  1. Hi Travis, Bad answers: not what I was hoping to hear!!! At the moment, what I recommend is this: 1. Clear your Error Log so that we can start fresh 2. Reboot your Linksys Router (not the NetGear one) even though it does not have Linksys firmware 3. Let's wait for it to happen again 4. Send me the Error Log directly (support@universal-devices.com) With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Rich S., Can you tell me: 1. What does BI Web Server expect 2. What you are having ISY send it 3. What's the error you are getting. If no error, then you might want to use WireShark to see if there are any network errors With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Travis, I am so very sorry to hear. We did have one other report of this issue which, apparently, had to do with some device/program interactions. Still unsure as to the exact reason but it's now fixed. Questions: 1. Do you have any devices to which you cannot communicate (i.e. red ! marks next to them)? 2. If you look at your logs, do you see a lot of X10 activity (if any) right prior to the hang? 3. Is your router Linksys Exxx series? If so, are you certain that you have the latest firmware on it? 4. If you have DirecTV, has anything changed on your setup? With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hello SunSentry, Thanks so very much for the feedback. The are some "Java" differences between 3.2.6 and 3.3.4 the most important of which is the compiler: 3.2.6 was compiled with a 1.6 compiler whereas 3.3.4 is compiled with a 1.7 compiler. So, I am wondering that perhaps you're still on Java 1.6? Or, better yet, you are not on Java 1.7.9? Would you please check your Java version? With kind regards, Michel
  5. Xathros, and oberkc, thanks so very much for the feedback! Issacsim, we should have ZWave/alpha very very soon. This said, it will be in alpha with limited support for limited set of devices to begin with. So, I do believe the same as oberkc: your decision should be based on which protocol (INSTEON vs. ZWave) would become your primary protocol and which the secondary. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello Issacsim, I can only provide you with an analogy since I do not know much about Vera apart from it being based on openWRT: You would use a 10 ton truck to haul 10 ton things. Linux is a 10 ton thing which requires all the horse power + more. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello Stephan, I am so very sorry for the lack of information. Yes, we should be able to do that. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello beachfront71, Yes, your backup includes your userid/password and thus every time you restore it, you will get your old userid/password. What you might want to do instead of doing a factory reset, is to reset your password. The process is the same (press/hold reset button) but the duration is about 10 seconds: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... d/Password With kind regards, Michel
  9. johnnyt, Upgrade is not going to help any of these symptoms. 3.3.5 might help a little with download speeds. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi flsenior, The first thing I recommend to check your Program Summary tab and see whether or not any programs get activated. I suspect you have programs that are being activated/deactivated. Secondly, you would want to do a restore ON THE DEVICE that's turning on/off randomly. And, finally, if KPL version is 2A or 2D, then it's the KPL itself and it must be replaced. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi johnnyt, Not noticeably but just a little smoother. The CPU is the same and so is the clock See above 99i will go to maintenance mode next year: only bug fixes The only reason you would want to upgrade now instead of next year is the incredibly low price ($109 for 994i). Otherwise, you can wait and upgrade if and only if necessary With kind regards, MIchel
  12. matapan, There are no Zigbee locks. But, ISY994 will support ZWave locks (with an additional/optional ZWave dongle/kit). With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Andy, QueryAll is only there for cases where you need more accurate status information especially if you use a lot of Dim/Bright AND if you use status of devices in programs. Xathros, you are 100% correct. I had completely forgotten. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello Issacsim, Unfortunately we do not have any such plans yet unless the demand gets high. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi johnnyt, It has an IR input and thus you can use your RC5 remote to command and control your devices in ISY through programs. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Thanks oberkc ... I am not sure why time settings were wiped out. We should look into it. Andy, in addition, you will need to change our beloved QueryAll program to point to the new ISY (My Lighting if you are upgrading from 99). With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi johnsmal, Self signed certificates are not trusted by most browsers and thus the need for all the approvals along the way. This said, 512 is definitely NO LONGER secure. Please use at least 1024. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello MarkJames, Those errors are ISY's attempts in configuring your router for remote access. Please do either of the following: 1. File | Disable Internet Access 2. Telnet to ISY, login, and then issue the following at the prompt: DI With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Andy, Thank you. Doesn't the screen scroll up/down? MAC has been nothing but a nightmare lately. johncrab, Thanks so very much for the update! With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi Xathros, Thanks so very much for clarification. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi johnsmal, I really do not think the certificate has been installed. Would you please check ISY's certificate in your computer (the one that works) and make sure it's indeed a 1024 bit certificate? With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello hbsh01, You have two choices: 1. Keep the modules with your 99i and purchase anew for 994 2. Once you have the 994, send an email to sales@universal-devices.com: Subject: Transfer Modules Body: The UUID for your 99i The UUID for your 994i Option 2 basically moves the modules from 99i to 994i. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hello hbsh01, You get to keep both as long as you actually "keep" the 99 and not sell it or give it as a gift to some one else. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hello johnnyt, Throughput of downloading a large file from ISY is about 590 KB/S under heavy load ... closer to 700 KB/S with no load; about 200 KB/S using AES128/https 1024. The problem is that programs are not compressed into a large file. Admin Console is actually downloading individual programs in which case you also need to take into account TCP connect times as well. In any case, hopefully our performance improvements are going to help a little. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi Andy, Is this only for folders or do you have the same issue with drag/drop into scenes (you can make the window smaller to test)? With kind regards, Michel
