  1. Seems like you're reading the how to install on the node server page I linked to, that's outdated. You should take some time to read the Wiki about the "eisy Dashboard" to learn the steps to install plugins (formerly Node Servers). https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#eisy_(PG3)_Dashboard Some of the "older" node servers plugins haven't updated to the latest "install" notes for PG3x since they haven't been updated recently. PG3x handles all the install process. Once installed That's normal. Looks like you might be on macOS. Click on "Show Details" and there should be a proceed/continue type of option. You should get to the PG3x login page: Login with your admin console user/pass Then you'll want to click on "Plugin Store" Once you're on the store page just look for the Hue plugin there. Follow the steps on the PG3x interface and Plugin Store to install. Then refer back to the link above for the Hue plugin for setup. It's fairly simple, it will start and then push the button on the hub and it should connect and add nodes. REMEMBER: Do NOT have Admin Console open at the same time that you add/install/update plugins. Admin Console must be reloaded to update any nodes added.
  2. Sounds like you might have something stuck that is preventing the update. Please open a support ticket to get specific help for this issue. One thing to check. Go here: https://polisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt (you might need to use the Polisy IP rather than "polisy.local"). Look for pg3x-3.2.13 (or actually pg3x-3.2.14). If still showing the old version it should show a date that was installed. Please share the resolution if you can so it might help others should they also get stuck. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets
  3. @gschoffstall Would you be able to share some screen shots of these errors? What "certificate issue"? What's the reference to Github? 404 is an authentication issue. When you log into PG3x you're using the same credentials used to access Admin Console. How are you accessing PG3x? I use: http://eisy.local:3000/ (you might need to replace "eisy.local" with the IP address of your eisy. If you're using https://you.eisy.IP.address:3000 then you're probably getting this certificate error: Click "Advanced" (I already had in screenshot above). Then click "Proceed to...". Then log into the web access for Polyglot (PG3x). Things to check: Is the eisy registered with your portal account? Just to be sure your portal is connected correctly try this Click "System" Click "Switch Portal Profile" Login to current portal account Make sure Admin Console is closed while added plugins (I keep typing node servers!!!) The "More Info" button does not link to the correct location. Once you get it installed refer to this for setup if you have further issues: https://github.com/exking/udi-hue-pg3 I've already got this one installed, but when I go to the hue node server plugin screen this is what I see: You should be able to click on "Install" and then you should get this window: (Make sure you SELECT A SLOT to install to using the lowest drop down marked "Select Slot"!)
  4. I'm not sure if the Polisy might work more like the eisy since going to PG3x so you're probably best as @DennisC suggested of opening a support ticket. On the eisy if you don't plug a network cable in the wifi is enabled on boot and you can setup the credentials in UD Mobile. I don't know if changes were made to the Polisy to be able to do the same. Perhaps it's something that UD Mobile sets up for the Polisy. When you get the answer please be sure to update here so it might help others in the same situation. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets

Yep, it's still there. Try: http://eisy.local:8080/WEB/udajax.htm If that doesn't work use your eisy IP address in place of "eisy.local". There's also been talk of UD Mobile running on computers, but I haven't kept up with that because it's mostly for Mac (M# chips) and Win11 (with Android somehow) - of which I have neither at the moment.
  6. @johnnyt understood. I've suffered similar issues, but never thought that I'd need to turn the device off for the time change. If a reboot is all that might be needed just have your plug reboot it after the time change. Sure it might be better to go through a shutdown process, but unless it's on a UPS it would be just like if the power went off. It should typically recover. Otherwise, just turn it off for the night and back on the next morning. I know Michel has said he doesn't have time to monitor all the forums these days so if you think this process is necessary it might be worth asking UDI directly in a support ticket to see if possible to complete what you're wanting to do. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets
  7. @johnnyt May I ask what's the reason to power it down at that time? No clue about being able to have a program to try to power it down. Why not just leave it on like every other night?
  8. If you tried yourself then it sounds like T-Mobile is like all the other carriers that were slowing this down or disabled this service because of the amount of SPAM sent through this method. It's been commented here many times that email to text was an inefficient way to get alerts (going back several years now). Email to email or using other notification methods is the suggested route. Perform a Google Site Search for SMS delayed notifications and see some of the old conversations. Additionally, just random web searches result with these two topics on the T-Mobile site: https://community.t-mobile.com/apple-8/sending-text-to-my-cell-phone-using-attmomail-net-no-longer-working-51741 https://community.t-mobile.com/t-mobile-com-account-62/text-messages-from-python-program-no-longer-getting-through-52034
  9. @apostolakisl moved this over to the ISY994 forum since it wasn't PG3 related and now seems like you're having ISY994 issues. Good luck getting this resolved.

    isy 994i to eisy

I do not think this applies to you. Just reviewing the wiki the only "bolded" sections that mentions migration backups is under the portion related to moving from Polisy to eisy. I think it is/was related to the migration from another z-wave controller to the Z-Matter board. You don't use Z-wave so does not apply to you. As @DennisC posted above the move from ISY994 to eisy with only Insteon devices is very simple. You just needed to get both devices updated. Sounds like you were not running the firmware on the ISY994 that would make the migration possible. Could you provide a link that you reference here about not being able to find the ISY994 firmware? All "current" releases from UDI can be found referenced on the forums in the "Current Release Announcements" area. In the migration steps there is a link directly to 5.3.4. If you found a link that seems to imply something was superseded it would be good to know what you read so it can be updated if needed. Glad you found it, but if you're reading the migration steps it is fairly clear in the instructions: (Source: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Preparing_for_Migration_from_ISY-994) Hopefully you've successfully completed the process now.
  11. @DSwallow seems like you've got more experience to try to troubleshoot stuff and digging deeper than most would go. If this is an issue causing you not to be able to access the eisy then I would suggest you open a support ticket for specific help from UDI rather than user-to-user support mostly found here. Their troubleshooting process might be better suited to fixing what might be causing this for you. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets
  12. Try deleting the .state files from UDI. Also clear Java Cache (temporary internet files) and download a new start.jnlp file from the UDI site (click on "My ISY" on the top right). https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Admin_Console_Minimized/Invisible_and_Cannot_be_Restored (not the same problem, but it's where stored information is kept) The issue of reliably getting the friendly URL to display (I've found anyway) is a local network issue. Either router or device times out during the handshake and cannot get it to reliably show. I'm sure anybody with more network experience will contest this, but from personal experience I've seen some routers never auto find, sometimes auto find, or always auto find the URL. Because of the issues people have had over the last year I've tested with some "old" routers I had access to and the process was fairly inconsistent. Some of the worst offenders were "mesh" router systems. Also, some people have reported that IoX Finder window sometimes will report both the IP and the Friendly URL address. That's fine, and has been confirmed as "normal" by UDI. Both go to the same device and since they are discovered automatically are unable to be deleted. Once you have either/or in the IoX Finder window you can SAVE the list locally and then LOAD it should the list ever not populate. I think the steps above might help this issue too. At least clearing the Java Cache and starting admin console fresh might help. One last question - are you experiencing any of this on a laptop that you sometimes use outside of the home/network or with VPN? I've found if I'm on my laptop and travel with it and try to log into the ISY my "local" addresses will drop off the list while I'm gone. Typically they will auto discover next time I'm in the home network.
  13. @sjpbailey Perhaps check these posts out:
  14. UD Mobile - https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#UD_Mobile Just like the ISY994, but it does still work for everything that worked with the ISY994 (in my findings anyway). Mobilinc just doesn't handle z-wave, zigbee, or devices added via node servers (now plugins). As @lilyoyo1 says not much has really changed in the standard way of doing things. Just the plugins really expand the interconnectivity for devices to be controlled by the IoX system. There are a few growing pains to be expected with any major system overhaul. Don't get gun shy about any issues on the forums - you've got to put yourself in the shoes of the people posting. Mostly only problem transitions get posted because people need help. Those that sail through migration tend not to post because they don't need help. Read the forums for the plugins (formerly Node Server). Take a look at the list and additional information available through this list: https://polyglot.universal-devices.com/ Familiarize yourself with the wiki and the migration process. The eisy only has USB connections for the PLM. UDI sells a kit to convert the Serial PLM to a USB connection. Or you can buy a new USB PLM from Insteon. Or buy a Serial PLM to have as a backup just in case. Both versions seem to be in stock - https://shop.insteon.com/collections/interfaces
  15. After you updated to PG3x did you run the process to "Reinstall all Node Servers"? (sorry...now "Reinstall all Plugins") Also, after the update did you just perform a reboot by pressing the "reboot" button in admin console or did you perform a power cycle? I think it might be that the device isn't starting (or restarting) correctly and a full power cycle should be performed. Additionally, make sure you run the reinstall process from the System menu. Part of a recent update in Python required this step (Reinstall all Plugins) to be performed. I know it's not put in any of the update links for going to PG3x currently, but this step is posted in another update thread specific to the Python update. If you've performed the reinstall process and a full power cycle of the Polisy and are still having issues, I would suggest you open a support ticket (https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets). Download the log file from the Hue plugin as it is. Put the log status into debug Press "restart". Keep the log window open. After it settles wait about 5-10 minutes Download the log package. Both logs downloaded should be zipped. Add them to your support ticket so UDI has all the details up front.
  16. Yeah, I can’t update the macOS on the machine I used. It’s an older OS than you have and it worked, so you should be able to get it working. Since I have very limited exposure with macOS I rely on what others have posted here in the past and online searches to find tips and tricks. But this was fairly straight forward; hopefully you can get it sorted out.
  17. @curmudgeon The IoX Launcher should work just fine on your version of MacOS. I just tried it on an old macOS I have limited access to. Ran IoX Launcher just fine on 10.12.6 (even running an outdated Java version). Clear your java cache (aka deleting "temporary internet files") - checking all 3 boxes Delete any existing files of start.jnlp or admin.jnlp anywhere on your system. Download start.jnlp from the UDI website (click on "My ISY" in the top right). Once downloaded it might "bark" at you that it's from outside the app store. If so then use Control and click on the icon. You should get a menu to pop up. Click "open". You should get a dialogue, but it should give you an option to open that again. That should work. If not search the forums for how to allow 3rd party apps to run. I know last time I tested on this macOS there was a post from @Bumbershoot that got me to the options I needed to run it without issue. (I'm not entirely sure if THIS is the same post I used in the past, but it should give you tips.) If you still have issues running start.jnlp to put the IoX Launcher icon on the desktop you can still get the admin file directly from the ISY994. Just use a browser to go to: http://your.ISY.IP.address/admin.jnlp The admin.jnlp will probably also bark at you that it can't/shouldn't be opened since it doesn't come from the app store. Just use the Control + click to get a menu that has "Open" at the top then follow the prompts to allow or open that file.
  18. @Sidney Page You have to log in through the device you're on. Make sure you are logged into the web access to your device (for eisy probably https://eisy.local:3000 or use the device IP with :3000). Be sure to continue if/when you get a security prompt (see info in wiki link below). From there should be a link to the store and then a process to purchase and/or install will be in the node server (now plugin) that you want. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#eisy_(PG3)_Dashboard (Note: some images might be outdated)
  19. You will need the IoX Launcher process now. This has been the process since 2018. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Installing_the_Admin_Console_Icon_on_Your_Desktop Announcement from UDI: https://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/24381-iox-launcher/ What version of Windows are you running? Make sure you download the basic Java for your Windows version from https://www.java.com/en/download/.
  20. No, sadly that link has always been broken. I've mentioned it to others, but the developer hasn't updated the node server so the link hasn't been corrected. The link should go to this page: https://github.com/exking/udi-hue-pg3/blob/master/README.md Or here https://github.com/exking/udi-hue-pg3/blob/master/POLYGLOT_CONFIG.md
  21. That's long "before my time"! It's "anything goes" kind of times. So "plug-in" your "dongle" where every you see fit! Just remember to reboot before and after and backup, backup, backup! @larryllix you're one of the many that have always been helpful and supportive of so many here through the years. I'm surprised anybody would threaten to toss you out. That would be a huge loss for this support system. We all know (or can agree) that naming "things" is more a marketing function...that it's not a programmer strength! Thanks @Michel Kohanim for the info!
  22. ARGH! The great "name change" of 2023! They'll always be node servers in my heart! Just for S&G I ran another backup now and it's the same size as the last one I ran 4 hours ago. I doubt logs are backed up since that would be 4 hours of additional logging. Have you updated PG3x? You mentioned you're on 3.2.10. Looks like 3.2.13 was released yesterday. [S&G = Sh!ts & Giggles]
  23. @btreinders I'm not sure how many node servers you are running, but I just ran 4 backups and all were the same file size. They're not very big so I'm not running near as many as you to even get to 1.9Mb size. I have a backup from about 2 weeks ago that was within 1% the size that the 3 new backups were and I haven't added any node server. I've only updated to PG3x Version 3.2.12. My testing: 2 backups run about 60 seconds apart 1 backup after restarting the Hue node server (file changed by 1kb) 1 backup after 10 minutes after rebooting entire device (file changed by 2kb) Not sure what all is getting backed up, but if log files are included that might make the difference that I had, but it's not anywhere near the size difference you're showing. Might be something UDI should look at or maybe @bmercier or @bpwwer could give some insight on why you're seeing such big differences.
  24. @johnjces from the looks of your second screenshot it's showing the $15 version is installed in slot 1. So I would use that as confirmation. If you need more official confirmation you should open a support ticket to get UDI to confirm you've purchased the standard license. You can also see on the UDI portal site the list of purchased node servers.
  25. As @bgrubb1 suggests you can disable them, but perhaps a different thought would be to put them in a folder (maybe labeled “old house”) and set a folder condition that will always be false. You can also disable them inside the folder, but setting the folder condition makes sure if they become enabled that they won’t run because the folder would be false. Look up folder conditions in the Wiki or ISY Cookbook (links found in the Wiki). Another option is to right click on the root of the “My Programs” list and select Copy to Clipboard (or maybe copy folder...I’m not at my admin console to see actual wording). Then paste ALL your programs into a text editor (like Notepad on Windows….NOT WORD!). Then save that document and you have a reference to ALL your programs. Then you can delete the old ones just so they aren’t at risk being in the system. Just don’t use “export”…you only want to COPY then paste to Notepad! PS: Run Update Packages again. You need to update IoX to _5
