  1. Here is the troubleshooting guide from the Wiki. Scroll down until you find your issue. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Troubleshooting_2
  2. I would suggest starting with Java as follows: Admin Console icon does not appear on the desktop Close all your browsers Go to System Preferences | Java to get to Java Control Panel Click on Delete Files and make sure you check Applications Click on the Settings Button Make sure Keep temporary files on my computer is checked Copy the directory under Location Open up Finder and delete the above directory under Location Close Java Control Panel Open a browser and retry the Admin Console (JNLP) URL If that doesn't correct all the issues, try: Java applications are blocked by your security settings Close all your browsers Go to System Preferences | Java to get to Java Control Panel Click on Delete Files and make sure you check Applications Click on the Settings Button Make sure Keep temporary files on my computer is checked Click on the Security tab on the top Click on Restore Security Prompts and then click on Restore All button on the ensuing dialog Click on the Edit Site List Click on the Add button Enter https://isy.universal-devices.com followed by hitting the Return key on the keyboard. Accept the warning Click on the OK button Followed by: admin.jnlp does not start the Admin Console If Java is indeed installed, the reason is that .jnlp file association is broken (it has to point to javaws.exe). Search for javaws.exe in the computer. Right mouse click and select "Open with" and point to "javaws.exe" to fix the .jnlp file association. Then: Admin Console Closes Automatically This is usually related to firewall software on your computer and especially with AVAST or AVG (including MAC). Two solutions: Use https (instead of http) to connect to your ISY Configure Your Firewall Software I hope some of this helps. If not, you can certainly open a ticket with UD. They are excellent and providing assistance.

Here are the instructions from the Wiki. Remove Devices Select Remove/Exclude a Z-Wave Device from the menu and wait for a popup window to appear. If the popup window does not appear, Select Stop Adding or Removing a Z-Wave Device from the advanced menu then try again. Put the Z-Wave device in link mode. Refer to the user guide for your product on how to do this. In many cases, this just requires you to press a button on the device. The ISY will remove the device (this may occur a few seconds after you put the device in link mode) The popup window will go away, but you will NOT see your device removed from the tree. Notes Deleting a node from the ISY does not delete it from the Z-Wave dongle. When nodes are removed with a different controller, the ISY nodes are disabled instead of deleted. This is done in case the user accidentally removes ISY from the Z-Wave network, which essentially tells ISY that all nodes are deleted. We may change this behaviour based on Alpha feedback. Adding Devices directly from ISY Make sure the ISY is the Primary Controller Select Add a Z-Wave Device from the menu and wait for a popup window to appear. If the popup window does not appear, Select 'Stop Adding or Removing a Z-Wave Device' from the advanced menu then try again. Put the Z-Wave device in link mode. Refer to the user guide for your product on how to do this. In many cases, this just requires you to press a button on the device. The ISY will begin adding the device (this may occur a few seconds after you put the device in link mode) The popup window will go away, and you will see your device added to the tree. Note All Secure devices such as door locks must be added to the ISY directly

When adding zwave devices, the first thing you should do is exclude the device and then include the device. Be sure to move the device within 3 feet of the ISY while doing this.
  5. Here is the link to the troubleshooting guide. Scroll down until you find your issue. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Java_applications_are_blocked_by_your_security_settings
  6. Javi, How about support for Elk alarm system? Will that be coming soon?
  7. UD is working on an app and it is being done by @Javi. It is in early beta testing and looks very promising. It displays my zwave thermostat with all of the nodes available. In addition, it loads quickly and looks like it will support most if not all of the nodeserver a. It needs a little time to develop, but as I said, it looks very promising.
  8. Do you have a question? This is well known and in the Wiki for email customizations, right at the top of the page. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-994i_Series:EMail_and_Networking_Substitution_Variables
  9. Here is a link to the instructions for renewing your portal subscription: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Portal_Renewal_Instructions
  10. Start ISY Launcher, click on "add" and enter: https://dyndnsname:portnumber Don't remember off hand if the button to click afterwards is save or add, but I believe even hitting enter works. If you entered the address correctly, ISY Launcher will find the ISY and add it to the Launcher listing.
  11. Have you tried power cycling your ISY? If you can get in to your ISY admin console, check the firmware and UI versions. They need to match. Are you using the ISY Launcher? If not try that. It's available from the firmware upgrade post.
  12. There is a document called ISY Cookbook which explains how to do different programing and it has examples. Just search for ISY994 Cookbook. It will be very helpful.
  13. Also, check the setting in your router and see if the existing IP is saved or reserved in your router.if that is the case you will need to delete that setting and try again.
  14. Are you checking the DHCP check box? If you do this, your router will assign the IP and then you can reserve that IP in your router so it doesn't change.
  15. Try the procedure below to gain access. Once you are able to connect, set up automatic DHCP. Sometimes static IP results in DNS issues. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Assign_a_Static_IP_Address
  16. The best way is to use an automatic DHCP assigned by your router.
  17. Look here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Troubleshooting_Help
  18. To add to this, you should be using the ISY Launcher which will automatically select the correct UI to match your firmware. You can download it from the firmware upgrade post, just follow the directions.
  19. I currently use Agave, but I am also beta testing the new UD app @Javiis working on. It is still early but it is quick and responsive and when finished will be a fine choice. You will need to make decisions on which portal you want to use since you can't have them both. However, you can still use Mobilink if you use the UD portal, you just can't use their portal. There is a post in the Mobilink forum on how to set it up.
  20. Try select tool, information, ISY portal access troubleshooting.
  21. As long as you can access ISY externally, don't worry about setting in ISY that says internet access.
  22. Have you checked the nodeserver in Polyglot? Make sure the nodeserver is still running and see if there are any errors in the nodeserver log. Are any scenes showing up in ISY? Seems strange you are not seeing it there. Maybe post a screenshot so another set of eyes can help you look.
  23. Does your firmware and UI match? Are you using the Launcher?
  24. Is your firmware at least v5.0.16? If so, here are the instructions: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Polisy:User_Guide Scroll down and try the factory reset.

You can find the instructions here: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Main_Page#Quick_Start_Guides If you are on Windows this should help: Installing the Admin Console Icon on Your Desktop It's always best to use the Admin Console application which is browser independent. To do this: Clear your java cache Use the ISY Launcher to launch the Admin Console. This should put an icon on your desktop once you run the downloaded start.jnlp file. If on Mac, read thru the first link.
