  1. 4.2.18 is the latest Release Candidate. 4.0.5 is the last Official Released firmware.
  2. The sales page doesn't mention adding an X10 address to the 2477D but the full users manual still shows how to do it. You may want to try adding an X10 address to the 2477D and see if the X10 signal can activate it.
  3. If your Leviton Coupler/Repeater is a HCA02 or 6201. It is possible it is seeing the end of an Insteon message and sending out a bogus X10 power line signal. Corrupting the Insteon command to the 2477D. They also do not send an Insteon power line signal back on the homes other phase. With the 2477D being the only Insteon device you have installed. It is very possible the power line and RF Insteon commands are not reaching it. Since the problem didn't seem to change with the Leviton Off and the electrical appliances possibly bridging the incoming Lines.
  4. Yes the EZIO8SA uses its own PLM or their EZIComm version of the PLM. You may get more information from EZIO8SA users. I believe there are some limitations on what the ISY994i can do with that module.
  5. Did you use the Link a Remotelinc choice in the Link Management drop down menu?
  6. The XPNR will absorb noise above and below the X10 120KHz. I am not sure how sharp it is tuned so it could reduce the Insteon 131.65KHz slightly. If you are unfortunate to have noise on 120KHz it may not do any good at all.
  7. They have the same address. Just different contract numbers and executives. Joe Dada is the chairman or founder of both branches. http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapId=6725700 http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapId=39270467
  8. UDI provides such great support. Smarthome has developed reputation for poor customer service wait times and actual good answers. UDI should never be merged with Smarthome-Smartlabs.
  9. I agree with Teken. It is far from dead but having to bend to Smartlabs whims. Can put a damper on things.
  10. The unfiltered outlet on the front is also nice to have. I put my PLM in the unfiltered outlet and my UPS with computing equipment on the filtered bottom outlet.
  11. Many of the better POE Injectors use around 48 volts DC. The camera or device has a voltage regulator in it to output the proper voltage the device needs. That way the voltage loss in the cable between the injector and device doesn't effect it operation. I have seen passive unregulated ones used by X10's cameras. All they did was use the power supply for the camera at the one end and a power splitter at the other end. It was not uncommon to see the 12 volts at the injector end. Much lower at the cameras end. Sometimes the camera would work but if you tried to pan or tilt. The added current would pull the voltage so low. The camera would reboot or just get lost.
  12. The last firmware for a ISY99i does not support the latest devices. So some feature maybe missing or will not add to the setup at all. Also NEVER use a the Manual Linking procedures between modules. Only use the Administrative Console to do everything. Any links done manually will not be known to your ISY Controller and will lead to issues or overwritten links in modules.
  13. The AC Line Input filter in most UPS units. Can absorb Insteon Power Line Signals as noise. It is possible that line filter could make a problem. If it is on the same power strip.
  14. The DSL Reports Forums, Frontier Section. There is a large thread on the CT. problems. Some users reported the DNS Servers where not working for most of 10/25/2014. So I did a reboot of the gateway and boom, there where the new DNS Server addresses. So I now know. If in doubt reboot.
  15. The static address and the DNS 8.8.8.8. worked and I now have time data again. A reboot of the gateway found that Frontier has its DNS Servers IP address now in the gateway. So automatic also now works. Thanks to all who helped me with the problem.
  16. I did that with a Smarthome short lived X10SC503. Was sold as an X10 controller but was a 2430 ControLinc with all the Insteon labels removed. Added a spare ApplianceLinc to my ISY994i. Then manually linked the 2430 to the ApplianceLinc. Read back its link table and got its ID.
  17. I will try a static address and setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8
  18. Thank you MikeD and paulbates for your information. The 7550 has AT&T custom firmware and manual setting the DNS address is locked out. My earlier 2-Wire ones did have that option. Paul I will try the web address you gave me. I believe since there is no DNS server found by the 7550 interface. It may also not work. On the TV news this morning. Thousands of now Frontier customers are completely out of service. With 3/4 to one hour wait time for support. I may leave the band aid in place and hope they will get it fixed sometime. I can do the manual time sync to computer time in the Administrative Console for now.
  19. Thank you for the feedback Teken. Since the 7550 is the DSL Interface, four port wired router and wireless router. I am not sure if I can do what you suggested.
  20. After looking at the setup again. I may have my answer but not a solution. I set my LAN to use the Google Free DNS Server in each of my computers. The ISY994i is on a different port than the computers. The 7550 is also the 4 port router. My thoughts are the ISY994i is accessing the web directly through the Gateway that has the now defunct DNS Server Address in it. Any thoughts on my theory or a solution would be appreciated.
  21. You did wake it up first by holding the set button until the LED starts flashing? Battery devices go into a battery saving mode and can't be accessed until you wake them up.
  22. Yesterday at 12:01 AM. All of AT&T's wire line division became Frontier Communications here in CT. Early yesterday. All my access to any web site was lost with an address not found. My AT&T 7550 Gateway has great tests built in. Seems the DNS Server programmed into it is not accessible any more. Maybe still and AT&T DNS Server. So Frontier had me add the Google Free DNS Server to LAN setup in the computer and not use the one in the Gateway. I am using "pool.ntp.org" and the Google Free DNS Server seems to not find it as I am getting a failure message. All my other links work {so far anyway} just the time server has issues. Is there maybe a different link I can use the the Google Free DNS Server may accept? Thanks for any information you can provide.
  23. Check the descriptions of the zigbee devices it supports. Only some devices are supported.
  24. Since the PR511 is an X10 device. You could not link it to your ISY994i. It could send X10 power line commands to it and receive X10 power line messages. Do you have the optional A10/X10 Firmware Module?
  25. Michel; SD and Micro SD cards are manufactured in various Class ratings. Any particular Class is best for ISY use? I have read the higher class modules {video recording etc.} have a faster write speed but usually the read speed suffers.
