Slow scene changes with eisy programs
The status of a scene doesn't display as a scene is unable to report status. You can right click on a scene, then run DIAGNOSTICS | SCENE TEST, which will show any issues within the scene. Copy and post the results of the test.

IoX Finder showing my Polisy twice
That's normal with the current version of the IoX Launcher. You can launch your polisy from either. No action is needed

Garage door opens unexpectedly
Random "all on" events won't show up in the event log. If you don't see the garage open event in your log then focus on both the "all on" trouble shooting or the possibility of a failing insteon device somewhere in your network which can create false Insteon signals.

Garage door opens unexpectedly
If you don't see a log entry for the IOLinc and Siren being activated at the time the garage door opened then take a look at this link: INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

how can I see which devices do/do not have direct communication with z-wave eisy?
If "everythihng works just fine" then I think you're looking for a problem that doesn't exist yet. If it's not broken then don't fix it.

How do I keep or access the Event Viewer Log without leaving the Admin Console running 24/7?
I don't know of a way to view the activity or error logs except via the admin console, which, as Geddy has said, should not be left open for long periods. If the issue is always with the same device(s) then you should factory reset the device and then do a restore device. A device that is failing can also cause the issue. Also take a look at this link INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

“AutoUpdate Status: Authorization Failed!” & “Java Internal Error” on launch
There are documented issues with Java and Mac. Do a search on the forum, "java and mac". Not sure if or how it was resolved. I'm a Windows user and not familiar with Mac.

how can I see which devices do/do not have direct communication with z-wave eisy?
Not sure exactly what it is you're looking for. If the devices work as expected and their status displays correctly in the admin console then all is good. Zwave is a mesh network, alll a/c powered devices relay their data. There's is no way that I know of to tell if a device is communicating with the Zmatter dongle directly or via a relay in the Zwave mesh network.

You could right click on a device, click on X-ray, then node info.

“AutoUpdate Status: Authorization Failed!” & “Java Internal Error” on launch
yes, removing power rather than the reboot option Reboot your computer, then the eisy
-
“AutoUpdate Status: Authorization Failed!” & “Java Internal Error” on launch
You can also try removing power from the eisy for about 15 seconds, then boot it up.

“AutoUpdate Status: Authorization Failed!” & “Java Internal Error” on launch
Your IoX Launcher may not be current. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp If this doesn't resolve your error then you may have to reinstall java.

Post PLM change ISY can communicate with lights, lights can't communicate with ISY
If you only have a few links in your PLM then the restore PLM procedure didn't work, i.e. the links in the ISY didn't get written to the PLM. Are you sure you ran "RESTORE MODEM (PLM)" from the file menu. If so, then do a restore devices Restore Devices Selecting this menu option starts the ISY to use the current configurations settings stored within ISY, and reprograms all the INSTEON devices based on them. Upon completion, this operation reboots ISY and closes Admin Console. This operation is most useful when a PLM is replaced or if INSTEON devices and their logical representations on ISY are out of synch. This scenario might happen if INSTEON devices are manually linked without using ISY’s GUI. Please follow the instructions below: If you are replacing a PLM: Please make sure you reboot ISY with the new PLM before doing anything else Click on File | Restore ISY and restore a good backup. If you are replacing a defective PLM, choose a backup from right before the PLM died. This is a very important step Once ISY reboots, wait for the query to complete If you have PRO series, click on the Battery icon on the top right corner of the tool bar. This prevents ISY from trying to restore battery operated devices since they are sleeping and will not respond Please make sure ISY is in Ready state Click on File | Restore Devices - this will take a long while In case ISY cannot communicate (or decides not to if an RF device/PRO Series) during the process, you will have a series of nodes with green 1011 icons in the device tree. For each one of those nodes: If an RF device, ensure that the device is in Programming mode Right mouse click | Write pending updates or Write updates to device... For some newer INSTEON devices, you might have to repeat this step a couple of times since some devices may not go into linking mode If you have PRO series, click on the battery icon on the toolbar so that ISY goes back to normal mode

Access Points Needed Anymore?
Unplug them, and if you don't have any issues then store for a rainy day.

Still getting Not Found but can no longer see the ISY via LAN address
@rayg Now would be a good time to replace your SD card with a high quality card as it's not unusual for the older SD cards to fail. Here's the instructions for replacing the card: ISY-99i/ISY-26 INSTEON:Replacing/Formatting an SD Card - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

Still getting Not Found but can no longer see the ISY via LAN address
Not sure if ther ISY will respond to a ping Try removing the SD card and clean its contacts with a soft eraser, this worked for me.

Eisy programs will turn some insteon switches on but not off
@lionheartkc Try removing power from the eisy for about 15 seconds then let it boot up. If that doesn't work then it's possible that one of your loads on your modules is creating noise on the powerline which is interfering with the off command. Are all the modules involved all dual band? You can try disconnecting the modules, one at a time, to see if it may be causing issues.

Product update from Insteon 12/21/2023
Hi everyone, First, I wish everyone a joyful holiday season and a very happy New Year! 2023 went by in a flash for us here at Insteon and we are already looking forward to 2024 and what it will bring! Speaking of holidays, we will be closed Christmas Day (Dec 25) and New Year’s Day (Jan 1). Additionally, orders placed after 11am PT on Dec 21 will not begin processing until Dec 26. Orders placed after 11am PT on Dec 28 will not begin processing until Jan 2. I also ask for your patience and understanding over the next few weeks as the holidays can impact our response times. We are a small team, and this time of year can affect our normal availability. On the Director app front, we are very close to having support for the Micro Open/Close module so stay tuned for that. I also wanted to share that my co-founder, Richard, will begin sending out routine updates as well starting in January. These updates will focus on the Director app, future products, and software news. One bit of exciting news is we now have LED Flicker/Glow Eliminators in our store! If you have LED lighting that never goes off completely or flickers, this could be your solution! And, if you have not already checked out the Tabletop Enclosure Kit for Keypads and Switches, you will want to. These are great for bringing the convenience of a switch or keypad to your end table or nightstand. Both the LED Flicker/Glow Eliminators and Tabletop Enclosure Kits are expected to begin shipping in early January. Lastly, if you have some feedback for us, you can let us know here. You can tell us product or Director app feature requests, product availability suggestions, comments about our website, or just general feedback. Be sure to select what type of feedback you are submitting in the “Select Feedback Type” dropdown menu. Every one of these submissions are read by our executive management team. Thanks, and have a great rest of 2023! Ken CEO, Insteon Technologies Feedback Form Link: https://www.insteon.com/general-feedback

Still getting Not Found but can no longer see the ISY via LAN address
You need to keep the DHCP setting. It's possible the SD card got corrupted, if that's the case your backup date may also be invalid if you do a backup. What's you ISY firmware version? When you cleared your java cache did you check all 3 boxes? There are no old versions of the IoX launcher available. Did you download the IoX Launcher from here? https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

System not connected to internet. Cannot upgrade to version 5.
The firmware and instructions for installing it can be found here: 5.3.4 (ISY994) - Last release for ISY994 - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com) Be sure to read and follow the instructions exactly. The firmware should be downloaded to your desktop, it will be in the ZIP format. DO NOT unzip it. Note: I'm assuming that you do not have the 300 Series Zwave board installed.

s2 security on z-wave
@EWhite Your Zwave menu is not the current menu that displays with the Zmatter dongle. Either your Polisy bios or Polisy firmware is not up to date, or the Zmatter dongle wasn't installed properly. Is your Polisy an early version, if so it may need a bios update?
