  1. @shm It's possible your PLM is failing. What's the 4 digit date code and version number? The good news is that Insteon now has PLMs in stock, so you might want to order a backup replacement.
  2. Unplug you PLM, wait about 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Is the green led on the PLM lit? In the admin console, click on TOOLS, DIAGNOSTICS, PLM STATUS, does it show the PLM as connected?
  3. @DRousseau Currently, does one of the switches turn on the load, or do both switches not turn on the load? If one switch turns the load on but the other doesn't then you need to create a scene with both switches as controllers in the scene.

Remove power from the EISY, then power it up, wait a minute, then press the front button ONCE. Wait about 10 minutes while the eisy updates. Clear your Java cache, including installed applications and then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Are you using the same PLM for both the ISY994 and the EISY? What is the firmware version on your ISY994?
  5. The red wire coming from the switch provides power to the load. What do the switches control and how the load getting its power?
  6. Try removing power from the eisy for a few minutes. Clear your java cache including all installed applications, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp After it powers up, press the front button ONCE, then wait about 10 minutes before you try to access the eisy.
  7. It looks like you have your Rx and Tx connections reversed. Also make sure that Insteon is enabled in your configuration screen. Let me know if that resolves your issue
  8. Use HTML and at the end of each line add "<BR><BR>" , which is a CR

Check to make sure your password is entered in PG3 under system You can also try removing power from the EISY, this worked for me.
  10. Take a look at this link. Under these circumstances the EISY would not be aware of the ALL ON event INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  11. To resolve the EISY PGx login issue, either press the button on the front of the EISY once and wait about 5 minutes while the EISY updates. If that doesn't work, then remove power from the EISY and then power it back up.
  12. You would need something like this. https://www.amazon.com/Aeotec-AEZW150-Bypass-Z-Wave-Dimmer/dp/B017BK1MIA The led bulbs are controlled by a built-in electronic circuit which does not allow enough voltage to pass to the 2474DWH switch, which has a triac dimmer, for it to properly work.
  13. @bpwwer @DennisC In addition to the 401 error I was getting, lately every time I accessed the EISY in the AC I would get a popup that there were updates available and to press update packages, which I did, but the message would keep reappearing each time I opened the AC. I finally got both problems resolved by pressing the button on the front of the EISY once.
  14. Here's the error message I get when I try to access PGx prior to removing power. An EISY reboot doesn't resolve the error. Any suggestions?
  15. Almost every time I update packages on the EISY I'm then unable to access PGx. The only way I've found to resolve this is to remove power from the EISY.
  16. What device is the screenshot from? Are on a ISY994, Polisy or EISY What are your firmware and UI versions?
  17. I add a similar issue with the Multisensor 6. Interview didn't resolve it. I finally got it resolved by removing the device from the eisy and re-adding it.

  19. To use the serial PLM on the eisy you can purchase the serial to USB cable conversion kit from the UD Store, or purchase the individual items from Amazon, Serial PLM Kit - Universal Devices (universal-devices.com) DB9 to RJ45 converter (Amazon Part) RS232 to USB converter (Amazon Part – Pinout ) 3ft Ethernet cable

Thank you, Ken and the Insteon team Feedback Form Link: https://www.insteon.com/general-feedback UPDATE: I just spoke with Insteon to inquire about the upcoming PLM "hardware improvements" The answer I received was that the link capacity remains unchanged, and they had no info on the hardware improvements.
  21. @ShawnW I just ran some more tests on the Smart Switch 7 Switch 7. By changing Param 21 (Watt report Threshold) to 10, the switch reported the on/off load change within 2 to 3 seconds. So it will most likely work for your application.
  22. Are the switches in a scene? Are they linked together? What are you using as a controller? A double tap will always turn the load on to 100%, a single tap will turn the load on to the value set in the switch that is currently turning on the load.
  23. @SHM What is the address of the switch you're trying to add? Is it a new dual band switch that you're trying to add? Do you have other dual band devices in your system? Are the 2 legs of your powerline bridged using dual band devices?
  24. The error message you're getting indicates that the PLM is unable to communicate with the switch. What is the 6-digit address of the switch you're trying to add as sometimes the address can be misread. If the address is correct then I would focus on possible noise on the powerline, Have you recently added any new electronics or devices that might be causing interference?
  25. It might be your PLM or it could be a communication issue between the PLM and your device(s) Here's some communication troubleshooting tips: INSTEON Signal / Noise Troubleshooting - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
