Hi JMC, Yes, precisely. With kind regards, Michel

Hi hbsh01, Yes, as long as you already have a PRO (need invoice) OR you have purchased the PRO module. With kind regards, Michel

Hello joefly, Please send an email to support@universal-devices.com and I'll forward it to our contact at SmartHome. I am not sure which version works with ISY but there's only ONE that works and we have get SmartHome to flash your unit with that version. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Jeff, Not at all. Can you tell me what type of errors you had upgrading? With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi raydoc, What firewall software is running on your laptop? The problem is that, whatever it is, UDP packets are being blocked and that's why Admin Console cannot find ISY on the network. With kind regards, Michel

Hello JeffWLeach, If you are using File | Enable Internet Access, in all likelihood with every router reboot/ISP change in IP address, you will lose your remote access capabilities. As such, I do recommend dong File | Disable Remote Access and then follow instructions here to create port forwarding rules manually:http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Remotely_Connect_to_Your_ISY#Configuring_a_Non-UPnP_Router . All ports are TCP (and not UDP). With kind regards, Michel

Release 3.3.7 (RC4) Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi cats, Apple finally gave up on maintaining Java and let Oracle take over. As such, you will have to go to Oracle's website to install Java on your MAC: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Mike, Irrigation requirement is NOT coming from Weatherbug. It's calculated in ISY and it basically means what it says: the amount of water required. You cannot have a negative number for the amount of water required since you are NOT going to go and extract water from your soil. The negative number is already in Water Deficit Yesterday which is taken into consideration for days ahead. With kind regards, Michel

Hi waffles, ISY gets that information from the router directly but IF AND ONLY IF you use File | Enable Internet Access. This method is really not that reliable because UPnP configuration is pretty much volatile and - as soon as the router the rebooted - you will lose the information. It's always best to use dynamic dns + setup port forwarding manually in the router: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... PnP_Router With kind regards, Michel

Hi Michael, Thanks so very much for that snippet. I am going to forward it to our contact at SmartHome and hopefully we'll find a resolution. With kind regards, Michel

Michael, We need to stay focused! There are thing you "wish" to have and then there are things that are "not working". Let's figure out what's "not working" first. So, you DISABLED all your programs and the set point still changes on its own, correct? If so, why don't we get SmartHome to fix it first? Once the ghost syndrome is resolved, we'll investigate your suggested enhancements. With kind regards, Michel

Question regarding 2 programs which is least labor intensive
Michel Kohanim replied to TJF1960's topic in ISY994
Hi Tim, It should not make any difference at all. Events are events be it a variable, program state, device events, etc. The only thing that might take time is if you save the variables each time they change. And, even then, if you are not changing the variable every second, I do not think it would have any impact. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi waffles, ISY is not privy to your DYN DNS configuration/information and thus you are not doing anything wrong. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello south, Would you please send a screenshot to support@Universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Michael, The best way to test this is to disable all programs in ISY that do anything to your thermostat. If there are NO programs in ISY, then ISY cannot be doing anything to the thermostat on its own. If disabling your programs stops the intermittent changes to your thermostats, then please do send us your programs and we'll surely take a look and, in case of a bug, fix it. With kind regards, Michel

Hello hart2hart, You got it! But, for most, it would be quite sufficient to simply restore their 99i backup on 994 and start running immediately. With kind regards, Michel

Hi gatchel, Prices are in our Store link: http://www.homeorchestrator.com/UDStore ... ctPurchase With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello gatchel, You are 100% correct in your observations: we have reached a limit of memory on 99i and thus - and in most likelihood - 3.3.7 might become our last official release for 99i (we may have some follow on bug fixes depending on the code size). It is for this reason that we have provided an unprecedented upgrade price of $109 to 994i. This said, if your system is running properly, you really do NOT have to upgrade. With kind regards, Michel

Hi iostream212, You need information on OpenADR or ZS/Smart Grid? All CA utilities are going to have HAN projects next year (2013) and, at the moment, they will be using SmartGrid (not OpenADR) to send pricing information. This may change though ... With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello iostream212, PG&E does not yet support OpenADR for residential venues. This said, if you have a 994i ZS, you might be able to get on the HAN pilot starting in 1/15. With kind regards, Michel

Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 3.3.7 (RC4) release! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. This is a very minor release fixing a minor bug in 994iZS series and hopefully one which will become our official release. Know Issues - None Things to test: -List from 3.3.6: -- SSL Communications with ELK which requires ISY994 PRO Series (Configuration instructions) -- File | Themes -- Accessibility using Alt key and keyboard accelerators -- Outdoor On/Off Module 2634_222 -- SwitchLinc Dimmer 2478D -New -- 994iZS ... when dropped from the meter, no longer binds to clusters Important Information 1. Important Brultech module is no longer supported on ISY99 Series. Please contact sales@universal-devices.com for options 2. Important NetBios removed from ISY99 Series. You can no longer access ISY by going to http://isy on Windows 3. Important If you have a 994, you will need to re-install a certificate. Please review ISY994 Series Advanced Network Security Configuration for more information. 4. Important We have removed SSLv2 support (very insecure) from ISY99/ISY994. Unfortunately, the only protocol supported by MAC with Java 1.6 is SSLv2. As such, you MUST upgrade your MAC to Java 1.7 (Software Update) 4. Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. 5. If you are using the Irrigation Module and are upgrading from releases prior to 3.1.5, you must edit the programs using Irrigation variables and save the programs again. Irrigation module is no longer on promotion 6. Upgrading from 3.1.3 and below: If you are using WeatherBug Module's Rain Today in your programs, please note that the precision has changed from 1/10 to 1/100 and thus your programs might not run properly 7. For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables forum. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99i Series ISY 994i Series ISY 994i Z & ZS Series 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet --- Security Warning: Due to recent Java security problems, it's best to always use method #d b. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application c. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.7 - applet --- Security Warning: Due to recent Java security problems, it's best to always use method #d d. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3.3.7/admin.jnlp - Java application Best method to access Admin Console Dashboard - http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/3. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel

Release 3.3.6 (RC3) Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi Mike, That's very normal. It allows you to enter URL of remote ISYs as well. So, if this is on your laptop, you can enter the URL for your ISY at home and don't have to open the browser to get to it. With kind regards, Michel -
How to get thermostat to notify me of temperature drop?
Michel Kohanim replied to starmanj's topic in ISY994
Hi Starmanj, Thank you. The link limit for status updates is different from the total links limit supported by the PLM. Next test is to remove the thermostat and add it back. With kind regards, Michel -
Hello bjhanson3, Change control to status and let me know the outcome please. With kind regards, Michel
