  1. Hello FLBoy, In Add Insteon Device dialog, are you explicitly choosing the Motion Sensor? If not, that's precisely what happens since first, ISY tries to read the database and then tries to do an IDReq which fails (MS does not return its identity!). Also, please make sure your MS is in programming mode. For the ones that I just received, the process is: press and hold the set button for 5 seconds. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello to_lighter, This process should take less than 2 seconds. First of all, please do NOT forward port 80 to your ISY since all traffic to your ISY can be sniffed and repeated by a hacker. Only forward port 443. As far as your SSL certificate, I suspect two things: 1. You HAVE TO be local to your ISY to install the certificate (you are not allowed to do it remotely for security reasons) 2. Perhaps you did not accept the Java certificate for The Legions of Bounty Castle. As such, please: a. Close all your browser windows b. Control Panel -> Java -> Security -> Certificates c. Remove all your certificates Retry and let me know. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Joe, Unfortunately not at the moment but I am sure as we add more modules, one will surely implement one. With kind regards, Michel
  4. az1324, As per your instructions, the following code was implemented in April of this year. I am not sure why it does not work: p+="meta name=viewport content=width=320; initial-scale=1.0"; //for safari/iphone p+="meta name=format-detection content=telephone=no"; // For safari/iphone prevent showing times as phone #'s Would you be kind enough to verify that you are NOT actually getting these tags in your iPhone (is there such a thing as view source?). With kind regards, Michel Thanks, it works. Is there a way to adjust the zoom. It zooms to much now. A simple viewport tag would fix the zooming issue and has been suggested for months.
  5. Hello FLBoy, Apologies for the inconvenience. Is the Motion Detector the only device that your Admin Console does not recognize. Please also note that SH decided to change the category/subcategory of the motion detectors between the Beta and Production releases. Is this motion sensor one you just received or is it from the old Beta days? With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello to_lighter, Thanks so very much for the topology. I can now imagine what could be causing the problem: two switches. In the next release, there's an option in the shell which makes ISY less sensitive to UnAcked packets. I think what's happening is that some of the packets are not Acked as ISY expects them to be and thus the client/session is dropped. With kind regards, Michel Thanks Michel, As mentioned above, I have a bunch of Macs with Apple's Airport wireless basestations providing wireless coverage, connected together on an ethernet backbone. I don't know what Network Magic is. I don't have any special software running to facilitate networking. My network is complicated, but a simplified version for this discussion is as follows: {Laptop} --WiFi n--> {Time Capsule Wireless Router} --ethernet--> {gigabit switch} --ethernet--> {gigabit switch} --ethernet--> ISY 99i For the desktop the diagram is similar, except there is no wireless component, the desktop is plugged into the first gigabit switch. Cheers! P.S. I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your quick responses. I've never seen tech support like this in many years of technogeekery. Well done!
  7. Hello to_lighter, Thanks for the update but this is quite unusual. Would you happen to have Network Magic installed anywhere in your network? Recently, we have been getting a tremendous amount of issues relating to Network Magic (http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... highlight= ). With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello Paul, If you want to integrate with ELK, please make sure: 1. you have version 5.1.4 of ELK (5.1.8 has a bug) 2. the future flag is set for all the imported devices With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello copperstar, Thanks so very much for the update. That's precisely what we are encountering here: it works once in a while. We still haven't been able to figure out the secret code which makes ISY configure EZxx correctly all the time. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello PaulMVincent, Two questions: 1. Do you have an ELK installed/integrated with ISY? 2. Are these KPLs version 1.5 or 1.6? With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello to_lighter, I do apologize for the inconvenience. If possible, please send us your ISY's URL (supprt@universal-devices.com) and we'll try to diagnose remotely. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello Michael, I think the problem is your PLM: ISY cannot reliably communicate with your devices. Have you contacted our tech support for help? If not, I do recommend a short call with Darrell. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hello copperstar, My pleasure. We are currently testing IOLinc and it seems to be reliable. There will also be TriggerLinc in January. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello Steve, If you can give us remote access to your ISY, perhaps we can try and debug remotely. If you would like, send your URL to support@universal-devices.com. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello jdva, This is excellent information and you are 100% correct: if we can make it even a little more iPhone friendly, then it would be great. One request: would it be possible for you to send us a static page (with devices and scenes) and with the parameters you used to get the desired effects? Then, all we have to do is to check for the user agent and present the same structure. I would sincerely appreciate it. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello Michaelv, If you have IRLinc, then it would be much easier to use IRLinc as each button acts just like a button on any regular switch. For instructions/tutorial on setting up IR with ISY, please peruse the links under documentation here: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... es_INSTEON With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello copperstar, Apologies for not maintaining this post up to date. We have not had any success in getting any of the EZIO devices to work reliably and consistently with ISY. We are going to spend another week (and through trial and error) to figure out if we can find a process that works with the majority of EZIO devices (if not all). With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello Michael, Do/Did you have anything devices in your scene? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hello Mr. Sullivan, I do apologize for the inconvenience. If you are not seeing any 5xxxx, then I suspect you do not have your gmail account set for POP/SMTP access. Please login to your gmail account, click on Settings, and then click on POP/SMTP. Make sure POP is enabled. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello Michael, For each learned code, there should be one node on your Admin console. Once all the codes are learned, you can simply drag and drop them into scenes as controllers; just like a KeypadLinc button. If you are not familiar with Scenes, perhaps this article will of some value: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... h_tutorial With kind regards, Michel
  21. JT, Hello and I am so very sorry to hear and I do take the blame for not having that information more readily available. Unfortunately, the only thing you can use is a USB to serial (not the other way around) converter which is not yet in the market. With kind regards, Michel
  22. upstatemike, Is the link count on the PLM 587 or 1383? This is getting to be too mysterious! 1. You have the correct links in both the SWL and the PLM 2. It cannot be noise/distance related as they are plugged right into your PLM 3. The number of links in your PLM is 587 So, this leads me to believe that the SWL is not sending the status to the PLM. Would you be kind enough to go to Tools->Diagnostics->Event Viewer, change level to 2, and click on your SWL. Please let me know if you see any traffic whatsoever. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Ok the link count is 567 (1383?) PLM address is 09.37.DC The switch has a link E2 01 09.37.DC 00 00 01 The switch address is 09.FA.C7 The PLM has a link A2 01 09.FA.C7 02 0A 2C
  23. Hi to_lighter, You are right! Please go to program summary, click on that program, and have it Run If. This will jump start the program. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Eric, Thanks so very much. This information is quite invaluable in trying to find compatibility issues. Also, I wanted to let everyone know that the most difficult part of implementing i2 is now under control. We shall survive! With kind regards, Michel
  25. Michel Kohanim replied to me23's topic in ISY994
me23, Thanks so very much for the update. In case of mobile phones, there's also another variable which is the Webserver timeout (CWT in the shell). You might want to increase it if you still experience connectivity issues with your LG Dare. With kind regards, Michel
