Hi, our Canadian seller of UDI devices has ZMatter USB dongles in stock (supposedly). Does anyone know if the dongle can be disassembled (without destroying it) and the internal module used in the Polisy directly? This might be a way to get around the no availability no eta for the ZMatter module itself from the seller. Thanks.

It was a simple question about supply chain issues that I hoped Michel would answer. I'll cancel the order...
-
Understandable but I would think comms to the retailer would be better. There's only one in Canada (that I know of).

I attempted to order the ZMatter board for my Polisy and was advised by the seller in Canada that they are backordered with no eta. @Michel Kohanim are we now into supply chain issues with this board? Or is this a temporary glitch? I placed the order but if this is going to be a long drawn out delay I'll just cancel... Thanks!

Hi all, my 90 yr old father has an ISY that I use automate certain tasks to make his life simpler and more enjoyable. His ISY config is pretty basic involving insteon switches for lights, a battery remote, and a few scenes and programs for lighting schedules. I use network resources for a local server which is used to collect weather data to automate/control some environmentals using iolincs. Everything is working perfectly. The question is can I upgrade his ISY to v5.3.4 from v4 without any impact to his configuration - especially network resources? Thanks!

@Geddy I currently run Z-Wave and Insteon on the Polisy without any big issues. My experience with Z-Wave so far makes me really appreciate the functionality of Insteon devices. I was musing about getting the Z-Wave card for Polisy and I’m watching developments & feedback.

@Geddy organization is much better and your responses are quite helpful, you’re doing a great job. Again thank you! Re. many have ported - Matter on Polisy is introducing new wrinkles so I’m watching it play out.

Thanks for this info. I’m totally comfortable with ssh and I’ll try the second approach. Update: @Geddy the update went well except for a time stamp error on launch which was a one time event. Fyi I still haven't migrated to Polisy at this point as I'm waiting for a day when UDI's hardware and fw changes are more stable, maybe I'm dreaming. Re. Current Release Announcement, I found updates to this area of the Forum to be rather sporadic in the past so I've had to hunt the updates down through other posts. Also fyi I've been using the ISY994 since the early days when LeeG was helping out on the forum and have enjoyed the experience. Your assistance is much appreciated.

Quick question and sorry for asking as I have not been following updates closely but what fw version is my Polisy supposed to be on? I tried to update the Polisy today and it's sticking to v5.4.5. Also will there be any further updates for the 994i? It's currently at v5.3.4. Thanks!

Interesting, I have a GE Z-Wave switch that has no system variables to select from so I can write a reporting program but I see the info I need in the logs as shown below. @Scott847 were these Sump Pump values selectable as system variables? Or did you do something to determine the raw values? Thanks!

While not specific to this conversation, this is my Aeotec Temperature and Humidity Sensor ZWA039 on Polisy using FW 5.4.5. I use Zooz Zwave and Insteon USB sticks on this test configuration. I was actually surprised it see all the additional sensors. Parameter setting is working fine especially F -> C for use in Canada as well as the wake interval. The multisensor controls a GE zwave relay to turn off/on a heater to keep the temperature slightly above 0C. Worked great through our two week deep freeze period of -30C to -35C.

I used to deal with Oracle licensing. Personally I don't trust Oracle at all, they're just too money hungry. I'd be working hard to get off the platform...

Didn't Michel say they are further developing the UD Mobile app for use in Windows and Mac? Maybe I misunderstood...
-
That would be helpful, thanks!

Last question for me Javi, are these messages expected? It was during a refresh and the Portal was being restored. Not a big deal, just curious.
-
Works for me, I actually didn't realize there was an Always Use setting.
-
Local connection using UD Mobile did not work at all for me using an iPhone during the portal outage. It seemed like the Portal connection was interfering with the local connection. I don’t have remote settings configured as I use a vpn. My finger on the light switch did work thankfully. : )
-
I’ve had to reauthenticate to portal a couple of times in the last few weeks which I thought was unusual. Not sure if it’s related. I’m having the same experience with UD Mobile.
-
It never occurred to me but UD Mobile is down too (of course). I see the app has local network settings, guess I should set these up but local access should work. Maybe I’m missing something…

Thanks @MrBillthat was it, for some unknown reason I had Polglot v3 pointing to the ISY with bad credentials. Of course that generated an error in the log. (should have thought of that) I don't run nodes on v3 yet. All good now.

Good morning, I currently run my ISY in parallel with my Polisy, mostly because I need Polisy/zwave functionality for a zwave switch in my shop. I thought I'd check the logs in my ISY this morning and I'm seeing hundreds of these auth errors in my ISY Error Log. The address 192.168.0.123 is my Polisy. [....] Sat 2022/11/19 08:50:33 AM System -170001 [Auth:-10103] 192.168.0.123:49453->80, Num=3 Sat 2022/11/19 08:50:33 AM System -170001 [Auth:-10103] 192.168.0.123:49453->80, Num=4 Is there any reason the ISY would repeated try to authorize itself to the ISY? Maybe it's early but it's not obvious to me why this is happening... Thanks!

Thanks for the tip!
