  1. The portal becomes activated after you set up the skill in the alexa app.
  2. Does ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2 appear in Your Smart Home Skills? Does Disable appear to the right? Did you get a message that you can close this window after enabling the skill? If not, then what specific message did you get? You can try disabling the skill and installing it again.
  3. Go to alexa.amazon.com Log in using your Amazon account credentials. Select Smart Home, Get More Smart Home Skills, search for ISY, enable ISY Optimized for Smart Home V2.
  4. The usual procedure is to run the program based on a device in the scene, preferably a device that does not appear in any other scene. Or use a program that turns on the scene and runs the network resource.
  5. It seems that you did everything possible to bring the ToggleLinc back to life. Does the ToggleLinc enter linking mode successfully? The ToggleLinc is a power line only device. Try powering it using an extension cord (with one end cut off) plugged into the same circuit as the PLM.
  6. Which mode was the thermostat in when you requested the change in temperature?
  7. I don't see anything about 6" other than the block used for the stationary test. Reading further on: § 1211.11 (2) The moving object is to consist of a 1 7⁄8 inch (47.6 mm) diameter cylindrical rod, 34 1⁄2 inches (876 mm) long, with the axis point being 34 inches (864mm) from the end. The axis point is to be fixed at a point centered directly above the beam of the photoelectric sensor 36 inches (914 mm) above the floor. The photoelectric sensor is to be mounted at the highest position as recommended by the manufacturer. The rod is to be swung as a pendulum through the photoelectric sensor’s beam from a position 45 degrees from the plane of the door when in the closed position. See figure 4. Emphasis added
  8. If the garage door can touch the vehicle at any point when closed or closing, then the safety beams are not in the correct position. Height is only part of the correct placement.
  9. As long as you have any ISY skill, devices and scenes will continue to function.
  10. The safety beams are not in the correct position.
  11. Alexa can turn on the thermostat to the setting active when the thermostat was turned off. That's good. Alexa does not recognize warmer at all, but if I ask for cooler, the consistent response is, "setting spoken thermostat to 34." The thermostat does not actually change to 34
  12. I've had that happen a few times. Try stating the command first, followed by the spoken.
  13. You cannot restore a text program. You can only restore a backup created by the iSY.
  14. Info only: A "plug" is what's found at the end of a lamp coed (or extension cord). A plug has two blades or two blades and a pin. A plug gets plugged in. The device that receives the plug is called a receptacle or has a device name, such as LampLinc or ApplianceLinc or FilterLinc or even a timer.
  15. I have four Amazon accounts, only one of which is prime, so I can do exactly what is mention, that is, "Echo_Name, turn on/off the light/fan etc." in the room I'm in without having to specify which room. Echos and Dots withing hearing range of each other do need different names. Disadvantage: I sometimes use the wrong wake name
  16. I indicated two methods of control. which are you talking about? BTW, I have three Harmony Hubs, soon to add a fourth. IMO, the Harmony Hub both limitless and limited, but that's off topic.
  17. If your receiver/preamp requires IR to change the volume, then transmitting IR through the air is the only way to control the volume, unless you stick an IR transmitter over the receiver/preamp receiver
  18. Program_2 is disabled. Program_1 If Then Run Program 'Program_2' Program_2 If From Sunrise To 5:59:00PM (same day) Then Set Scene 'OneLight' On Else Set Scene 'FiveLights' On
  19. Configuration. Portals. Does that show a registered active services account?
  20. Which are you having difficulty with, the MobiLinc app or the ISY portal?
  21. The state of the device after power is restored depends on the device itself, not the ISY, Some devices return to their previous state, some remain off and yet others turn on (even if they were initially off). What the ISY does keep track of is schedules, not devices.
  22. Right click on the device. Select Restore Device, then Write Updates to Device.
  23. A scene will respond to off or fast off, but a button or paddle can control only one scene. If you want to a button or paddle that's already a controller for a scene, then you'll need to use a program. The quickest response will occur if the program controls a scene rather than two devices. Create a scene where the trigger is a button or paddle fast off (If) and Then turns off the scene that has only the light and motor as responders.
  24. The I/O Linc is power line only. Try adding it from the same circuit as the PLM.
  25. Virtually all programmable thermostats revert to the scheduled set points at the scheduled time if the set point has been changed.
