Yes that is the issue in the current build, most should e addressed in the next release.

I had to reboot my polisy once more for it to detect PLM. ZWave was also not loading but after a full reboot it is all working now.

The Java console is just a client and does really nothing itself. They are using eisy-ui to communicate much the same way... They would have to deliberately change how IoX functions and I don't think they would do that. What may happen though is new things will not be supported in Java... I don't have a good example since I cannot predict the future what a new thing may be but here goes... say a new matter standard comes out for support of a new device type (eg. kitty litterboxes LOL)... UD adds that standard into IoX Matter and updates eisy-ui to display correctly. Java console would not understand what that is so would probably not display the nodes correctly or not at all.

Park it next to your isy994i or polisy (if you choose not to ssh upgrade it) and keep it off the internet. Or keep a bootable image of your current computer and boot from that when you need the old java to work.

I am 90% dependent on Network Resources so I guess I need to hold off for a bit yet.

But I think eisy is doing fine, it looks like the eisy ui is the only thing not seeing the plm. The java console shows plm connected, and in fact, it is connected. Eisy is able to send/receive instoen commands . . . my lights are all working.

Does reboot correct the issue? If not please open a ticket.

No, I started a ticket

EDIT: I guess the reboot did fix it, but it took a good 10 minutes after the reboot. Maybe it had to finish the polling of all insteon devices.

I just upgraded my PC from a Hercules Graphics card to a spanking new VGA Wonder, and I'd like to enjoy it!

ie: will we be able to actually set it colors? I found the admin console color easy on the eyes and it would be nice to be able to set it to something similar.

In their defense, the isy is 20 years old for those still on the 26 (if any). For those with the 994, it's 15 years with final support ending 3 years ago. They can't continue to commit to 2 systems (especially for unsupported devices) if they want to grow. Just like those with 3g and below cell phones (along with cats that used 3g networks) all things come to an end with technology. It sucks but a persos. With a 15 year old system really isn't their consumer base anymore. Those with newer systems are. If they commit precious dollars to maintain a defunct system, those customers suffer most.

I am on an ISY994i and the UDI support of it is tons of better and longer than most manufacturers these days. Costs money to support old devices. I am very happy with their support as long as was provided.

Do you understand that the new UI will not have support for network resources??!! I know that I cannot find it at this point but I was assuming it would show up at some point.

@oberkc This was suggested when v5 came out but many of us depend on them. It was suggested NR could be made into a plug-in for PGx at that time.

If you click on the question mark under the "Upgrade to" column in the System screen, you will see the release notes. If you want to see the release notes for 6.1.2_3 but haven't upgraded to it yet, temporarily switch to the staging repo, then you'll see the latest available versions, and can see the release notes without necessarily upgrading yet.

Not sure what you mean by "allow eisy access from outside the LAN". Where have you seen this?

For eisy-ui, it appears that the user-selected sort order for devices and programs is "sticky," meaning that it is saved between sessions. But this is not the case for variables. It would be nice to have that.

Also, there needs to be some ability to sort notification templates, or at least have them sorted by default by name.
