can't exclude or remove z-wave device
Is the motor working correctly? If you only have one motor and it's showing up twice, then try a reboot. If the reboot doesn't correct it then delete the duplicate motor entry.

can't exclude or remove z-wave device
Have you tried removing/exluding the device rather than just the node Did you try rebooting ISY

can't exclude or remove z-wave device
You can also try, under the Zwave menu, remove failed node

can't exclude or remove z-wave device
Did you put the blinds motor into the linking mode before trying to remove it?

can't exclude or remove z-wave device
What's the device you're trying to remove? Is it battery or a/c powered? Have you tried a controller reboot

Updating scene controllers without creating programs
@flemingmike in UD Mobile, at the bottom of the Device tree are the scenes. By turning the scene on or off all the devices in that scene will respond accordingly.

Bringing up eisy in a new system - 2 Z Wave Questions
It's best to do an exclude before a factory reset as this should clear out the link tables in the device. If you did a factory reset on the controller before excluding the device then you shoiuld probably do a factory reset on the device before including it.

Extreme frustration with Eisy
@ekapigian Try clearing your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the Iox Launcher: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp If you're then able connect to the eisy do an update packages, You should be running firmware 5.8.0

Restore Device problem
@nil13 You can use the Insteon noise filter between the powerline and the offending appliance (see attached link). The filters are rated at 10 amps (1200 watts) so it may not work with the space heater Powerline Noise Filter – Insteon

Bringing up eisy in a new system - 2 Z Wave Questions
The only way to reclaim vacant zwave addresses is to do a factory rest on the Zmatter dongle. If both motion sensors were in the linking mode at the same time it could have caused the link tables to get crossed. You need to remove a zwave device before you can include it again. It's probably best to remove your motion sensors and then include them, one at a time. Verify that the one you included is working properly before moving on to the next.

Restore Device problem
Try a factory reset on the devices, then a restore device. If that doesn't work then you might have noise on the powerline. Are the devices dual band? Is your PLM dual band? What controller and firmware are you running?

Automatic/Scheduled reboot?
In the admin console, unter TOOLS, click on system status. That will show the memory usage. I'm not aware of a way to schedule a reboot . Is your UI and firmware up to date?

Updating scene controllers without creating programs
Not sure what you're referring to when you say "if I use an app", what app? The on levels and ramp rates for each device in a scene need to be set in the scene.

Help with "Already Added"
In the admin console, click on the network folder in the device tree. You can sort the address column by clicking on the "address". The name associated with the address will be in the column to the left.
-
Help with "Already Added"
There lies your problem.. You can only use "replace with" when you're replacing like devices. You can't use it to replace a dimmer with an on off switch. It's probably best to delete the device and start over.

Help with "Already Added"
@stupalermo When you add a device it will usually be at either the top or bottom of your device tree. When you say you "swapped" devices, exactly how did you swap them?

Z-Matter - USB2 or USB3
I did, and I know of a few others. It allows you to position the dongle's antennas away from obstructions for better RF coverage. It also eliminates potential strain on the eisy USB port.
-
Z-Matter - USB2 or USB3
@ulrick65 The USB ports on the eisy are 3.0, not sure what the Zmatter dongle is. A USB 2.0 cable should be OK.

Z-Matter - USB2 or USB3
Yes, USB 2.0 has a recommended maximum cable lenght of 15 feet. USB 3.x has a shorter recommended length of about 9 feet

Is this evidence of Insteon device failure?
@DwayneA Next question. Is it possible within the UD Admin Console to replace a module into the same scenes and scripts? I desire to install the replacement IOLinc without rebuilding all associated scenes and programs Yes, use the "Replace Device" option in the right click menu of the device you're replacing. You'll first need to install the new device, but don't rename it. Final question (for today... 🙂). I have two 2443 Access Points (AP) in this house. In both cases they are in close proximity to 2486 Control Keypads and wireless motion detectors. Are the APs really required (the keypads are actually closer to the motion detectors)? How do I tell if they are actually doing anything (they appear to be totally idle - no LED activity at all)? You can try removing the access points, then use the 4 tap test, which also works on most insteon devices, (see attached file). If all the devices work without the access points then you're good to go. 4 Tap test.pdf

Is this evidence of Insteon device failure?
Looks like the Filterlinc is available. For some reason it didn't show up on their product page, but it's on their store page which I overlooked..
-
Is this evidence of Insteon device failure?
@DwayneA You can also try plugging your battery charger, or other offending devices, into a noise filter. Insteon use to have a Filterlinc but I don't currently see it on their product list. X10 has one that will probably work, but it's only rated at 5 amps (600 watts): XPPF Plug In Filter – X10.COM

Is this evidence of Insteon device failure?
The IOLinc is a single band device (no RF) and as @IndyMike mentioned, it is susceptible to powerline interference. If you have a dual band plug-in device, try plugging it into the front of the IOLinc. If that doesn't help then try doing a factory reset / restore device on the IOLinc.

Unknown Address
If the address is unavailable your other option is to put the device into the linking mode, the controller will then see the address. You can do that without having to remove switch plates.
