Don't count on it working. The BTA12-600SW. Has a 10mA Logic Level trigger. The standard one may not trigger correctly. Higher voltage or amperage rating would probably be fine. The 10mA Logic Level trigger maybe an issue. For the standard part. Mouser has the exact part. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/STMicroelectronics/BTA12-600SWRG?qs=zgJYeb29rD5h9%2F6rjSG6BQ%3D%3D

No connection between my eisy and PLM 2413S with the serial PLM adapter kit.

Can't comment on the color wires. Yes just 3 wires. If yours is working then you got it correct. -
Yes both the IRLinc Transmitter or Receiver. Are both power line only. Faded memory here. I believe they where in the drop down list with other unique modules like the motion sensors.

Thank you for checking the parts Id number. I knew it looked familiar. I believe it was in the older Lamplinc modules also. Module may have had a different wattage rating but that may have been differences in the heat sink.

I don't think it was open source. Joe Dada and Smartlabs were extremely protective. I paid for a membership in the Developers Group. With a non disclosure agreement. Then after it abruptly ended most of all the documentation did end up online. They also didn't give UDI all the needed information on some modules. Like the Siren Module. That UDI reversed engineered and got pretty close to working near 100%. No firmware files where evver given out to upgrade your presently owned modules. Though you did need a programmer to mate with the 5 pin programming internal connector. I can not comment on the present company. As I have seen nothing on good or still not giving the needed information.

Since it is dual band and has an RF section in it. You can find it in the FCC Database. Not overly clear but looked like a BTA12600S (cant see a possible letter following what I saw in the internal photos). That would be a TO-220. https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm Grantee SBP. Rest of the ID number. In this case. 2477D. Search and pick details. You should find internal and external photos. Probably more like other thing like test results and test photos. The parts list and schematics are confidential and you will not be able to find them. Should work with other ID numbers if dual band and have an RF section in them. Just a search of SBP alone should give a list of all modules in the database. Including the never released up dated PLM.

Just try to duplicate how the old one is wound and taped. -
IoX Log Showing Insteon Dimmer Module Constantly Repeating On Off

I have some power strips that also have a AC rated Capacitor across the line and load. They work good to remove power line noise but also absorb Insteon and X10 power line commands. That extension cord. Looks like it has no signal conditioning at all. Turning off load sensing may show something. Capacity of the two conductors or noise absorbed by the coiled cord. Maybe but maybe hard to pin down. -
You may also want to contact the fan manufacturer and see if they have a wireless remote available.

Openadr was standard in every ISY994i Portal Integration and Networking where purchased added modules. You can no longer purchase them and if you want to transfer it from one to a different one. The end of service post. Seemed to indicate they would do it for $125. I only used the A10/X10 module as an example. I don't know how many here actually have it. Now over on the X10 forums. Where I am a Community Advisor, I have seen some using an ISY99i or ISY994i exclusively for X10.

Especially if the load sensing feature is on. -
If the restore from a unit with the A10/X10 to one with out the A10/X10 module. It probably would go through but if the A10/X10 module's features where being used by the old ISY994i. It could cause issues. Though that module was cosmetic and allowed X10 and A10 module to be seen in the console tree. Data on the A10/X10 feature. Just the info. Being available now is over. Since the ISY994i is discontinued a few years ago. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/ISY-994i_Series_INSTEON:Enhanced_A10/X10 We have seen issues with a backup from a PRO on one with no PRO. If the scene and programming information was larger than the standard unit was using. I don't have any thoughts on the. Portal Integration module.

Did a test with my spare ISY994i. Using a backup from my main ISY994i. Spare does not have the Networking Module installed. PRO,A10/X10 are on both. Also no installed Insteon modules in the spare. The backup for the main unit did program the spare. Including the Insteon modules in the main unit. Insteon modules didn't respond to tests as the PLM on the spare has a different six digit ID. The Networking Module did not get installed from the main unit backup. Password from the main unit did transfer to the spare. As did the name of the ISY994i. As my main one was an early one called My Lighting and the spare ISY. I don't think an ISY994i that includes the PRO add on. Would be a problem. As it adds more space for programs and scenes. Control of automatic writes to changes to the system. Going the other way may make a difference if the original with PRO had more programs and scenes in it than one without the PRO.

Yes the Polisy section of the UDI Wiki shows it has serial port. Polisy supports the following PLMs: 2412S and 2413S through the DB9 connector on the back. 2413U and 2448A7 through the USB port on the back. If you have a 2413S (serial), you will need our Serial PLM Kit. My thought are if you want to use the 2413S on a USB port then the adapter is needed. Since that model is supported. Opening a ticket may get more results. https://www.universal-devices.com/contact-us/

The modules are tied to the ISY994i's UUID number. That is different for each ISY994i. If you buy a used one ask the seller exactly what it has in it. You may find a similar set of modules in the replacement. The backup has the scenes, programs and setting in it. I don't believe the backup has the firmware and installed modules. My backup files also have the title with the UUID in it and my second ISY994i has its UUID in the backup's title. I will try a test if I can. To see if a backup from one ISY994i worked on second ISY994i. If both have the same set of modules them.

5.3.4 is the last firmware version for the ISY994i. It is what I have in mine and a spare. Manually is the only way. With the firmware file. To see the whole thread. Including a link to the firmware Click on the up arrow in the post from Geddy

If you can get into the Help Info Tab on your present ISY994i. It will tell you what you now have. So you can see what the ones on the auction sites have. Like the Pro and other add on features are in them. Pro adds more link and scene space you can use in the ISY994i and also allows you to turn on and off automatic updates. Your present ISY994i may also have other ones like Networking. So features you now use will still work if you get a replacement ISY994i.

Long shot here. We have seen strange things happen when the wall wart supply starts to fail. You may want to just try one and see. ISY994i has a wide input voltage range. UDI last time I looked was selling a 12VDC 2A. My originals where 5VDC 500mA or 1A
-
The cable between the ISY994i and the RJ45 style serial port on the PLM. Is a standard network cable. So trying new one should not be too hard. Mine came with a 3' Cat5E. I am using a 6' Cat 5E from my ISY994i and the PLM. The SID message could mean the SD card in the ISY994i is corrupt or failing. There are some reports of that also.

After I create a scene. I can then control that scene in a program. Where it can be set to do things like turn on or off at preset time, dusk or dawn with even a choice like dusk +- a preset offset, days to run it. In your three way example. The scene will create the needed links and levels. So your using the switches paddles will control each other. Putting the scene in a program is not needed for it to work. Only if you wanted the scene to also be activated at a time or maybe a signal from a motion sensor.
-
If the original switch is not Insteon and has more than one built in function. The wall mounted wireless control would not work. With out changing the presently used switch. To an Insteon one and it would have to have the needed functions to control the fan and lights if they can be controlled separately. If the optional wall mount for the remote has not changed lately. Mine is designed to mount on to the wall and not on an electrical box where the remote seems to just fall into the box.
-
If they are dimmers. You can also set the On level and ramp rate of each switch when in that scene. I have my morning On scene also sounding an Insteon 2868-222 Siren Module for 6 seconds using the Siren tone not the Beep or Chime tone. Default is 30 seconds. I could also have that module in a different scene using a different set of settings. Set in the particular scene not the modules list which also has a setting choices.

I too would suspect the shorted triac if everything else still looks OK. I could not read the part number on it. In the FCC Database internal photos. It is mounted on one of the sides of the heat sink. With what looks like a rivet. It also shows a switching supply IC (LNK354GN) for running its electronics power source.

If you are using an ISY994i. The manual linking information was to be ignored. I don't have a HUB but I believe it is also recommended to ignore the manual linking information also. Modules and the controller both need links to each other to function. Some times one controller could possibly overwrite unknown links. Some modules no longer support X10 officially but may still accept an X10 address. I have mostly older modules and have both ISY99i control and my HR12A Palm Pad controls them also. Though the ISY994i doesn't see the changes. I have the optional A10/X10, Network and PRO firmware firmware add on's. Latest 5.3.4 firmware available for an ISY994i. At one time until dissolved Insteon Developers Group and the developers notes all ended up as released to the public.

If you linked the two switches with the Set Button and then added them to the ISY994i. You may have issues. As the ISY994i should always do all the linking. So it has the correct link information in it. Other wise it may cause broken and half links but I believe it maybe possible. I never tried and always used my ISY994i to do everything. Links done by your 2412N may also not be properly in your ISY994i/2413S PLM setup. The UDI WIKI has much good information in in. The ISY Cookbook is a big help along with the other helpful information and experienced users here. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page
