  1. Probably best to reboot the EISY, Exclude the SS7, then do a factory reset on the SS7 and then a fresh install
  2. I've attached an article on powerline noise. The article was written for X10 but it applies to Insteon as well. Powerline noise.pdf
  3. @JayCee After you clear your java cache click on the link below which will install the IoX Launcher on your desktop. https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  4. It's best to put the EISY, the Hue bridge, and your Router, etc. on a UPS. It's cheap insurance. After a power failure when power is restored their exists the potential of a voltage surge which can wreak havoc on electronics. Re: your "no clue", try rebooting the EISY

Glad you got it resolved. If you want to move it back then you'll most likely have to put the adjacent electronics on powerline filters. Also make sure your outlets are properly wired with good grounds.

Are you able to control your Zwave devices? Click on TOOLS | EVENT VIEWER, set it to level 3. Click on clear, then try to turn on an Insteon device. then post a copy of the event viewer. Your PLM is unable to communicate with your devices. Take a look at this troubleshooting link INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com) If you have a long extension cord try plugging the PLM into a different outlet.
  7. @mfbrin It sounds like your communications between the PLM and the device are marginal. Take a look at the troubleshooting tips. INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

You can also run a diagnostics, set the event viewer to level 3 then do a restore device. Post a screenshot of the results.

Click on FILE | RESTORE DEVICES. This will do a restore on all you devices. If you have any battery operated devices make sure that the "write to battery devices" is turned off
  10. Do a restore device. that should correct the device link table
  11. I think the only limitations you'll face are on the PLM which has a limit of about 1000 links.

Do you have any red exclamation points or green marks to the left of your devices? If you right click on a device, then click on restore device what happens. Are you then able to control that device from the admin console? To do a factory reset on the PLM you need to remove it from power, then press and hold the set button while plugging it in. The PLM will then buzz, continue to hold the set button until the buzzing stops. Then you need to do a restore PLM from the admin console. I'm assuming you have a good and current ISY backup
  13. Mine cut off then I added the _t and now they play all the way through. There was an updated Bluetooth Service in PG3, did you update your service?
  14. Techman replied to raydoc's topic in ISY994
@raydoc Remove power from bothj the PLM and the ISY, Power up the PLM, wait about 15 seconds then power up the ISY Make sure the PLM is plugged in the port A on the ISY
  15. @wrj0, @garybixler The uploaded MP3 file names need a "_t" appened to the end of the file name, i.e. front door open_t.mp3
  16. @Michel Kohanim I uploaded a three word, 3 second, MP3 file to the audio player. The last word doesn't play
  17. I removed power from the PLM. It's strange thast it's not working for you. Maybe a loose or bad cable?
  18. @Michel Kohanim Rebooted the EISY I now see 1.3.3 in rhe store, and I updated to 1.3.3 I updated the bluetooth service. My ANKER speaker shows as paired but I was unable to play any audio. Strangely after sitting idle for abpout five minutes the audio starting working. When I did a package update in the EISY I got numerous "system is being updated" windows and several reboot windows
  19. The Store is showing 1.3.2 I haven't done a package update yet, I'll do it now I saw a update notice in PG3 for the Bluetooth service, I updated it without an issue
  20. No, didn't receive a notice
  21. @Michel Kohanim about 7 minutes ago. The volume control now works, but my custom MP3 won't play. I don't see an option for uploading the MP3 zip file
  22. @Michel Kohanim Whenh I did an update it's showing 1.3.2. I don't see 1.3.3 anywhere.
  23. @Jimbo.Automates I just disconnected my USB PLM, then then plugged it back in and had no problem with the EISY communicating with the PLM. If you're using a serial PLM it's possible that the serial to USB converter lost power. My EISY is also on a UPS
  24. Are you using a serial or a USB PLM?
  25. The data for the Zwave, Zmatter, and Zigbee devices is stored on the Zmatter dongle. The question is if your remove the dongle how will the device tree respond to those devices that are no lonnger accessible. If your zmatter board is mounted in the external enclosure You could unplug it and see what happens. I would assume that the device tree would show those devices with a red exclamation mark. If you mount an already populated zmatter dongle in a different controller the device tree, and associated programs probably won't show the data on the zmatter dongle. I'm not sure if there's a way to do a sync and update. Probably best to open a ticket
