  1. Until your post I did not know about the 'repeat after me', but what is the purpose ? I DO agree with you on having the callable feature on Broadcast or Repeat after me.....
  2. fahrer16, do you use Android or IOS ? I am trying to understand what Allonis would do for me, using Windows, MAC and IOS at what is indeed pretty pricey.
  3. FYI I installed my automatic curtains two weeks ago using the Mimo-lite rather than the Mimo2. They work fine including status reporting.
  4. This touches on my request / suggestion for the Mimo-lites that control my curtains. Instead of ON or OFF, I would like to see OPEN or CLOSED in the AC. As I have noted elsewhere in the ISY forum, it is not a big issue as I was able to create a shortcut in Google Home, allowing me to use Open and Close.
  5. Without the ability to control ZWave lights, fans, curtains, etc, I see no reason to switch from Mobilinc. I was able to download the App on my Iphone but no devices show up (logically as I have no Insteon devices, nor the other mentioned above).
  6. Is that possible ?
  7. i get it... Rice is your cooker's first name.
  8. We cook our rice in an ordinary pan.
  9. I seem to have found a way.... It consists of 2 programs (1) IF Motion detector is switched On AND Laundry light is OFF Then set Laundry Light ON RUN Program X (Then Path) (2) Program X {Nothing in IF} THEN wait 2 minutes set laundry light off If the laundry light was already On, then the motion will have no impact on the laundry light.
  10. I proclaimed victory too quickly..... The program gets the laundry light to switch on upon motion detection but it does not switch off at all. I have tried different times, from 15 seconds to 5 minutes (to exceed the time the motion detector remains on), but I just do not get the light to go off after a set time.
  11. That makes sense, but consider getting Zwave when you need to add or replace devices.
  12. Something, somehow, may be possible through using the shortcut option in the Google App.
  13. H Have you thought about switching to Zwave ?
  14. I think that it now works. Silly me forgot to enable the program
  15. Stu, I am not sure that I want a Trojan Horse in on our bet
  16. The bet is that before July 2018 there will be a ZWave equivalent for Fanlinc...... and lunch on me when you are in Miami
  17. I understand Stu. As I said earlier, part of our comments is based on personal experience, needs and preferences. In French they 'les gouts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas' (One should not discuss taste and colors). In other words, there is no right answer to personal preferences. I see the multitude of suppliers in Zwave more as a positive, and you see it more as a negative (because of the different features and settings). I agree that Zwave does not yet have an equivalent to Insteon for fan control, but I bet you that this will come soon.
  18. What about creating a scene and name it for example 'master bedroom', and then set, if necessary, a shortcut in GH with names like master bedroom ON and master bedroom off ?
  19. Unfortunately it does not work.....
  20. Larry Does this (see attachments) make sense ?
  21. Stu, A monopoly is not necessarily a legal condition. Maybe other companies could use the Insteon patent and sell competing products, but because there is no other seller of Insteon products, for us consumers this is a monopoly.
  22. Ok Stu, Excuse my ignorance... I have created that folder and added the laundry room motion detector to IF. But where and how should I program that the laundry light does not switch OFF if the detector detects motion ? Should I not use IF for the ceiling light, with the condition IF ceiling light is ON.... and then create a program that ignores the motion detector ? As you can see I am pretty confused
  23. I know, and totally respect, that many on this forum are Insteon fans. I also started with X-10 & Insteon and may have chosen another hub than ISY were it not for my initial set-up. Our respective preference for Insteon or Zwave (or combination) depends very much on our personal needs and experiences. I have gone Zwave all the way and don't look back. I just noticed the new Homeseer switches, just got my automatic curtains working on Zwave, and I don't miss Insteon. But as I said, I fully respect those that still root for Insteon.
  24. Of course Insteon does not have that issue because it is a monopoly.......
