Sunday at 03:42 PM2 days Hi. I am running into issues with Daylight Savings Time. British Columbia, Canada (and several other provinces) have moved to permanent Daylight Savings Time. Overnight eisy automatically turned off DST when it should not have. There doesn't seem to be an option in the Configuration screen to select Canada, Vancouver with no DST and the Daylight Savings check box on the Clock screen is greyed out so cannot change the auto DST option and in the location selection window the Daylight Savings Rule cannot be changed either.I have tried manually setting a custom time and location but there is a problem with the Timezone Offset (GMT) field such that, whenever I change it manually, the system sets it to GMT -25200, making it impossible.I have tried hard reboot but doesn't help. I am on version 6.0.4Any ideas?Thank youErikN Edited Sunday at 04:02 PM2 days by ErikN
Sunday at 04:39 PM2 days Same issue here. Can't turn off DST, can't customize offset (shows as GMT -25200?!). Also tried selecting Arizona time zone (DST off and GMT-7), but could not customize the latitude and longitude to match my actual location in Vancouver, BC. he configuration again sets the offset to GMT -25.200. Hopefully a solution is available soon as I have numerous customer systems (as well as my own system) that have programs using time of day triggers.

Sunday at 05:44 PM2 days On the staging repo eisy.ui (1.4.8), when I go to System/Configuration and click on the i at the upper right corner of the sunrise/sunset display graphic, under "Details" there is a box labelled "DST Rule" with a drop down menu that has "off" as one of the options. I haven't tested this.

And yes, the east west location will mess things up.The only fix for now is Sask TZ.
Sunday at 10:54 PM2 days In the AC under Configuration/System/Clock, I see a check box for "Daylight Saving US-Canada]. If you uncheck this does it solve your problem?

If you uncheck this does it solve your problem? It would leave you at standard time. So time would stay constant, but sunrise and sunset times would be off by about an hour.

If you uncheck this does it solve your problem? Thanks, the location field is locked to a DLS rule for Calgary so nothing can be changed. Which made sense yesterday, not today. An unlock rule to allow changes would be good. Not sure there is a setting for that.
Yesterday at 12:25 AM1 day well..it sounds like the issue that happend every time the time changes, happening to me for years, it will self correct (assuming same issue I have seen) tomorrow
Yesterday at 01:38 AM1 day Author What we need is:Capability to actually enter a value into the GMT offset field that accepts the valid input rather than setting the GMT offset value to -25,200Capability to enable or disable the DST ruleFor example, Vancouver, BC, Canada is now on permanent DST at GMT -7The only workaround right now is to set location to Calgary, AB, Canada to get the correct time, and then add a +1 hour offset to any timers that use Sunrise or Sunset, which is a real pain ☹️ Erik
Yesterday at 02:16 AM1 day this is so ridiculous! every time DST changes this is an issue, duh, even my most stupid smart swith can handle this!!
Yesterday at 03:52 AM1 day Author A fix was pushed out this evening (thank you UD for quick response!) so it's working properly for me now w.r.t. correct current time and correct sunrise/sunset times based on section of Vancouver, BC, Canada.Hopefully others are finding similar success?Fingers crossed this won't happen again in the spring when many go on DST while some of are / will already be.

Is there an EISY update that I missed?
Yesterday at 08:25 AM1 day The fix ErikN mentioned was pushed as a separate update rather than a full ISY/eisy firmware release, so it may not show up the way you'd expect. Worth checking the release notes or changelog for the timezone/DST correction and confirming your unit actually pulled it. If Vancouver still reads -8 GMT with DST enabled after that, the update likely didn't apply on your device. I'd verify the version first before assuming something was missed. The fix ErikN mentioned was pushed as a separate update rather than a full ISY/eisy firmware release, so it may not show up the way you'd expect. Yesterday at 10:55 AM1 day There is a bug in the Admin Console for offset, please use eisy-ui on the latest firmware. Let us know if issues still exist after changing timezone/DST settings when the options look like they do in the image below.

The drag and drop works, so my setting is back on Calgary.Unfortunately I'm still an hour out. I did reboot, but no change.Calgary is in Alberta and has moved to permanent DST. Perhaps a new rule is required? It is currently 7:20am Edited yesterday at 01:22 PM1 day by mmb
Yesterday at 04:20 PM1 day I am having the same issue. I live just outside of Calgary. I opened a ticket for this yesterday. I was told to use eisy-ui and click the "i" and select "Off" under the DST Rule and then adjust the Time Zone Offset manually. I did this:However, after clicking save the incorrect time was displayed still (one hour behind):When I clicked on the "i" again it had reverted to UCT -7:Its frustrating when there are so many time of day programs running.K

22 hours ago22 hr This will be coming to Ontario some year soon. Applied and approved in 2020 but some board is waiting for Quebec and NY to co-operate also.

An example of being past the logical time zone boundary..... Neighbours, previously from Thunder Bay, complained about putting the kids to bed at 10:00 PM while the sun was still shining on their beds.
