In the admin console click on FILE | THEMES | FONT SIZE If you're using a large hi res monitor then there are other options...…..

The links for scenes are contained in the devices. You could remove the PLM from the equation and the scenes would still work. If you want to add or remove a battery operated device from a scene you first have to the device into the linking mode so the link tables in all the associated devices can be updated.

Have the first program call the then statement of a second program which will turn on then off the lights. The second program will complete regardless of the state of the first program program 1 IF control door sensor is on THEN run program 2 ELSE program 2 IF THEN turn on lights wait 10 minutes turn off lights ELSE

What ISY firmware and UI are you running? The device is compatible with 4.7.3 ISY firmware. Do a factory reset on the module then ty plugging into a different outlet. Don't press the set button on the module, just enter the modules address into the ISY and then try linking

The error message indicates a communications problem between the PLM and the DEVICE Take a look at this video troubleshooting video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMx5yHTU2g4

Keep in mind that 5.0.14 is a beta version. They're still working on getting all the bugs out. Not sure if ELK has issues. Take a look at the ELK thread, maybe you'll find answers there. https://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/8-elk/

Can you post a copy of the program that turns on the light via the motion sensor. What options do you have set for the sensor?
-
The motion sensor senses changes in temperature, not motion. i.e. when a person walks across the sensor's field of view it detects the difference between the person's body temperature and the temperature of the surrounding environment. There should be a sensitivity adjustments under the device options in the ISY if you're using ISY 5.x.x firmware.

If your timeout is set to 30 seconds then your IF statement will reevaluate when the sensor switches off. The THEN statement won't complete due to the 2 minute wait prior to turning the lights off. Put your THEN statement into a second program and have the first program call the THEN statement of the 2nd program. The second program will complete even if the sensor turns off after 30 seconds..

Battery operated devices go into a sleep mode and can't be queried from the ISY unless they're put into the linking mode. Press and hold the set button on the top left until the led blinks green. To cancel linking press and hold the set button until the led blinks red.

Before you try to replace or rewrite the SD card you should try removing the card and cleaning the card contacts with a soft eraser then reseat the card. Be sure to remove power from the ISY before removing the card.

Being that your deleted and reinstalled both Java and the ISY Launcher I'm not sure what's causing the error. Did you try rebooting the computer and checking for windows updates? If the above doesn't work then submit a support ticket to UDI Submit a Ticket: http://www.universal-devices.com/contact-support

If the problem only occurs when you try to access the admin console the try reinstalling (or installing) the ISY Launcher Be sure to clear your Java cache including all applications Here's the link for the launcher

There's no way to determine which programs were disabled other than loading your previous version 4 firmware then making a list of the disabled programs. In the future your can copy all your programs to a file by clicking on the "My Programs" folder then click on copy folder to clipboard. You can then paste into a word processor. That will give you a list of all your programs and their data, and will indicate which programs were enabled or disabled.

Hops is basically the number of attempts the device makes to communicate. The default is "3", a "1" indicates that it took 2 attempts and you have fair or poor communication, a "0" is a failure. If you have older single band devices in your system then upgrading them to dual band will improve your communications. You also want to make sure that the two sides of your powerline are bridged. The most effective way to bridge the powerline is by using plug in dual band devices, one on each side of the powerline. You can then confirm that by using the 4 tap test on the dual band devices. You should also make sure that you don't have any electrical appliances that are creating noise on the powerline which can interfere with the Insteon signal. Devices such as TV's, UPS, computers, etc. should be isolated from the PLM using filterlincs. Read the link I sent you regarding troubleshooting as it offers a lot of solutions to powerline issues. What is the model number of your PLM?
-
If you're seeing 1 or 0 hops then you have a communication issue between the PLM and your device. Take a look at this troubleshooting guide. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=INSTEON:_Troubleshooting_Communications_Errors

Is your firmware and UI the same version?
-
Yes, this is how the ISY launcher works.
-
The Firmware and UI should be the same version otherwise you could encounter issues. Clear your Java cache including applications then install the ISY launcher from this link. https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/24381-isy-launcher/ The launcher will place a icon on your desktop, detect your ISY firmware and automatically run the correct UI version

They made some hardware changes on the MS a few years ago. Some of the older MS will support the write update program. The only way to find out is to give it a try on a MS that has pending writes.
-
You can use this simple program to write updates to your motion sensor without having to press the set button. If Control ' Motion Sensor' is switched On Then Set 'Motion Sensor' Write Device Updates Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

The new motion sensors will work with 4.7.3 however the options are not available. The default motion timeout is fixed at 30 seconds. 5.0.14 beta is the current release of 5.x.x. It's still a work in progress. Here's the link

The motion sensing will work, the default is 30 seconds. None of the MS options can be accessed or changed via 4.7.3
