Hi Jason, I am so very sorry to hear. Can you please go to the main page for this KPL and let me know the firmware version (usually after v.). With kind regards, Michel

Hello LeeG, Thanks so very much for all your help and support. If one thinks HL does a good job of abstracting, then one would really have a hard time with ISY abstractions since - at least in the case of scenes - ISY pretty much abstracts scenes to the point that one would not have to go through tabular relationship between devices. As far as LED brightness - and thanks to LeeG - the missing piece is adding a command to turn LEDs completely ON and completely OFF. I have added this to the list of our requirements with low priority. With kind regards, Michel

Finally ready to upgrade from ISY26 to ISY994i/IR Pro
Michel Kohanim replied to yardman 49's topic in ISY994
Hi Frank, You should be OK and all your programs should come in the backup. Just in case, you can right mouse click on My Programs and export it. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Rich, Thanks so very much. Would you be kind enough to keep us posted? With kind regards, Michel

Hi EricK, thanks so very much. shannong is looking for global brightness. shannong, I am not entirely certain what is your source of information/assertions. From my experience, what you say has never been the case: there are two levels both of which are interrelated; i.e. on level will impact off level and the reverse. If your source is HL, it would be great to see what HL is sending to the KPLs (docklight). The only exception is 2484SWH8 which has a global brightness regardless of on level and off level (very much like SwitchLincs). Again, if you have the traffic from HL, would love to see it. Have you tested the levels outside of programs? Each device has an LED brightness button on the main page that allows you to test the combinations. With kind regards, Michel

There is no selection for automatic writes to document 4.1.0

shannong, Thank you for the feedback. We are looking into it and hopefully we'll have a fix very shortly. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Steigs, Then I am not at all certain why you would have pending writes as no configuration is being changed. Is there any reason you choose Write pending writes? Do you have green 1011 icons (I know you have !). With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Rich, Thanks so very much! May I have your permission to put this in our Wiki? Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Steigs, Do you have any programs that change scene settings for those devices for which you have ! every morning? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Matt, In addition to Email Customization (you can customize the subject), you can use substitution variables in your customization: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... _Variables With kind regards, Michel

Hi Rich, Please send the screenshot to support@universal-devices.com. You want to try: https://your.isy.ip.address/admin . With kind regards, Michel

Hi Tony, You can simply install a self signed certificate. It's quite easy: page 9: http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/I ... 0Guide.pdf No. You can start by a self-signed certificate for the Server. Simply fill out the fields and then click on the Self Signed button (see the link above) You don't need to do any of this. See above. See above. Certificates are for your own security and privacy. You are welcome not to use https to access ISY but note that all the traffic is in clear text and any hacker can simply note when you are home and what you are doing. Simply, create a self-signed certificate. And, if you are still having problems, please submit a ticket (links below) and we'd be happy to help you out. With kind regards, Michel

shannong, Are you talking about global brightness level or individual backlight for each button? Global brightness level is not a science and my hats off to HouseLinc engineers. All we have is: 0-7 off level and 0-15 on level per documentation. If you are trying to turn on/off an individual scene button, it has to be part of a scene as a responder. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Harold, Please send the following screenshots to support@universal-devices.com: 1. Top section of Admin Console 2. Help | About With kind regards, Michel -
Hi rjbur, You cannot disable a firewall (all filters remain in effect). What you need to do instead is to include ISY's IP address in the trusted zone/exclusion list. Alternatively, try using https to communicate with ISY instead of http. With kind regards, Michel

Hi EricK, I think there a couple of issues here: a) you cannot delete a scene and you cannot rename. First of all, please do make sure you get status updates for all your devices. i.e. go to Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer, change the level to 3, turn on/off any of your devices and see whether or not you see any traffic. If not, then I suspect: either firewall software on your computer blocking ISY from publishing events to the Admin Console or Java cache issue. I would definitely start with Java cache: 1. Clear your Java cache: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml 2. Go to http://isy.universal-devices.com/994i/4.1.1/admin.jnlp In case of firewall, either use https to communicate with ISY (instead of http) or configure your firewall to exclude ISY and include it in the trusted zone list. And, finally: 1. To remove a node: a) it can NOT be inside a folder right mouse click | Delete 2. To rename a node: right mouse click | Rename With kind regards, Michel

Finally ready to upgrade from ISY26 to ISY994i/IR Pro
Michel Kohanim replied to yardman 49's topic in ISY994
Hi LeeG, thank you and you are correct but it depends on the firmware on 26. We have done all we could to have migration routines for upward compatibility but, again, it depends on the firmware. Hi Frank, welcome back. Here are the instructions for migration: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_ISY-994i Please try it and keep us posted. With kind regards, Michel -

shannong, We are looking into it. The same two items are available as buttons in your toolbar. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi EricK, You can right mouse click on your KPL and Group your buttons. As far as communication issues: 1. Plug the PLM into the same outlet as your HL's PLM 2. Make sure you remove HL PLM ... we have had couple of reports that it does cause interference With kind regards, Michel

Hi ldrinc, Then you should be able to subscribe to ISY as long as you keep either a socket open or a URL to which ISY can publish its events. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi ldrinc, What kind of program are you specifically referring to? You can always use our Web Services APIs to subscribe to ISY: http://www.universal-devices.com/isy-developers . With kind regards, Michel

Hi davbow, The error indicates that there are no network resources configured yet. Once you create a few, you'll get a list. With kind regards, Michel

Hi shannong, Thank you. I am scratching my head as I cannot fathom a reason why its existence on powerline should cause problems. With kind regards, Michel

Hi shannong, Thanks so very much for the update. This is quite strange indeed. Is the HL PLM dual band as well? With kind regards, Michel
