteon RF). It communicates only with the PLM.

If you can communicate with a dual-band device, but not a powerline only device, then you have something on the powerline causing the problem. The difficulty is not the hardware, old devices work fine with even the latest official ISY version, 4.6.2.

We have skunks, too. They're really cute, especially the youngsters, and cause no harm at all. If we approach them, then they simply run away. If we stand and look, they spend a minute or two looking back and then run away.

The Mini Remote fells and acts like a regular paddle switch, but how it feels is subjective. In any case, it cannot be installed on a wall box. The Mini remote wall bracket requires a blank wall behind it.

The Momo2+ is not fully supported in any ISY v4+, only one relay is available. BTW, having two relays instead of one does not make it better-unless of course you need two relays
