Only X10 Repeater/ Phase Coupler that I know of that respects Insteon. Is the JV Digital Engineering XTB-IIR. XPCR may work but it may still false trigger on the end of Insteon Messages. Thinking they where an X10 message.

The CM15A also has a higher output power line signal. Over a PLM. So some areas of you home may have been OK and now can't be reached. Do you have an X10 phase coupler between the two incoming power lines into the home? If the PLM is on the same power circuit as you computer equipment. You may want to try the extension cord power to the PLM to see if things change. As that type of equipment. Frequently can absorb some of the power line signals. 10uF at a higher voltage rating would be fine. Physically maybe a tighter squeeze over the 16 volts size. 10uF/ 350 volt would also be fine. As it is a higher voltage than the original. What is sending the C1 on command to be received by the program? Sending an X10 C1 Status ON will not turn the modules On. Are your WS467's new enough to have Soft Start? Where they ramp On and Off?

Might be interesting if you could find the ToggleLinc's Part Number. Maybe on a sticker on the front of the module. Not sure with out looking. If any had the BoosterLinc feature that was known to cause Insteon Issues. I found some old manuals. The 23890 ToggleLinc Dimmer and 23893 ToggleLinc On/Off modules have BoosterLinc technology. Manuals indicate BoosterLinc Technology can be turned On and Off. Quick test. Turn it off. By removing its power and see if anything changes. If you gently pull the set button on it out until it clicks. That is the Air Gap Power Switch and it disconnects the power. Only caution is after the test. Do NOT push the Set Button past its normal place and all the way in. That would do a factory reset and you would have to reprogram it again.

I find the J Status Request in some of your log posts interesting. An X10 J Status Request is all 1 bits in the data stream. 11111111. That was why I had asked about a active x10 repeater. That you verified you don't have. You don't have any Smarthome X10 compatible modules with BoosterLinc technologies or the rare two way X10 Modules?

Link Management Tab Add new Insteon Device Put the six digit Insteon ID the Address Line. Like 12.B3.FF {your devices ID} Give it a name in the Name Line. I believe if blank it used the devices ID. Device Type Leave at Auto Discover. Use the default Remove Existing Links Hit OK.

OH. I looked at your earlier post and missed the PLM was not on the UPS. The UPS can be one of the signal suckers Teken pointed out. Its AC input filter will absorb Insteon power line signals as noise. I have my UPS on the filtered output of a FilterLinc and the 2413S PLM in its pass through outlet on the front. It is possible with the extension cord. You where on a power feed with less noise or signal suckers. Sometimes outlets close to each other can be on a completely different breaker. Maybe you can verify they are on the same breaker or different ones. The four tap communications tests {called Beacon Test in some manuals}. You tap the set button four times and then observe the LEDs on other modules. To see if they are flashing Red or Green. Some of the newer modules only can do the communications tests through the Flow Chart method shown in the modules users manuals.

Get the PLM off of the UPS or isolated by maybe a Filterlinc. They have power line conditioning filters that absorb Insteon power line signals If it is on the AC Input side. The filter will absorb the power line signals. If it is on the battery backup side the Input filter will absorb the Insteon power line signals. In both cases the RF Insteon signals may not be reaching other Dual Band Module that can then pass the power line signals on.

Symptoms indicate a hardware failure. Relay On/Off LED changing state but the relay not working. Could be a defective relay or circuit driving it. Sensor LED On/Off but no detected change sent back.. Also sounds like a hardware failure.

Hardware is the same. The firmware on a 2443 main board and the 2413S main board are different.

Some of the early 2412S PLMs . Where made from reworked 2414S PLCs and had their Serial Daughter Board in them. I have a few with the RTC Clock chip and battery backup in them. Along with the mostly unused large 24LC256 EEPROMs, used for both link database and downloaded program storage.

Larry. The IM {Insteon Modem aka PLM} does not use Xon/Xoff or any other control characters. Command echoing. Is used between the ISY Interface and the PLM serial port. Developers guide explains how it it supposed to work. In the Tools Tab. Diagnostics choice. PLM Info/Status Tab. What version firmware is in the 2412S? I know one [maybe a few] firmware versions in the 2412S PLM. Do not process X10 properly. Should not be a problem with the ISY99i. Mine was fine with X10 before retiring it for my ISY994i.
