Java Problems & SSL Certificate Problems
Hello smbaker, Sincere apologies for tardy reply .... Finder requires UDP access to find ISY and most firewall software block UDP/UPnP. As such - and as you noted - you can click on the Add button and then add the URL for ISY. With kind regards, Michel

Java Problems & SSL Certificate Problems
Hello smbaker, 1. No hope for Java-less ... we cannot have different applications for different platforms and, thus far, Java has proven to be the only semi-platform independent environment out there 2. (As per instructions in the PDF) You need to use the Dashboard to install certificates. You can find dashboard at http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/dashboard.jnlp With kind regards, Michel

Admin console - System Busy
Hi Bill, Please open the Event Viewer, change the Level to 3, and let me know if you have any traffic. Also, you might want to go to Program Summary tab and see which programs are running and stop them one a time and see if the traffic stops in the Event Viewer. At the moment I suspect you have a program that's in a tight loop. With kind regards, Michel

Weather Bug - What data is available?
Hi IM, Thanks so very much for your thorough response. Indeed quite appreciated. JMC, I am not sure what to say about DNS errors. All I can say is that if you have Cisco/Linksys, Juniper, or any flavor of DD-WRT, please reboot your router and see if that helps. If not, you might want to configure ISY with a static IP address and then use either of the following DNSs: 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8 With kind regards, Michel

Release 4.0.2 Beta Is Now Available
Hi i814u2, No worries at all. It's excellent that we at least know that there's a problem regardless of whether or not there's a resolution. Thanks so very much for all your feedback. With kind regards, Michel

Weather Bug - What data is available?
Mike, 12 inches of rain yesterday does not equal to 12 inches of water UNLESS your absorption factor is 100%. Here's the link to the list of errors: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_Messages The main problem seems to be that ISY has a hard time getting out to the Internet. Gary, etoYesterday is calculated based on Evapotranspiration Algorithm developed by UN. With kind regards, Michel

Weather Bug - What data is available?
Hi Mike, Here's the code and I let you decide whether or not it meets your requirements: waterDeficitYesterday = etoYesterday-(rainToday*absorptionFactor); irrigationRequirement += waterDeficitYesterday; if (irrigationRequirement irrigationRequirement = 0.00; I am not at all certain that a negative irrigation requirement makes any sense. In all cases: 1. You have networking issues that have to be resolved 2. If this module does not meet your requirements, we'd be delighted to deactivate it and give you a full refund With kind regards, Michel

Network Resource Problem
wrj0, Thanks so very much for the update. It would still be interesting to know what actually caused the issue. Is there a list of things that were fixed in the new firmware? The reason I ask is that lately we have had so many router related issues especially with exotic things like DD-WRT, Juniper, and Cisco ASxxx. Rebooting the router would fix the issue but only temporarily ... perhaps there's a common thread through all or perhaps I am just grasping at straws. Anyway, thanks again for posting back. With kind regards, Michel

"Current State" doesn't appear
Hello ro345, This is excellent (no pun intended) ... perhaps you can help us troubleshoot as a) you are using non-windows and it happens semi-consistently. Would you be kind enough to try accessing ISY using httpS instead of http and let me know whether or not you have the same issues? With kind regards, Michel

PGE PROVISIONING ISY-994Izs
Hi Walt, I would love to login to your computer (with your permission of course) and go through the activation. I suspect one of the steps is not being followed. If you'd like, please send me an email (support@universal-devices.com) and we'll schedule a call/remote session. Also, please upgrade to 4.0.2 as it has a more streamlined way of finding the meter. With kind regards, Michel

How do I generate and install a self signed certificate
Hi mitch236, Self-signed certificates are fine. The only drawback is that your browser does not recognize the authority (in this case "you") who signed the certificate and thus gives you those warnings. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Mike, Actually LeeG is 100% correct: the value can never be negative not even internally. If negative, it's immediately set back to zero. With kind regards, Michel

Release 4.0.2 Beta Is Now Available
Hi, Bug in 4.0.2 and fixed in our next release You are correct: the purpose of the Finder is to find ISY. This said, depending on your firewall (which may block UDP packets), ISY may not be found and thus the reason for the Add button so that you can enter the URL for ISY manually. These mean that ISY lost communication with a subscriber with ID 56 and 57. This means that ISY could not connect to WeatherBug Those values are only used for OpenADR and SEP. No other calculations are done based on those. In any case, after you edit a cell, you have to press the Enter button for the value to hold Which "files" are you referring to? Need more information as to which "folders" are you referring to. Those under programs or the device tree? Have you cleared your Java cache? With kind regards, Michel

Does the progress bar mean anything?
kingwr, It does mean something: it's our best estimate of how long an operation should take based on a few factors including the time it takes to complete a command, the number of commands, and some adjustment for cases where they are communication issues. If you do have a lot of communication problems, then obviously the progress bar is going to keep restarting. With kind regards, Michel
