With the option set to "On commands only" the sensor will send an On each time motion is sensed. It will never send an off. That why Control is used in a program. Status won't work because the status never changes. Off is controlled by the program, not the sensor. Edit: Add a Wait to the program.

David, Set the FanLinc (device, not scene) to high. Pull the chain one time. What's the result? oberkc, My one-button fan speed cycle still requires a scene for each speed (and off). One can use four button w/o the programs or one button with the program.

Post your program (right click, select copy to clipboard).

I have no difficulties using Insteon thermostats independently controlling several zones including now using several Echos. Absolutely no difficulties including having the thermostats control fans in each zone, turning off the AC (or heat) if a door (slider) is left open for a short period. I also have a Honeywell WiFi thermostat that does not allow turning the HVAC on or off, only setting the current set point. I can manipulate the Insteon thermostats, turn them on or off, change the set point and even change the mode.

Select the motor part of the Fanlinc, not the scene. Move the slider to high, as below: What is the result?

Yes, use a program instead of a scene to turn on the light.

How do you currently control the speed of the fan?

If you don't mind a one or two delay to turn on the light when the sensor senses motion, then create a program that turns the light on to 33% and off after a specified duration. Set the MS to send an On only. Then write a second program that disables the first program when the dimmer is turned on manually and enables the first program when the dimmer is manually turned off.

On older leak sensors, you need to tap the set button to reset from a wet condition.

Create four programs, two for heat and two for cool. If Control 'Thermostat Cool Ctl' is switched On Then Send Notification to 'whoever' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Repeat for Cool Off, Heat On and Heat Off.
-
Factory reset: 1. Using a small flat blade screwdriver, carefully open the bottom case of Leak Sensor 2. Pull out the battery 3. Wait 5 seconds 4. Push in Set button and hold it. Do not let go 5. Reinstall the battery while holding down the Set button LED will turn on solid Green for a few seconds LED will then turn off 6. Release Set button To place the sensor into linking mode, don't hold the set button for more than about 3 seconds.

You don't seem to be doing anything wrong. Try a factory reset.

That's work if the spoken was, "fan on high," instead of "fan high."

I have a Duracell Contractor Pack Lithium battery in an Insteon motion sensor that senses several motions every night (only). The sensor is linked an Insteon KPL that controls the light in small hall that leads to a bathroom. The sensor is set to On-only. A program turns off the scene. It's been there since early 2015!!! Sensing is checked. LED is set to 10. Sensitivity is set to 5.

If the spoken is "fan hi," or "fan high," then "fan on high" won't work. A command can occur before or after a spoken, but not in between. BTW, I agree with your wife, it's awkward to say, "fan high on", but it works.
-
I use four scenes (high, medium, low & off). The spokens are "fan high,"fan medium," "fan low," and "fan," respectively. A typical command is, "Alexa, turn the fan medium on." Note that off does not use and adjective.

One button to toggle through fan speeds: CR Fan High If Control 'CR / Devices / CR KPL LR Light / CR KPLH CR Fan' is switched On And Status 'CR / Devices / CR FanLinc-Light 80 / CR FanLinc-Motor' is Off Then Set Scene 'CR / Scenes / CR Fan-High' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') CR Fan Medium If Control 'CR / Devices / CR KPL LR Light / CR KPLH CR Fan' is switched On And Status 'CR / Devices / CR FanLinc-Light 80 / CR FanLinc-Motor' is High Then Set Scene 'CR / Scenes / CR Fan-Medium' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') CR Fan Low If Control 'CR / Devices / CR KPL LR Light / CR KPLH CR Fan' is switched On And Status 'CR / Devices / CR FanLinc-Light 80 / CR FanLinc-Motor' is Med Then Set Scene 'CR / Scenes / CR Fan-Low' On Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') CR Fan Off If Control 'CR / Devices / CR KPL LR Light / CR KPLH CR Fan' is switched On And Status 'CR / Devices / CR FanLinc-Light 80 / CR FanLinc-Motor' is Low Then Set Scene 'CR / Scenes / CR Fan-Off' Off Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') The 'CR / Devices / CR KPL LR Light / CR KPLH CR Fan' button is set to non-toggle On.

You need to log into your main account and create a sub-account. Here's the instructions: Instructions for using Multiple Echos Smart Home

Have patience. There was once a 6 month wait that got changed to 4 months. The Dot is considerable less costly than the full size Echo (except when Amazon is out of stock). The small factor is what sold me. I don't need nor even want it for enjoying music. I want it only for the pure fun of voice control, my wife likes it for weather. We have better means for sound enjoyment. Even the full size Echo is lacking for us.

Just because one device links doesn't mean others will. Insteon updates/revises their devices on an ongoing basis. Even if it's the same device, a newer revision may not work with the older ISY. Many current devices won't, so if you need to add or even replace a device, you may not succeed. Time to upgrade (at the upgrade price)

Two Echos in two different homes with two different ISY
stusviews replied to gduprey's topic in Amazon Echo
Delete all portal accounts.Go to Settings. Deregister each Echo. Quit and restart the Alexa app. Register the Echo that you want to be the main Echo. Follow the instructions to create an ISY portal account (do you need that?). After that's working, create a second Amazon account. (if you haven't already done so). Log into the portal to create a sub-account within the Main account. Register the second Echo to the second account. You can have as any Echos as you want. But you are limited to five accounts including the Main account. -
Do you want each Echo to control the same device/scenes/programs or do you want them to be independent (with or without overlapping control doesn't matter if you want independent Echoes).
-
There are three things that you can do that involve "running a program." You can run the If section, the Then or the Else. The latter two are easy. Tell Alexa to turn on the program_name to run Then and turn off the program_name to run Else. To run the program condition(s), ask Alexa to tell Izzy to run the program_name.

Looks fine.
