  1. I had three certificates before I started. Two from UDI and a Java FX Runtime Object. I left the Java one and deleted the original UDI ones.
  2. My first attempt failed. Your server chopped off the end of the update files. The files properties showed about 1.9Mb file size. Second download was 3.19Mb in size. I would recommend that anyone downloading the files. Check its size before trying the update. Also for long time users that have done updates before. Follow the added step of the Java Certificates. This is a new step. The System Ready/Busy flag in the lower left corner changes back to Green even if the system is still busy. If the Busy progress bar on the screen hits 100% and has to start at 0% again. The Busy indication is still there just a Green flag not Yellow. I will try it with a SynchroLinc if it ever ships. Seems the never ending slipping ship date is now 01/14/2011
  3. You may want to verify the SD Memory Card didn't work loose in shipping. I believe the newer ones have an external slot where you can access it. My older one you have to remove the cover. Here is a Link to the full users manual if you don't have it yet. http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/i ... rguide.pdf The UDI wiki. http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... =Main_Page
  4. Have you tried downloading the file again? There where reports that the server was cutting the file short sometimes.
  5. On line manual for the KeypadLinc. Disable beep is in this manual. Dimmer Model http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?title=2486D_Manual Relay model. http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?title=2486S_Manual I believe I also saw an improper type load on the dimmer may also make it beep. You may want to do a factory reset. As beep is supposed to be disabled by default and yours may have some test links in it from shipping.
  6. I tried to telnet my unit and it worked as expected. Except XS would NOT exit the shell and the only way to disconnect was to use the reboot choice in the shell.
  7. My error log is now showing many no network connection messages. When I rebooted my DI-604. I generated the message and expected it. While it was rebooting. The error log showed every five seconds it tried the connection again. Is this correct? I also noticed the activity LED for the port the ISY99i is on is almost constantly showing activity. Again is this now normal? Wireshark shows many messages with the source IP of the ISY99i. To an IP 239.255.255.250
  8. Follow the instructions to the letter and it works. I used the .jnp icon on my desktop and it did not change the about to 2.8.9 Used the https://your.isy.ip.address/admin and it did work.
  9. I don't think you where asleep for a long time. First time I ever saw a reference to a 992i or 994i.
  10. Mine went fine with no problems. I also saw the 2.8.8 in the About Tab and backup I made after the update.
  11. The 2414U 2414S and 2814U PLCs. Do not do Insteon Extended Messages. Could be one reason Smartlabs feels they are not as reliable.
  12. No problems installing it when I did it. I see in the release notes. A fix was done for the SynchroLinc. When mine gets here I will have a new toy to try out.
  13. Yes they have a 2 year warranty. Actually if you had called technical services. They may have done a cross ship of the replacement. They would take your credit card number and charge the new one if you didn't return the dud. Well you will not have to do many tests for them. You can just tell them you did a power cycle and factory reset and it still did not go off even though the LED did. Zero Ohms. Sounds like a shorted triac to me.
  14. If you want to purchase the Pro add on. Use the purchase modules choice in the help tab. After the purchase it will install by itself or at least mine did. I don't remember if you needed a certain firmware revision or higher for it to be avilable. This is fuzzy memory here, but I believe at one time Smarthome did sell the ISY99i alone.
  15. You are welcome. I remember you have the Pro version so the choices should be avilable.
  16. In the Help Tab. About choice. It will tell you if you have the Pro version. Also in the tool bar would be two green icons. One is a 11010 and the other looks like a small green battery. They allow you to delay automatic writes to devices and battery devices.
  17. The replace function will rename the new replacement and change the needed link databases in every place the original one was. So you will not have to rename the replacement switches. You don't have the Pro version do you? Pro Version allows you to hold all writes until all devices are swapped the then do them all at the sametime. You can also delay RF devices being written to.
  18. No I don't know if the ToggeLinc Dimmers had a common problem like that. It does sound like the electronics in it are still functioning for programming and answering back when commands are sent to it. After you replace it. If you have a multimeter. It would be interesting to see what the resistance between the Black Line wire and the Red Load wire is.

I wounder why I could even add it?
  20. Brian H replied to Teken's topic in ISY994
Though in the drop down list in the add a device tab. There are a few entries for PLCs and PLMs. I just added a 2412S PLM to My Lighting and could read its link database. It was not the one connected to the ISY99i and I have no idea why someone would add a PLM or older PLC to My Lighting.
  21. My guess is the triac that is the component that dims the device is shorted and is acting like a piece of wire. You could try the Factory Reset on the chance the memory has garbage in it. If you do a factory reset and then restore it from the ISY. I don't believe you have to remove it from scenes as you will just be writing all the links back when you do the restore.
  22. Brian H replied to Teken's topic in ISY994
They all work just reporting different levels of data. Device Communications Events is the Scene test event choice. You can invoke the event viewer from the Diagnostics tab and it normally defaults to Status Operation Events but you can pick others.
  23. Yes the 2413S does not have the unregulated +12 volts on the interface connector. The 2412S did. Best to verify as you did.
  24. The serial cable in the PLMs box is for users that are connecting to other devices and is part of the PLMs package. As you know not needed or used with an ISY99i.
  25. Brian H replied to lazarow's topic in ISY994
Did you set the Event Viewer to Device Communications Events or Level 3 if you have an older version?
