Launcher Error Messages and KPL with no Button Back-Lighting
Techman replied to smokegrub's topic in IoX Support
When you download the (new) IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp It will place a Launcher on your desktop -
Verify that your ISY is connected to your router, and that the ethernet cable is properly seated. You don't need a crossover cable, just the standard ethernet cable. Make sure you have the current java version which is (build 1.8.0_381-b09) If you have a reserved address in your router for the ISY try deleting it. Try rebooting your router Try rebooting the ISY

The ISY994 has reached its end of life and is no longer supported by UD.. The good news is that the forum is still supporting the ISY. Clear your java cache, including checking the box" installed applications" then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp What is your ISY firmware version? Let me know if, after the above, you're able to access your ISY

@mmb You need to clear your java cache and then download the IoX Launcher, that will correct the "not found" issue. Apparently, the launcher has been updated You may have used an older version. https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

Primary and secondary Z-Wave controllers
Techman replied to karwas's topic in Z-Wave - Series 300/500
There could be several issues. The 4.9.0 firmware is outdated. For the ISY994 with the 300 series board the latest firmware is 5.0.16C The ISY994 has been discontinued and is no longer supported. It's possible that the 5.0.16C firmware may correct your problem(s). All your Zwave devices will be constrained by the 300 series controller which has a shorter range and slower performance than the 700 series The current hardware is the EISY and the 700 series Zmatter board. 5.0.16C (ISY994) - Last version to support Z-Wave 300 Series - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com) -
@Chris Jahn @Michel Kohanim Please pull this update. It has too many issues.

Upgraded eisy from 5.6.4 to 5.7.0 When I clicked on reboot I got a Java socket error then it rebooted After the reboot the eisy didn't show up in the launcher, and I didn't get the traditional clear your java cache message. I cleared the java cache and 5.7.0 now shows up in the launcher, however when I clicked on the 5.7.0 I got a popup window that said "Not Found" I clicked OK in the box and the admin console loaded. I don't see an option in the Zwave menu for OTA updates. If I close the admin console and then open it again I still get the "not found" window. UPDATE: I just noticed that all my programs have been disabled

Primary and secondary Z-Wave controllers
Techman replied to karwas's topic in Z-Wave - Series 300/500
What is the firmware and UI version on your ISY994 What Zwave board do you have, the 300 or 500 series? Do you currently have Zwave devices installed on the ISY, if so, are they all working? Has the ISY always been your primary Zwave controller? -
@Envirogreen Have you tried clearing your java cache, including checking the box "installed applications", then downloading the IoX Launcher https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

Is the address in the IoX Launcher the same address for the Polisy that's reserved in your router? You can also try deleting the address in the launcher, then recreating it.
-
-
If it didn't migrate you can recreate the "Query All" program. IF Time is 3:00 AM THEN Set ISY Query ELSE
-
It's possible that the device only reports a low battery alert. From zooz support: What voltages should the battery report for 100% and when there is a low battery alert? 3.2V - 3V is a full battery (100%) and the Z-Wave chip manufacturer requires all Z-Wave devices to report low battery at 2.6V.

Better than in the past

Unable to add keypadlink (8 button) device to my isy994i
Techman replied to Florida Joel's topic in ISY994
The error you're getting is usually caused by one of two things, poor communications between the device and the PLM or you entered an incorrect 6 digit address. It's easy to misread 8 and B, D and 0, etc. -
Unable to add keypadlink (8 button) device to my isy994i
Techman replied to Florida Joel's topic in ISY994
When you use the "replace with" function, for an Insteon device it must be like for like, i.e. 6 button with a 6 button. You'll need to install the 8 button as a new device and delete the 6 button from the ISY. Any programs, and scenes that were used by the 6 button KPL will have to be reprogrammed to include the new 8 button KPL. -
Support for the ISY was discontinued as it reached end of life. The last, and most current firmware is 5.3.4. Being that the ISY is discontinued it will not support some of the newer features that were released after it was discontinued. 5.3.4 (ISY994) - Last release for ISY994 - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com) If you want to stay current then you'll have to upgrade to the latest hardware, which is the EISY.

Line powered Zwave devices also act as Zwave repeaters, battery powered devices don't. Zwave is a mesh network, similar to Insteon. Depending on the distance your sensor is located from the eisy you'll mostly need a Zwave repeater. Take a look at the Aeotec range extender 7. Range Extender 7 – Aeotec It sounds like you not putting the sensor into the linking mode. Check your manual for instructions. Most battery-operated devices, when put into the linking/inclusion mode, will stay awake for about 4 minutes.
-
What's your eisy firmware and UI versions? Are you using the Zwave Zmatter dongle? If you bring the sensor close to the eisy and link it do all the nodes show up? It's possible that you may have marginal communications between the sensor and the eisy. How many other a/c powered Zwave devices do you have installed?

Support thread for: PG3x v3.2.3 (August 29th, 2023)
Techman replied to bmercier's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
Did the update packages, then rebooted. Now every time I open the admin console I get a need to reboot window. Removing power from the eisy stopped the reboot notices, but I'm still showing 3.2.3 -
