Hello accessha, You need 5volt, 300mA (or above), center positive. We are currently out of stock but this is a fairly generic AC adapter that you can find in Radio Shack or Digikey. With kind regards, Michel Michel, what size/type power supply do you recommend? I would like to do this as well.

Bob, My pleasure! Thanks for your patience ... I am a little worried since .prp should have nothing to do with upgrading (different file locations/directories). I am going to see if there's a bug and, if you don't mind, please keep an eye on this situation and let me know if there are any anomalies. For instance, please let me know if you are able to successfully save your programs. With kind regards, Michel

Hello Bob, Before trying the Virtual Server option, please try File->Enable Internet Access. If this works, then you do not have to do anything manually. If not, then YES, please use Virtual Server option as follows: 1. Find out what's your ISY's port number (My URL). If there are not ports, then use port 443 2. Create a Virtual Server for port 443 which points to your ISY's IP address Please let me know. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel Hi Michel, Don't worry abou the tardy reply, as I can only check here periodically. Could you tell me how to determine my URL? I can determine my external HTTP address, but how would you get past my firewall? My router will allow me to do the following: "The Virtual Server option allows you to define a single public port on your router for redirection to an internal LAN IP Address and Private LAN port if required. This feature is useful for hosting online services such as FTP or Web Servers." Is this what I would use? Thanks, Bob

Hi keribi, Are you using TLS? Also, are you using your email address as the User ID? With kind regards, Michel

Hello Bob, Would you be kind enough to enable Internet access and send me your URL? I can try and upgrade/backup remotely and see where the problem is. We have also had issues with some switches (Linksys especially); do you have a switch between your ISY and your router? If so, please try connecting ISY directly to your router and let me know if the problem is resolved. As far as the backup problem, please 1. Telnet to your ISY ( http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... o_Your_ISY ) 2. Login using your credentials 3. Issue RF /CONF/30.PRP (this is a properties file which was not saved correctly) With kind regards, Michel

Hi Jim, Unfortunately, the only way to do it is: a. To remove the device from ISY b. Factory reset the device (physically) With kind regards, Michel

Hello doowadiddy2003, Apologies for a tardy reply. Usually there are two causes for this: 1. a faulty PLM 2. a faulty Cat5 cable Would you be kind enough to swap the cat5 cable that goes from ISY to the PLM and see if that solves the problem? If not, then - and unfortunately so - you will need to request for a replacement PLM. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Bob, Sincere apologies for the inconvenience. If you have a firewall software, then in all likelihood that's why you are experiencing these issues. Please take a look at http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewforum.php?f=3 where you will find resolutions to most firewall issues. Please let me know how this works out. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel

Hi Rob, Apologies for the inconvenience. We have been asked about the watchdog timer many times and we will surely incorporate it in a future release. The main problem is that in our Beta releases, we would like to find the reasons for lockups and thus a watchdog timer simply covers up the root causes. Also, you can surely purchase a separate power supply and plug it in to ISY; this way ISY switches to the power supply if the PLM is removed. Now, back to the issue at hand: What do you mean by not running? Does this mean that you could not even access the system by browser or is that only the timers/schedules do not work? With kind regards, Michel

Hello accessha, Have you tried clearing your Java cache? All your browser windows should be closed for this to work. What OS and browser are you using? With kind regards, Michel -

HI accessha and apologies for a tardy reply. I was referring to port 80 but you don't have Internet Access enabled and thus a moot point. Please reboot your ISY and let me know if you are still receiving these errors. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel -

Michel Kohanim replied to MikeB's topic in ISY994
Hi Rand, Ok, this is done! The main issues are: 1. It's very difficult to test these messages 2. I2 testing is going to take a little longer to make sure everything is OK Thanks again so very much, With kind regards, Michel -
Hello jamesx0, Apologies for a tardy reply. Please do not use the default since, in all likelihood, we have already gone beyond our limit for this month. You might want to try a gmail account as follows: server - smtp.gmail.com port - 587 userid - your gmail address password - ... Use TLS - checked With kind regards, Michel

Hi Dodger, Yes, this is correct. What do you mean by "looses connection"? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Philip, I do apologize for the inconvenience. Usually, the problem is that the PLM is not making good contact with the cable (RJ45). Sometimes, swapping the RJ45 cables fixes this issue. But, the best solution is to request for a new PLM. With kind regards, Michel

accessha, This usually happens if you have another device port forwarded to the same port as ISY. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi eddyk, I think the original problem was due to the fact that you had signal issues and thus Restore Device actually restored those links that were not written correctly due to Signal issues. With kind regards, Michel

edfinely, Thanks so very much! There is a bug with the Test function (it always returns request failed). But, this should always work with gmail. What worries me is the issue where your settings are not saved. Would it be possible at all to change your password and send me the account information? This way, I will check to see if there's a bug (possibly with length of the uid/account) and will immediately report back to you. With kind regards, Michel -
Hello Philip, Apologies for lack of documentation and inaccuracies: 1. Telnet is enabled by default (not disabled) 2. Default ISY port numbers (from factory) are 80 (for HTTP) and 443 (for HTTPS) What you would want to do is to forward to port 443 unless you have another device which uses the same port. If so, use CWP (through telnet) to change your HTTPS port to something other than 443. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Rand, By plan, do you mean that it will be implemented, it's already implemented, or it's on the wish list? With kind regards, Michel -
Hello eddyk, Is this a problem with all your KPLs or just a few of them? Can you try doing a Restore Device on one and let me know if anything changes? With kind regards, Michel

ISY99 responding to wireless X10 signals via Elk / W800
Michel Kohanim replied to madcodger's topic in ISY994
Hi Joe, Thanks so very much. The easiest fix/stopgap would be to give the user the ability to ignore A1 ... then, when we have more time (and with the help of ELK), we'll decide what would be the best possible solution and where it should reside. Thanks for all your input and finding this issue, With kind regards, Michel -
Hi keribi, Apologies for a tardy reply. There's actually a bug with the "Test" function in that it always returns "Request Failed". Did you actually receive an email? With kind regards, Michel

Hello AnthemAVM, Have you setup ISY using File->Enable Internet Access or have you done it manually? With kind regards, Michel
