ERROR: Cannot determine device link table address
Techman replied to oskrypuch's topic in IoX Support
Try doing a factory reset on the device then a link -
@shunsader Are you planning on using Z-wave or Insteon or both? Do you have the ISY994 and a serial PLM, or a Polisy and PLM? The 300 series dongle has since been replaced with the 500 series For the ISY with the 300 series you should use the 5.0.16c firmware. For the ISY with the 500 series dongle you should use the 5.3.4 firmware

Did you try rebooting the Polisy with the dongle plugged in? This adapter work well with the Polisy, and keeps the dongle free from obstructions https://www.amazon.com/USB-Male-Female-Extension-Adapter/dp/B07QYS3FD8/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=usb%2Bright%2Bangle%2Badapter&qid=1651770873&sprefix=usb%2Bright%2Bangle%2Badapter%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-5&th=1

@BMersereau It's highly unusual for an ISY994 to fail, what could fail is the power supply or the SD card, both of which can easily be replaced. What exactly are you experiencing with the ISY?
-
The ISY uses an internal Z-wave dongle. If when you bought the ISY it included Z-wave then you either have the 300 or 500 series dongle included.. The Polisy uses an external Z-wave dongle, currently the Zooz ZST10 700, which you could have ordered it with the Polisy or you can buy one from either UDI or Amazon. 80 feet is pushing the limits between your controller and your first Z-wave device. The 700 series devices have a much greater range than the 500 or 300 series. It also depends what the first Z-wave device closest to the controller is, 300, 500, or 700 series device.

@oskrypuch Do you know if it installs a separate node for each sound option?
-
What do you see when you open the ISY Launcher?
-
Clear your Java cache, including applications, then download the ISY Launcher https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
-
Did you remove the Z-wave dongle while the Polisy was powered up?
-
Did you follow the installation instructions? Is your ethernet cable plugged into the port closest to the DB9 connector. Can you access the Polisy from the admin console?
-
Do a reboot
-
If you pick one up, could you post a review. It looks promising, especially with the ability to add custom sounds

Your best bet would be to search on the Z-wave Alliance Catalog of Certified Z-Wave Products for U.S. / Canada / Mexico (z-wavealliance.org)

If the fluorescent tubes use a ballast, then it would be considered an inductive load. Some of the newer fluorescent tube replacements use the led technology.

@Tim McDermott The UDI Wiki for the Polisy shows the following: INSTEON Support Connect the PLM to your Polisy Polisy supports the following PLMs: 2412S and 2413S through the DB9 connector on the back. 2413U and 2448A7 through the USB port on the back. If you have a 2413S (serial), -
@marvel Try rebooting your ISY Did you also upgrade your UI so it matches your ISY firmware version?

ISY Finder/Launcher doesn't find Polisy Pro
Techman replied to lalang's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
Clear your java cache, including applications, then download the ISY Launcher] https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp then Reboot the Polisy -
The additional Z-wave nodes are due to an anomaly between the Z-wave device and your controller. As oskrypuch mentioned, create a folder and move the nodes you aren't using into that folder, that way you won't see them.
