New ISY99i install problems
Do you have any firewalls and what is it? I had all kinds of problems with ZoneAlarm until the iSY99is IP address was added to the trusted zone.

New ISY99i install problems
If the PLM Info/Status is not showing anything. That is the problem. You may want to give the RJ45 connectors a good looking at. Some have reported one or more of the pins in the jack was bent up and not connecting to the cable. Start Linking should start the PLM LED flashing. Another indication the PLM and ISY99i are not communicating.

Load Controller Question (2477SA2 - Normally Closed Relay)
Well it depends on the hardware revision of the 2476S SwitchLinc Relay. Versions between 5.0 to 5.3 had a sense input. Lower and higher revisions do not have sense inputs. A separate model 2476SS now has the sense input Yes confusing.

Dual-Band Phase Bridging & ISY-99i
You are welcome. As questions arise. There are many users here that will gladly assist you. Also UDI Support should be en example for all companies to follow. It is exceptional.

Dual-Band Phase Bridging & ISY-99i
The Dual band devices do not link to each other in the tests for proper communications. The Dual Band tests are used to verify you have at least one device on each phase and that they are communicating with each other. You may want to try the connections tests after a few devices are installed. The tests should be done with the instruction in the users sheets. The ISY99i will do any of the linking you will need to get the system up and running. If you have not found the online Full Users Manuals for the modules they are here: http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?tit ... 7s_Manuals The full users manual for the ISY99i is here: http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/i ... rguide.pdf Wiki here. http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... =Main_Page

You are welcome. Glad it helped.

Can't Change Time
Does the samething happen if you use the synchronize to computer time?

2413s or 2412s?
The 2413S has a 1023 link database. Looks like that would not be a problem with yours.

2413s or 2412s?
My 2413S works fine with 2.8.6 firmware. It is faster doing somethings like queries. You may just want to check your total links in the PLM as the 2413S had about half the space as the 2412S.

2413S Dual Band PLM
The 2413S does not supply power. You need an external power supply. Smarthome has one and many here have used their own as the ISY99i has a fairly wide voltage acceptance. You could find a suitable one at many electronic supply vendors. Like Radio Shack. http://www.smarthome.com/1223PS/Univers ... ply/p.aspx http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=3593 The 2413S also does not have a ground pin so that is normal. The ground pin in a 2412S only connects from the rear male pin to the front pass through female jack. It has no connections to the internal circuitry at all.

Mysterious "Control Switched On" Notification. Gho
I have an under counter fluorescent light that makes my older revision 1.3 ApplianceLinc click on and off even when Local Control is disabled. The newer revision 4.1 works fine as the hardware was completely revised.

Help with lighting...newbie
I would also say it does sound like the paddle tact switch problem. Local paddles do not work but power line control does. Sometimes pushing near the edge of the paddle would work.

Release 2.8.5 RC1 is now available
Installed with out a hitch. My first impression was a surprise. My Lighting now shows all 6 buttons on a RemoteLinc and they show an On or Off as the particular button is actuated on the RemoteLinc. The 99i Administrative Console on the Desktop also has a nice new look.
-
Linking a RemoteLinc?
Well I was also use to the label being on the rear of the module or face plate of switches. Took me awhile to find it in my RemoLincs also.

ISY99 and Simplehomenet Utilitysuite compatibility
You will need a com port if you use the 2413S. Do you by chance have a USB to serial adapter to try?

2477D Insteon Dual Band SwitchLinc Dimmer flickering
Thank you for passing on the information on the cause. I have seen the TED5000 reported to kill X10 and possibly Insteon power line signals. If memory serves me it transmits at a one second interval over the power lines. I just looked at the TED5000 Troubleshooting Guide. It says its power line signal frequency is 132KHz. Gee Insteon is 131.65KHz.

Linking Mode Change for Remote Linc
You actually got a RemoteLinc to respond and you didn't use the Bright Dim button sequence to turn it on? I am using 2.8.4 and in Link Management when I choose add a RemoteLinc it does give the put the Remotelinc in the linking mode using the Bright and Dim Buttons message box.

I/O Linc and Grisk Absence of Water Sensor
Yes and if I got my logic backwards. You could use common and normally open and tape the normally closed lead.
-
I/O Linc and Grisk Absence of Water Sensor
If I read the manuals correctly. It normally is used to detect when a liquid level fall below its mounting point. In your case it would be reversed. So in theory the Normally Closed contacts would be open until the level was again high enough to cover the sensor probes. You could wire the common and normally closed contacts to the I/OLinc's sensor input and have it send a change of state when the detector detects water. You could also use a second float switch mounted higher than the one on the pump. Wired to an I/OLinc. There maybe others here that have used other water detectors and may have added information for you.

EZRAIN/EZFLORA
SDM3 can use a serial port. I used it with my 2414S PLCs all the time. You did have to tell it to use a com port the first time you used it or if you changed back and forth between USB and Serial versions. Ken Millers SetSHPort could also read the registry to find port in use and change it. As a test. I just used a 2414S with the Simplehomenet Utilities and it accessed an EZX10RF with no problems. I did have to make sure the SDM3-308 was set to use Com1 in my case.

New Install Problem
I am glad you got it working.

Help! ISY jusr stopped working. All I get is error not found
We all do it from time to time. I used the replace a module function and replaced the wrong module. In my attempt to fix it. I made it much worse.
