@GQuack It's recommended that you update the ISY to 5.3.4 prior to the migration. You should also update the Polisy to the latest firmware prior to the move, Here's the migration notes: Polisy:User Guide - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

After So Many Years Still Cant Connect to ISY
Techman replied to ccclapp's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
Clear your Java cache including checking the box all "installed applications" then run click on this link: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp This will install the ISY launcher on your desktop. Are you running Windows or a Mac? What's your ISY firmware version? -
Anyone use a light sensing device to trigger Insteon signal?
Techman replied to raymondjiii's topic in ISY994
Take a look at the Aeotec multisensor 6. It's a Z-wave device if you're so equipped. -
Try using your browser and https:// (the address of your polisy) i.e. https://192.168.1.240

@Michaelv The following is from the Polisy documentation. The 2412U isn't listed as supported Polisy supports the following PLMs: 2412S and 2413S through the DB9 connector on the back. 2413U and 2448A7 through the USB port on the back. If you have a 2413S (serial), you will need a cable that looks like this
-
The 2413S has a serial interface and needs to be connected to the DB9 jack on the Polisy using the cable that was furnished with the PLM. If you don't have the cable, you can purchase one here: PLM Serial Cable - Smartenit The easy migration path would be to use your existing 2413S PLM which is already populated with your devices. Smarthome is back in business with a new owner and hopefully they will start manufacturing the PLMs again. Read the Smarthome thread for the latest updates

The power supplies from your numerous devices created noise on the powerline. It's not an uncommon occurrence. The best workaround is to use a powerline noise filter between the powerbar and the outlet. Insteon use to make one called the Filterlinc which is currently unavailable. X10pro makes one that should work @ x10pro.com

Polyglot settings: Your Polyglot Web port should be 443 ISY settings: Port should be 8080 MQTT Settings: MQTT Port should be 1883
-
What do you mean by " not getting to the admin console"? Does the ISY launcher open? Try rebooting Polyglot Also try removing power from the Polisy then let it reboot

For the 500 series dongle the only version available for end users is 6.8.1 It's possible that another release went out to beta testers

Currently there is no migration option for moving Z-wave devices from the ISY to the Polisy. You'll have to exclude the devices from the ISY then include them into the Polisy However, there's the possibility that when UD releases their new internal Z-wave board later this year for the Polisy it may include a migration option from the ISY 500 dongle to the Polisy.
-
If you have Insteon devices on the ISY that you intend to migrate over to the Polisy then it's recommended that you update the ISY firmware to 5.3.4 prior to migrating. If you're only using Z-wave devices, then it's a moot issue. It's possible with the upcoming new UDI Z-wave board, that should be released about September, that it may include a migration option from the ISY 500 to the Polisy 700. Taking that into consideration I would wait the few months to see if those options materialize.
-
First you should upgrade your Polisy to the 5.4.4 firmware After the upgrade you'll see an option to upgrade your bios, which you should do. There's no migration option for Z-wave from the ISY to the Polisy. You'll have to exclude your Z-wave devices from the ISY then Include them in the Polisy. Keep track of any programs that include Z-wave devices as you'll have to manually update them. The Polisy only supports the Z-wave 700 dongle. About September UDI will be releasing a new internal Z-wave board with numerous new features that are not currently available with the external Z-wave 700 dongle. Be sure to first read the Support thread for ISY on Polisy for updated info.

Being that the IOLinc is a single band device, powerline only, you could have some noise on the powerline or the two legs of your powerline are not properly bridged. The best way to resolve this is to install a dual band device within close proximity of the IOLinc and/or eliminate the noise on your powerline If you used the same PLM for the Polisy as you did for the ISY then the Polisy is not the issue.
-
Try doing a restore device. Are you able to query the IOLinc?
-
Glad to hear it appears to be resolved. When you update the repeaters, start with the one closest to the ISY and then work out from there.
-
@DAlter01 Have you tried removing power from the ISY then power up again to see if the problem clears up? It's strange that the devices seem to work until you reopen the admin console. Aeotec has the Z-stick which I used for updating my Aeotec devices. Here's the link: Z-Stick Gen5+ – Aeotec

The Aeotec repeater 7 is a repeater/signal amplifier and shouldn't be having issues, especially the one closest to your ISY. Try excluding it from the ISY then Include it to see if the 1011 gets resolved. Keep in mind that the repeaters will be constrained by the older Z-wave devices in your network (the 300 and 500 series) so you won't be taking full advantage of the 700 series capabilities. The Polisy uses the 700 series Z-wave, you might want to consider upgrading to a Polisy later this year once their new 700 Z-wave/Matter board is available Update: looks like our posts just crossed. Glad to hear you're up and running again.
-
You should have at least one repeater within about 20 feet of your ISY. Keep in mind that these are RF only devices and should be installed in an open area with little obstruction and as high up as possible to insure good RF signal coverage. The green 1011 indicates that there are pending writes to that device so it's possible that your Z-wave mesh network has some weak coverage areas.
-
What Z-wave dongle do you have installed in your ISY, the 300 or 500 series?
-
What is your ISY firmware version? Clear your Java cache including applications then download the ISY launcher https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp This will place the ISY Launcher icon on your desktop
-
It's possible that the device had some preinstalled link tables. Do a factory reset on the device then a restore device from the ISY What's your ISY firmware and UI? Is your ISY the pro version, which as a larger link capacity.
