I think a lot of us are treading water waiting to see what direction Insteon takes. Their new Nokia branded Insteon products have been delayed and may or may not be compatible with the legacy Insteon products. I'm currently using Insteon and Zwave. The Zwave products are somewhat limited but with the 700 series coming out shortly there may be more options on the horizon.

All my LI battery operated devices also show 100% until they are about to lose their charge, then they quickly degrade and their less than 100% status will then show in the ISY Write a program that sends you a text or email if the battery level is less than 100%. That will give you a heads up when the battery is about to fail.

If you're using lithium ion batteries they usually maintain their rated voltage then drop off rapidly when exhausted, one day they'll display a 100% then the next day it might show 70%

On the Zooz support site search for advanced settings. The settings vary by firmware version.

Perform the "4 tap test" to confirm that both legs of your powerline are bridged. This works with the range extenders and most of the newer modules Instructions are attached. 4 Tap test.pdf

ISY is Not Seeing Insteon Events
Techman replied to EVictory's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
It's an RF only device, most likely no longer sold or supported by Smartlabs. Not sure if the ISY or Polisy would even support it. -
What is your ISY and UI firmware versions. They must be the same for everything to work properly.

ISY is Not Seeing Insteon Events
Techman replied to EVictory's topic in New user? Having trouble? Start here
Try doing a restore device on one of the wired devices that's acting up. A restore device will write the link tables stored in the ISY to that device which may correct your problem. -
That's the correct zwave module for your ISY. Be sure to do a full zwave backup with your current Zwave dongle before doing the hardware upgrade. You'll also need to upgrade your ISY firmware and UI, to 5.3.4, when you do your hardware upgrade. Depending on your current ISY firmware you may have to modify some of your programs and scenes

Is there a cable or adapter available from the DB9 to the RJ45 on the 2413S PLM or do we have to make one? Will this one work? https://www.amazon.com/COOSO-Serial-Female-Ethernet-Console/dp/B01MCVC81A/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=db9%2Bto%2Brj45%2Bcable&qid=1634759651&qsid=142-1930662-3771527&s=electronics&sr=1-4&sres=B07R9JV9X3%2CB01MCVC81A%2CB08V539JMQ%2CB07DCPVLBC%2CB01MF9F7HF%2CB00006IRQA%2CB01AFNBC3K%2CB0811RHPLJ%2CB08JLYLG9S%2CB001S2PYVY%2CB07PDTJDLJ%2CB00HUZ6OMQ%2CB01N91YKVF%2CB00TWIOGVA%2CB07R5D174V%2CB00SWPR4VI%2CB075V1RGQK%2CB0753HBT12%2CB0774JV2QQ%2CB07MYQPYKR&srpt=ELECTRONIC_CABLE&th=1

Which Polisy port(s) will support the serial PLM. If its only the DB9 port will a cable be available?
-
Nice enhancement. Any timeline update on migrating an ISY to the Polisy.? How long before the Polisy will be able to support Zwave. Are the 700 series dongles available?
-
When you update from 4.xx to 5.x.x it requires some user intervention. Did you read the update instructions. Click on the image below. You also should verify that both your Firmware and UI are the same version. It's also possible that one of your programs is in a loop.

Either that or someone bought up the inventory. I'd keep an eye on their website

Unable to set or query device parameters on Z-wave Devices
Techman replied to scrutch's topic in Z-Wave - Series 300/500
If they're battery operated then you would be unable to query or set parameters unless the device is in the linking mode. -
You can't restore a PLM with ISY firmware that doesn't support a PLM. Before you dig yourself deeper in a hole, try installing the firmware I suggested.
-
It appears that you installed the incorrect firmware update that doesn't support the PLM. This is the one you need which supports the PLM and which will install 5.3.4. After the update clear your java cache including applications and install a new version of the ISY finder. SY 994i Series including Z-Wave support
-
After you did the restore did you clear your Java cache including applications and then download the ISY launcher? There isn't an upgrade for your zwave device beyond the 4.5.5 that you currently have which is why you probably got that error message. A factory reset on the ISY will delete all your programs and devices, you'll be starting fresh. A reboot of the ISY would not effect programs or devices.
-
Not quite sure what your status is now. Are you starting from scratch with no devices or programs? If you have the 300 ZW dongle the current ISY firmware won't support it. 5.0.16C is the highest version that still supports the 300 series ZW. You may also have to factory reset your Zwave dongle. The 4.1.1 ISY firmware version had a bug that corrupted the backup if that's what you previously had.
-
What version of the ISY firmware and UI are you running, are both versions the same?
-
Sounds more like a router or a firewall issue, did you check to see if there's any firmware updates available for your router?
-
Have you tried rebooting your router?
