Is your firmware and UI current? There was an issue with an earlier firmware version that could have caused your issues.

Admin Console documentation for current version.
Techman replied to diesel94's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
@diesel94 The link for the current version of the admin console is: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp The version shown in the ISY cookbook is obsolete. You must clear your java cache, including checking all 3 boxes, which will delete your admin console desaktop icon, then click on the above link to install the new admin console icon, now called IoX Launcher -
It's definitely time to open the box. The EISY is a major improvement over the now discontinued ISY994

Your best source of information is either the Wiki or this forum. If you have a question on a specific topic or issue post it on the forum and you'll usually get a fast response. The basic scene structure really hasn't changed much The admin console also hasn't changed much over the years The ISY Cookbook is also a good source of information. It's a little out of date but still very useful. The ISY-994i Home Automation Cookbook (universal-devices.com) -
They were recently have technical issues with the default mail server. I think the issues have now been resolved as reported by other forum members.
-
Who are you using for the email server? In the email configuration have you selected HTML?

Have you tried accessing the Polisy via the admin console? If the 3rd led is blinking you may have a bios or signature failure. If that's the case then you need to submit a support ticket: https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets

If you transfer from your current ISY to a different ISY then the only cost would be the $125. If you buy the EISY then you would need the Zmatter module ($126) which is currently out of stock but should be back in stock soon. You would also need the USB to serial adapter for your PLM or you could buy a new USB PLM. Depending on how old your current PLM is you might be better off with a new PLM as some of the older PLMs had issues with their power supplies which caused them to fail.
-
I didn't realize that the modules could be transferred for a fee. The money would probably be better spent on a new EISY with free support. The ISY994 doesn't support some of the newer Insteon modules. You would have to purchase the Zmatter module for Zwave support and ELK access ($30) from the PG3 Store.

Verify that the Polisy is connected to your Router It's possible that your IoX Launcher isn't current. Delete your java cache, including checking all 3 boxes which will delete the admin console launcher from your desktop. Then download the current IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Let me know if you're then able to see the Polisy in the admin console.
-
Being that the ISY994 is no longer supported you can't transfer any purchased modules over to another ISY994.
-
Remove power from the ISY then remove the SD card and clean the contacts with a soft eraser. The contacts can oxidize which can cause issues. If that doesn't help then you could try replacing the SD card which can fail over time. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Replacing/Formatting_an_SD_Card Hopefully you have a reliable backup, and your firmware is up to date. Being that the ISY994 has been discontinued and is no longer supported, your other option is to move up to the EISY.
-
When you do a REPLACE WITH the devices must be the same. You'll have to delete the 2466DW and add the 2477D as a new device.. Your programs will have a void where the previous switch was so you'll need to manually add the new switch to each program.
-
@fegelmej Try removing the SD card and clean its contacts with a soft eraser. The contacts can sometimes oxidize which can cause issues. If that doesn't improve things then the card should be replaced with a high quality card.

@smarthome_newbie Zwave version 6.81.00 means that you have the 500 series board installed. If you click on HELP | ABOUT in your Polisy it will show what modules, i.e. Zwave, are installed. Prior to migration you should update the ISY to the latest firmware which is 5.3.4 : 5.3.4 (ISY994) - Last release for ISY994 - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com) Be sure to carefully read the migration instructions before migrating. You should also update the Polisy to the latest firmware prior to migrating, and backup all devices before and after firmware updates. Migrations instructions: Eisy:User Guide - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

@fegelmej Have you tried doing a RESTORE DEVICES which is in the file menu

How do you get the icon representing a variable to populate without having to click on the icon when the favorite window is selected? When you refer to enabling an item I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to.

Is there a way for an icon representing a variable in the favorites window to automatically update without having to tap the icon. Currently on Android version 1.1.64

Being that the ISY994 is discontinued and no longer supported you best option is to migrate your Insteon and Zwave to the Polisy. The Polisy supports the Zmatter dongle which you have to purchase seperately. The Zmatter dongle supports Zwave, Zigbee and Matter protocols. The Polisy also supports PG3. In order to migrate Zwave from the ISY to the Polisy, the ISY needs to have the 500 series board. If you have the 300 series then you'll have to rebuild only your Zwave network from scratch on the Polisy. You can tell what board you have by looking at the firmware version in the Zwave menu. Being that the Polisy was selling for about $300 when you bought it, you most likely don't have Zmatter installed. You'll see the Zmatter dongle on this link, scroll down: UD Store - Universal Devices (universal-devices.com) ISY994 to Polisy migration instructions: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide#Migration

Being that the ISY994 was discontinued and is no longer supported by UDI, both you and your new buyer might be better off either removing the ISY and Insteon devices or have your buyer purchase the Insteon Hub Hub 2 Central Controller – Insteon Updates from Richard - April — Insteon

Not a problem, we all suffer from frustrations from time to time. I'm not familiar with Home Assistant. The Zmatter dongle is Zwave certified and does suport LR. I don't think the Zwave 800 series, being rather new, has had much exposure on the EISY so it might be best to submit a support ticket if you're still having issues.

Delete your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then downnlaod the current version of the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp This will place a new IoX Launcher on your desktop -------------- Is your goal to retire the ISY and use the Polisy as your main controller? You'll find the firmware and UI versions in the admin console under HELP | ABOUT Does your Polisy have the Zmatter dongle installed? Does you ISY have the 300 or 500 series Zwave card installed?
-
If you've installed the Ring app from the PG3 store then if would have to been on the Polisy. What are the firmware and UI versions for the ISY994? Is your Polisy currently connected to your router via ethernet cable? What device is your PLM connected to? Is your goal to use the Polisy as your main controller and discontinue the ISY994?

@Javi The EISY reboot and UDM sync resolved it. Many thanks.
