tjkintz Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I have an eisy that I have not used in months. I now want to use it so powered it on, upgraded and am now running 6.0.0 but I do not seen any mention of that version in the forum. I am having issues with zigbee, updating my location, connecting to UD portal, etc., but first want to know if I am running the right software. Quote
Techman Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Yes, your firmware is current 6.0.0. This is the latest release Make sure your Zigbee abnd Zwave antennas are connected to the correct connectors, if they're reversed it will cause communications issues. You can also try removing power from the eisy for about 30 seconds Quote

hart2hart Posted September 9 Posted September 9 I don't think it has been formally released yetAre you using it? Quote
hart2hart Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Yes, it's still being refinedThanks. I’ll be on lookout for announcements. Quote
tjkintz Posted September 10 Author Posted September 10 The following are my experiences until I finally gave up. Admin console sees eisy but type and version are blank. No popup for admin console, polyglot, etc. Router shows 2 IP leases with same mac address, oldest one had partial information, so I deleted it. Admin console does not find another one, so I manually added it. It then shows type, version and popup works. Admin console has unknown location. Set it in configuration and AC shows it below the buttons but sunset and sunrise are both 12:00 AM. In configuration, option to set daylight savings time is grayed out. Returning to configuration, still shows “Change Location (unknown location)”. Clicking Zigbee or Z-wave in the menu gives me “Zmatter Zigbee not responding”. I verified the antennas are correctly attached. Configuration shows Matter support Off, Zigbee and Z-Wave support Auto. Turned on all three but still not responding. UD Portal does not see eisy, says it is offline. It does see my Polisy in another location. Clicking Portals in AC shows nothing. Restated IoX. Location is unknown again but Matter, Zigbee and Z-Wave settings are still set to on. Still get the Zigbee not responding message. Rebooted eisy, no change. Configuration, Network settings are basically empty and automatic (DHCP) is grayed out. However, Help-About shows a valid My URL but shows Internet Access disabled. Since my whole goal was to add some Zigbee devices, I am dead in the water at this point. Quote

Techman Posted September 10 Posted September 10 No visible enhancements. Most likely geared towards eisy-ui 2 Quote
smithers102 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Checking in here as having unintentionally installed it as of last night She's got a long way to go. Quote
larryllix Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Is there a way to uninstall v6.0.0 and go back to v5.9.x if needed? Quote
Techman Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Yes, but it's not an easy reversal. There's really no reason to go back to 5.9.1. 1 Quote
Guy Lavoie Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I'm always leery about versions ending in 0.0. I have no real need to update yet so I'll wait until the initial issues are worked out. 3 Quote

What's being installed when people update is the early form of the eisy-ui. It's been in alpha and beta test for a few months now. Lots of feedback elsewhere. 3 Quote

smithers102 Posted Wednesday at 12:58 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:58 AM (edited) My issue was with portal connection to UD mobile. For whatever reason i could not connect and still have intermittent drop outs that resulted in literally thousands of subscriptions as it attempted to reconnect. I also cannot manage it on the admin console anymore so it sends me to use eisy-ui. Which doesn't work at all for me...WHEN i can log in i go to customize my screen but when i click to select the nodes to add to my customization I can see them, all of them, before they disappear behind some 400 connection error or whatever it is.
