  1. @smarthome_newbie What are your ISY firmware and UI versions? What version of the Zwave dongle are you running, 300 or 500? Early versions of the siren had compatible issues with some versions of the ISY firmware
  2. Try clearing your Java cache, including applications, then download the ISY launcher. If that doesn't resolve the problem then you may need to also install the 32 bit Java, which is Version 8, Update 331.
  3. This is the download for the ISY launcher, which is the one you should use. Be sure to clear your java cache including applications before you install the launcher When the launcher opens you can click on either LAN or Cloud access to the ISY start.jnlp
  4. In the Polygot setup window, The ISY address should be that of the Polisy and not the ISY?
  5. After the upgrade did you delete your java cache, including applications and then download the ISY Launcher. The correct link is below. https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  6. Your IOLinc is a fairly recent version. Your hex address is clear, so there's no chance of any digits being misread. Delete the device from the ISY Do a factory reset on the device by unplugging it, then hold down the set button while you plug it in. After a few seconds you'll get a long beep, continue holding in the set button until the beep stops. In the admin console go to Link management, New Insteon device. type in the 6 digit hex address and click OK. The ISY should auto discover and install the correct device.
  7. What is the 6 digit hex address of the device xx.xx.xx ?
  8. On the Polygot settings page, verify that you have the correct parameters for the Polyglot web port and for the ISY settings
  9. Sometimes you just end up with phantom nodes, if you find that you don't need them put them in a folder.
  10. First try rebooting the ISY. Did you follow the upgrade instructions? Upgrading to this version may require a lot of manual intervention including verifying scenes, programs and program settings are correct. In some cases it will be easier to rebuild your network.
  11. Did you do a factory reset on the IOLinc before you tried to link it? "Cannot determine Insteon engine”, means the PLM is unable to communicate with the device. If you linked it to the ISY using a different device type, there could be unforeseen consequences. Open/close sensor is a battery operated device and should not be used to link a hardwired device. What is the address of your IOLinc xx.xx.xx, as it's possible you may have typed in the wrong address. It's easy to misconstrue the 8 and B
  12. Did you follow these instructions? ISY-99i/ISY-26 INSTEON:Replacing/Formatting an SD Card - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  13. Sometimes you end up with extra nodes when you install a new Z-wave device. It's an anomaly between the ISY and Z-wave devices. You can create a new folder, call it unused nodes, and park those unused nodes in the folder.
  14. What is your ISY firmware and UI version? What z-Wave dongle are you using, 300, 500 I've found that the repeater should be about 20 feet from the ISY as the ISY Z-wave dongle doesn't have an external antenna which can reduce the coverage area of the signal. Not sure about the NWI/NWE option. You could send an email to Aeotec support, they are very responsive. Also make sure you have the latest firmware updates for you Z-wave devices.
  15. The restore option is not applicable when you're moving over from the Hub. You need to treat this as a brand-new install. You should factory reset all your devices and the PLM then Install them one at a time Here's the Polisy instructions: Polisy:User Guide - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com) Make sure that your polisy firmware and your UI are the same version. Take a look at the attached ISY Cookbook, it should answer most of your questions. If you still have questions someone is always here on the forum to answer them. ISY Cookbook.pdf
  16. You also might try rebooting the Polisy
  17. This is what some of us are using. It frees up the second usb port and moves the Zwave dongle to a better location: USB 3.0 Adapter 90 Degree Male to Female Combo Vertical Up and Down Angle Coupler Connector by Oxsubor : Electronics (amazon.com) Not sure the Polisy would support a wi-fi adapter but the pro version has built-in wi-fi. You could also use the Polisy's network resources to talk to wi-fi enabled devices.
  18. Set up your leak sensors as you would any other battery-operated device. Put the sensor into linking mode then click on New Insteon device in the linking window of the admin console. It will auto discover the device. Make sure only one battery operated device is in the linking mode at any one time or you could get corrupted links
  19. Just did the PG3 RC1 update From the admin console I'm able to log into PG2, but when I try to log into PG3 I get an http error. Polyglot web port is 443, ISY port is 8080
  20. @Michel Kohanim I realize you have a full plate, but was wondering if the Z-wave migration from ISY to Polisy, and Zwave backup, is currently in development, If so, do you have an approximate timeline?
  21. Thanks, I missed that. In that case if he has the 300 board he should upgrade to the 500 for better performance and range
  22. The links for a scene reside in the devices themselves. You could remove the PLM and the scenes would still work. If you're having trouble with scenes try doing a restore device for each device in the scene. That will rebuild their link tables and may help. Troubleshooting is a trial-and-error process. You could pull out the set button on the devices and/or unplug them one at a time in order to narrow down the offending device.
  23. No need to exclude a device if it hasn't been previously linked. i.e., if a device was linked to the ISY994 and you wanted to move that device over to the Polisy you would first exclude it from the ISY then Include it in the Polisy. This removes the link tables from the previous controller and includes them in the new controller. In rare instances, if a device won't install, do an exclude then include.
  24. Do you have a mixture of Insteon and Z-wave, Insteon doesn't have a "heal" Some of your devices the older single band devices and might be creating noise on your powerline. Take a look at your error log to see if there's anything there that could be problematic. You should also verify that both legs of your powerline are bridged. Take a look at these troubleshooting tips: INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  25. The older single band devices could be somewhat problematic. The dual band, also known as I2cs, had improved firmware and hardware. I've had situations where an older device failed and created noise on the powerline which interfered with the Insteon signals. Take a look at the troubleshooting section on the UDI Wiki. TVs, UPS, and other electronic equipment can create noise on the powerline. You can eliminate the noise using a powerline filter. CFL bulbs can also cause problems. Also take a look at your error logs for any possible problems.
