Insteon Thermostat Replacement
Well it's safe to say you're the first that I have ever read that has used the *replace with* option for a TSTAT! [emoji1] I am sure this information will help out someone down the line. If you could please edit your initial thread with some key words so others can find it when using the search feature. [emoji4] Ideals are peaceful - History is violent

Repair of 2413S PLM When the Power Supply Fails
Hello Jim, Please note battery operated devices will need to be individually awaken and restored if they are associated to the KPL B. If you see 1011 next to any battery operated devices simply press the set button to place them in linking mode. Do a restore device one at a time and you should be good to go. Please report success / failure. Ideals are peaceful - History is violent

Repair of 2413S PLM When the Power Supply Fails
You could certainly do a modem restore if you believe the PLM has lost the links to the KPL's. Before doing so I would suggest you right click on the KPL node and select restore device and see if they come back on line. Once that is completed reboot the ISY Series Controller. Report back success / failure. Ideals are peaceful - History is violent

Insteon Thermostat Replacement
To the left of the device tree. Highlight the old TSTAT. Right click of the mouse and there should be an option to select replace with. You will do this after you have added in the new TSTAT to the Insteon network. Ideals are peaceful - History is violent

Email Notification Problem
I have not seen any mail related issues from the ISY Series Controller. But have seen a complete black out of forum post updates coming from the UDI site. Everything stopped about 4:00 PM CST. This morning there were 72 alerts or updated posts which I have subscribed to that finally came in. I was really hoping this move to Amazon would resolve these forum issues. Two SwitchLinc Dimmer 2-wire stop working at the same time, any ideas?
To be clear for the benefit of others who may stumble upon this thread. You indicated when the bulb went out. That you found the switch LED no longer lit, correct? [emoji53] Ideals are peaceful - History is violent

Two SwitchLinc Dimmer 2-wire stop working at the same time, any ideas?
Kill the breaker and wait 30 seconds and report back success / failure. If the switch is in the same state hard reset the switch and report back success / failure. I would remove the load and change it out with a new incandescent bulb while you're there.

Bad Garage Door Status at 0300 on two occasions
Do you have any dual band device(s) on the same electrical branch as the GDO? If you have another plugin dual band Lamp Linc or On/Off Relay this would help you determine if you have bridging / coupling. The 4 tap (beacon) test is the first thing you need to confirm for a solid Insteon network. Initiate the beacon test from the 2413S PLM and see if the dual band device Acks this RF test. If the test shows no bridging / coupling you need to address that portion. If the 4 tap beacon test shows proper coupling / bridging than more likely there is a new noise issue present. This can be a noise maker to a signal sucker. That can be from a new device being plugged in not normally at those hours or operating in that time frame. Most common are cell chargers, bad transformers, even LED / CFL bulbs just going bad. When you notice devices turn on fine but have a hard time turning off its more likely the load is the cause. Even if that load worked fine before when electronics go bad like the electronic ballasts etc. These little gremlins start to impact the network.

If you find that neither of the I/O Lincs are programmed for trigger reverse. This could be COM issue which you will need to address.

Trigger reverse enabled in the I/O linc?

Are they working on Mobilinc updates?
OK, got it. Yeah, I guess when you're mobile and not in reach of a PC. That would be a little hard to do but gather you would need to open the same *forwarded* mail and view it in the smartphone browser. Takes a few more steps for sure but it should provide the entire hops and the IP address from the home. My suggestion is to set up the ISY to send a e-mail to hot mail directly upon reboot. Or have the ISY send a e-mail based on a timed threshold you feel is adequate. At that point you could look at the header and determine the public IP address. Given this isn't going to happen too often I am not sure how much value this has. But, since it did happen its one of those things you're happy does exists and is ready to aid you in determining the information.

Are they working on Mobilinc updates?
If you forward the GMAIL to Hotmail the full header should be visible give that a try.

Michel, Most excellent and have upgraded based on your reply. Much Thanks!

Upgrade Notice?
Hrmm, I've never seen a automatic upgrade option in the Help etc? Maybe it only shows up like in the image I posted up?

Upgrade Notice?
I'm glad others have seen this too! [emoji38] I thought I was losing my marbles when I logged in yesterday! [emoji23] MustangChris, What is this automatic upgrade feature you speak of? [emoji53] Ideals are peaceful - History is violent

Upgrade Notice?
That makes perfect sense to me. I have like you been running each Beta since launch so gather when UDI makes a release official. There is no flag being declared on the Admin Console since we are all on the latest release. In the last several years I can honesty say I have never been using a older version of firmware. This is the first time I have not jumped into the next cycle because of long term Alpha testing for the Energy Module. I will see what UDI has to say about this 4.2.30 release and if it includes the Energy Monitoring patch I have been testing.
-
Upgrade Notice?
Really?? This has never appeared on my console in any release I have used, ever. Not sure why its working now but happy to see this in place. Its always the small things like this that impress me about the ISY and what UDI brings to the product.
-
Upgrade Notice?
Today I logged into the Admin Console like I do everyday. Upon launching the Admin Console I was presented with a new version 4.2.30 is now available? I think its quite awesome this small feature has been implemented but would like to know when this started? Also, I would like to know if 4.2.30 has the energy patch which I am Alpha testing at the moment?

Amazon Echo and ISY
Randy, Very sad to read you didn't make the cut. Having someone on the inside who knows what the ISY membership wants in terms of integration was really key for me. [emoji22][emoji35] Let's see how others fair and help shape the development of this product. I really wish UDI would have been tapped directly by Amazon to participate in this process. Oh well let's see where this goes. Ideals are peaceful - History is violent

SynchroLinc - Is the power consumption of my device too low to use it?
Hello Simon, It's been awhile and am very happy you were able to make this work, finally! [emoji1] My first guess is the fact the SL is not dual band. Next are you sure your Insteon network is properly coupled / bridged as confirmed by the 4 tap (beacon) test outlined by the 2413S PLM user guide. Next, more than likely the gear your controlling is a noise maker / signal sucker. So some of this gear may be impacting the SL and the COM's. A filter linc may be in order here. You could simply write a program that query the SL at set intervals so you know it's current state as a work around. Those are my thoughts for today. PLM just failed after installing new module
Hello Jerry, Is the PLM near the two year mark? If so its more than likely its internal capacitors have failed. There is a link where some great folks have provided the specified parts and values needed to bring your unit back to life. If the unit is within the two year mark engage Smarthome as they will assist you in the RMA process for a replacement unit. If the unit is out of warranty you can definitely follow the capacitor replacement procedure. In-LineLinc Relay and KeyPadLinc
In the Insteon world when a device is programmed to be a controller it by default makes it also a responder.
