  1. I got it too. Did not click on it though.

I get the extraneous sheet too. I just assumed it's one of those "that's just the way it is" things.
  3. I agree with everything you brought up, but especially these 2. I've followed and grown with ISY over the years with small leaps, so most of this DOES make sense to me, but I feel sorry for anyone trying to come into this ecosystem cold. On the other hand ... I don't believe this is out of the ordinary for any system of such vast capabilities. I'm thinking of Home Assistant and OpenHAB, both of which I find to be very complex and difficult to make out. Much more difficult than the ISY ecosystem. I have made some progress with Home Assistant, but I have given up (more than once) trying to get going with OpenHAB. And, as pointed out, at this point, Polyglot is free. So we really should be (and are) eternally grateful for what we've been given.
  4. Ain't that the truth.

I'm seeing the same issue with SonosController. There is a higher version available, but I can't get it to update by stop/start.
  6. Sounds about right.
  7. Mine shows it has bounced back and forth between Encino/Santa Clarita and Sacramento five times now. Of course, it's entirely possible it never left Encino/Santa Clarita at all. After 3 weeks, it now shows that it is in my town and to arrive tomorrow by 8 pm. We'll see. Fingers crossed.
  8. Very true. And interesting timing for me. I was just this morning doing some snooping around Home Assistant to try and figure out where the money comes from. I didn't find anything, but I didn't try very hard either. Hard to believe it's all volunteer over there, but I've been wrong many many times before.
  9. Mine is taking in the sites in Encino, CA today. That's a new one.
  10. Mine has been bouncing back and forth between Sacramento and Santa Clarita for 2 weeks now. ?

    Fixed here too.

    Chrome. First noticed it yesterday.

    Ditto. ?
  14. Thanks @simplextech That did the trick. I also coerced Chrome/Google to save my login info. As far as I can tell, this is working for me now.
  15. Thanks @paulbates for dumbing it down for me, but still no joy. I went through the arduous task of typing in my 64 key and used the exact syntax you laid out, but I just get ""/USER/WEB/INDEX.HTM not found" Your second suggestion is basically what I had already been doing, and it works, except I have to enter my username and password. Every. Single. Time.
  16. @paulbates I've been trying to make this work, but I just can't get it. If I copy "URL to ISY" from the Portal and paste into Chrome, I get "not found". If I copy "Admin Console URL" and paste into Chrome, I get "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below." If I use the URL template you gave me, I get "/USER/WEB/index.htm not found". What do you mean by "and then adding the path in the ISY" ? Does this have anything to do with the ISY setting "Enable Internet Access'? I followed the instruction found here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_Admin_Console and it works on my laptop, but it's not what I'm wanting to do... or is it?
  17. I'm still at 5.0.14, but I doubt that's the problem. But then again, I have no idea. On Polyglot I have Ecobee, HarmonyHub, HueEmulator, and Sonos. On Polyglot Cloud I have SonosController.
  18. I'm usually on the latest and greatest version of HA. I was on 0.103.2 a few minutes ago and all worked as expected. I just updated to 0.103.4 and all is still working as expected. Never had a problem with any previous version either. I have HA and Polyglot running on separate VMs on the same Windows machine.
  19. Hmm. I'm not sure what to make of this. I DO have several nodeservers on my ISY, but I have no issues with running HA.
  20. I don't mind at all! I find the discussion very interesting. I actually do use HA, mostly just to play around with it. I have it running on a virtual machine on a spare Windows 10 computer. I like it for it's quick access to everything when I'm using my laptop. I really just use it as an interface to the ISY and other systems. I don't run any actual automations on HA. As to using HA on my phone for access when away from home, it's my understanding it requires port forwarding and DuckDNS and who knows what else to configure. I'm just not in enough need to go that route if I can get what I need from ISY portal already.
  21. I'm just going to my.isy.io using Chrome on my Android phone. I've read the wiki and I don't see anything about a "your key" or how to do this in general. I know it's second nature to many how all of this works, but until you know, you don't know, and I'm still at the don't know stage. Where is this documented?
  22. Thanks all. I'm still wondering if I'm doing something wrong in logging into ISY Portal and/or HAD on my Android phone. I have to supply username and password every single time I go to my.isy.io in the Chrome browser. And as I mentioned, the login screen doesn't give me enough time. It blanks out what I've already typed after a few seconds. I have to be extremely quick to type an email in password in the time allowed.
  23. No, this is not the case. It won't be any faster. The linking will be the same regardless of doing it direct or with the ISY. The ISY makes it easier to do the linking, and the links will be exactly the same between the two devices, so it won't be any faster, it will still be instantaneous. ? Plus, as already mentioned, if you use the ISY to do the linking, then the ISY will know the status of the switches.
  24. I'm sorry, but I find this all very confusing. The ISY Launcher allows me to log into "Dashboard", which also seems to be called "ISY Dashboard". The ISY Portal login allow me to log into "Go to my ISY", which takes me to "Home Automation Dashboard" or "My Lighting" udajax, depending on a setting. In the ISY Portal there is a dropdown that lets me select "ISY Web Access" And then there are Agave and various (as I understand it) versions of Mobilinc. I find this all very confusing. So I almost never need to do anything when I'm away from home, but a few times a year I might. Like to turn on a light for the dog or something like that. I don't need anything fancy like Agave or Mobilinc. Great products I'm sure, but way overkill for my needs. The Home Automation Dashboard (HAD) option that is available through the ISY Portal seems to fit the bill, but I just read the other day in the forum that it is no longer maintained. Not sure why HAD is still available on the ISY Portal if it is dead, but that's irrelevant I guess. The other problem I have with HAD is that I seem to have to log in eeeevery-siiiiingle-tiiiiime from my android phone. And what is even worse, there seems to be a very short time limit to log in and I can never type the username (email) and password fast enough before it blanks it all out. Can anybody clarify any of this for me? Am I doing something wrong? I just want a button on my phone that opens an app that lets me turn a device on or off once in awhile.
  25. I've been eyeing Brilliant for awhile now, but haven't pulled the trigger. So I don't speak from actual experience. Yes, I believe there will be no issue with controlling your Ecobee from any and all systems that it is compatible. I can control mine from my Harmony Remote, ISY (nodeserver), Home Assistant, as well as phone app and the actual thermostat. All stay in sync and I would assume Brilliant would mesh with everything just fine too. The same should apply to Sonos too. It is possible to have ISY communicate both ways with a SmartThings hub, and thus, presumably, with Brilliant. Possible. Not necessarily easily, but it is possible. I used to have this set up, but I found a different/better way to do what I needed. It involved using ISY network resources, ISY portal, and IFTTT. Not ideal, but it did work. I always suspected there would be a way to eliminate the IFTTT portion from my setup, but I was never able to figure it out with my limited knowledge of SmartThings programming. If and when I go with Brilliant I will figure out some way to do this. Even if I have to dig out my old SmartThings hub again. You mentioned Alexa, but I can't help you there. I know nothing about Alexa.
