  1. @tas99 Have you added any new electronics or electrical devices in the last few weeks? Being that the problem recently cropped up and is intermittent, there's a good possibility that you have noise on your powerline. How many dual band insteon devices do you have in your system, and about how old are they? Are both legs of your powerline bridged using dual band devices? On rare occasions, a defective insteon device can create noise on the powerline.
  2. If the problem is only happening with one specific device, then factory reset the device and then do a restore device. If the problem is with numerous devices then the PLM is having difficulty communicating with the devices. Take a look at the link below for troubleshooting. INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  3. The green arrow means that there are pending writes to that device. Right click on the device, then click on write updates.
  4. You could do it with a program IF Motion sensor is switched on THEN Turn on light Wait xx minutes Turn off light ELSE
  5. What was your previous firmware version? Have you tried accessing the ISY via the admin console? Important User/Password changes for 5.3.4: If your current version is 5.0.7 or earlier, then after installing 5.0.8 or later your userid and password will be reset back to the system default. The system default is admin / admin
  6. Not really, as both dongles use external antennas. The only advantage of using the Zmatter USB version is that the Zmatter board can be located away from the Polisy. This would be helpful if the Polisy was located in a metal cabinet or other location that interferes with the RF signal.

  8. @trevorst It's possible that the Zwave 800 series devices require a tweak in the UD firmware. It's probably best to submit a ticket.
  9. So, is Ford also missing the boat by not continuing to produce the Model A?
  10. Firmware 5.7.0 is required to support Zwave certification. No hardware modifications or updates are needed.
  11. If you installed the switch using S2 authentication, you might try reinstalling it with S0.
  12. @philgood You might try removing power from the Polisy to see if that restores your Zwave devices. Zwave has to be backed up manually, there's a backup option under the Zwave menu. In your situation, being that you don't have a Zwave backup, you will have to rebuild your Zwave network from scratch once you remove the internal Zwave card and install the external Zmatter dongle. Your Zwave devices will need to be excluded and then included in the external Zmatter dongle. Moving forward, both Insteon and Zwave should be backed up anytime you add, remove, or make changes to devices or programs. Note: The UD Store now has the external Zmatter enclosures back in stock. All you would have to do is remove your internal Zmatter card from the Polisy and insert it into the external USB enclosure ZMatter USB Enclosure Only - Universal Devices (universal-devices.com)
  13. What is the firmware and UI version of your Polisy What are you using for a Zwave controller? Do you have a recent, and current, Zwave backup?
  14. @gschoffstall Here are your options from the UDI Wiki: ISY Not Found If ISY Launcher cannot find your ISY: Most importantly, you need to reinstall the ISY Launcher VPN software is running on your computer or you're on a VPN network Unit is not on the same network as your compute. Perhaps you changed routers? If so: follow these instructions If not #1, please open your router page and see whether or not you see ISY994-EMS (for ISY) or polisy (for Polisy) in the list of LAN clients. If you find the IP address, then, in ISY Finder, click on the Add button and enter ISY994: http://1.2.3.4/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of ISY in the router) Polisy: https://1.2.3.4:8443/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of Polisy in the router) If not #2, then perhaps the unit is not powering on: ISY994: Please make sure the pattern is as outlined here Polisy: Reboot the unit, all 3 LEDs should get lit and then only the left most is lit. Wait for 30 seconds. You should hear a beep If not #3, the issue is that you might have firewall/VPN software (especially VPN). Please do #2
  15. Did you clear your java cache, checking all 3 boxes, which will delete the launcher application from your desktop, and then download the updated IoX Launcher file from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  16. If your new installation is starting from scratch then you need to factory reset your PLM To reset PowerLinc Modem to its original factory settings, unplug from wall outlet and wait 10 seconds. Press and hold Set button; while continuing to press and hold, plug back in. A long beep will sound; continue holding Set button until beep stops, then release
  17. When you changed the PLM did you follow the PLM replacement procedure (see attached file) When you cleared your java cache did you download the updated IoX Launcher file from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Replace Modem.pdf

    New Migrate to EISY

@jpoje When booting the eisy, the power button will only stay red for a few seconds. What's your firmware version.
  19. @trevorst You should open a support ticket
  20. Did you download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Be sure to clear your java cache, including checking the box "installed applications" before downloading the IoX Launcher Are you sure you didn't change your password, have you always used admin/admin
  21. @glsmith777 The current eisy firmware version is 5.7.0. You should update your firmware and then clear your java cache, including checking the box "installed applications" and then download the current version of the IoX Launcher: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  22. All of my many Insteon keypads having the following options. Backlight and led brightness are one of the same. My eisy firmware is 5.7.0. You can set the led level from either the "led brightness" or the "backlight". I'm not sure why both options are displayed. Once you set the led levels, the "backlight" will revert to 0/0 the next time you open the admin console, however the "led brightness" will correctly display the levels. It's probably a bug that needs to be tweaked in a future firmware release.
  23. Backlight sets the on and off brightness levels of the leds in the KPL The default of 0/0 is not an accurate representation of the actual levels that may be set. The on and off level settings can vary from KPL to KPL depending on their firmware versions. It's one of those situations where you have to play with the level settings to find a setting that works for you.
  24. @barrygordon I have several of the Multisensor 6 linked to the eisy using the Zmatter dongle and they all work as expected. Try doing an exclude then include. It can sometimes take a little longer for the Zwave include process to complete, so have patience. Is your MS6 battery powered or a/c?
  25. @barrygordon Are using the Zmatter dongle with your Eisy. If so, it works well the Multisensor 6. Being that the Zmatter interfaces with the eisy via USB, you can remotely place the Zmatter dongle for best RF coverage.
