Hi Techman, It's definitely not a configuration problem. To Timeout: this happens if the recipient you want to send the email to is not recognized (or blacklisted) by your server. You might want to try a different to. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Techman, Did you change the From field every time? Please note that some mail servers are very strict as far as what you can put in the From field. Can you tell me what you are putting for the From field in each case? With kind regards, MIchel

Hi Techman, ISY is complaining about From ... it seems that your mail server either does not like the account or the From field. With kind regards, Michel

ISY no longer accessible via network / lights on solid
Michel Kohanim replied to CPRail1's topic in ISY994
Hi Peter, The only reason why a defective PLM might cause issues with network is if you have programs that do a lot of things with INSTEON devices and thus put a lock on the communications task. With kind regards, Michel -
ISY no longer accessible via network / lights on solid
Michel Kohanim replied to CPRail1's topic in ISY994
Hi Peter, If all LEDs are on, then there's a flash error. If only RX is on and them error is blinking, then the problem is that the SD Card is either loose or defective. If Error/Mem blink simultaneously, then the problem is network related (probably an IP conflict). If you are still having problems please do not hesitate to submit a ticket (links below) and we'd be delighted to help. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Vinnie, There's really no harm with unplugging the network jack from ISY. The mem/error just indicate that ISY is not connected to the network and that's a perfectly OK configuration as well. With kind regards, Michel

"automatic writes to devices" button missing on Admin Consol
Michel Kohanim replied to kaplansa's topic in ISY994
Hi kaplansa, MAC does have GateKeeper that does act as an Anti Virus/Firewall. May I humbly recommend using https (instead of http) to access ISY and let me know whether or not there are any improvements? Most firewall software are more lenient with httpS traffic. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Techman, Those error messages are completely benign and have nothing to do with email/notifications. The only entries that have anything to do with email/notifications are those starting with -5000x: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... MTP_Errors If you do not see any errors then either the program is NOT running (perhaps the body and/or subject are evaluating to NULL) or the emails are ending up in your junkmail. With kind regards, Michel

Hi DualBandAid, Unfortunately that's the only way currently. The reason is that anything that evaluates to "False" causes the Else to run and that may include conditions that you do not wish to have included. With kind regards, Michel

Hi osurh18, It's quite possible that ISY was in Safe Mode. The next time this happens go to Tools | PLM Info/Status. With kind regards, Michel

ISY 99i not showing all switches for 2334-232 keypadlinc

Hi multiplex, Please send an email to sales@universal-devices.com and we'll do our best to accommodate. With kind regards, Michel -
Hello ESB, If you have identical thermostats that work fine but this one does not work, then I would consider that this specific thermostat is defective. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Barry, I think it would be best to make it a state variable simply because the program will NOT be evaluated when you change an integer variable. With kind regards, Michel

Help needed: SSL Certificate with ISY-99 & Android
Michel Kohanim replied to ISYhbsh01's topic in ISY994
Hi johnnyt, I empathize with you and your dilemma. As far as instructions: 1. They are already in http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_ISY-994i page 9 2. We cannot have instructions for each CA 3. There are some CAs that have signatures that were not supported by 4.0.5, those are fixed but we are in Alpha and I cannot give them out unless it's asked explicitly 4. I would assume for something as novel/sophisticated as certificates and their application, our tech support would have been a better choice With kind regards, Michel -
Help needed: SSL Certificate with ISY-99 & Android
Michel Kohanim replied to ISYhbsh01's topic in ISY994
Hi johnnyt, Do you still have the existing certs that you created? If so - and since you are on 4.0.11, you can use an updated dashboard that supports SHA2 certificate thumbprint/signatures. Please send an email to support@universal-devices.com and we'll help you with the process. With kind regards, Michel -

Hi johnnyt, Are you on 4.0.11 alpha? With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Barry, Unfortunately not: every time you subscribe, the status of all controls/properties are published. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Barry, Err is a control that identifies Error condition on a node. Since Error is not a status, it's used in Responding/Not Responding conditions in programs. Err = 0 means that this device is responding. Err = 1 means that this device has had communication issues. With kind regards, Michel

difference between restore device and starting fresh?
Michel Kohanim replied to brklaas1's topic in ISY994
Hi brklaas1, Thank you. The main question is whether or not you rebooted ISY with the new PLM before doing any restore device/modem. Please note that newer I2CS devices require a link from the PLM before they start communicating with the PLM. As such, it's very important that the order of events has rebooting ISY with the new PLM as its first step. With kind regards, Michel -
Hello bclarke01, Yes. #121 ... priority low. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Rich, This should work for your requirements. With kind regards, Michel

difference between restore device and starting fresh?
Michel Kohanim replied to brklaas1's topic in ISY994
Hello brklaas1, kclenden is 100% correct. I would not start fresh at all since I really do not think the problems you are reporting have anything to do with ISY but with the INSTEON/Configuration changing. Actually, I really cannot think of any good reasons why you would start from scratch unless you moved or you wanted to start from scratch. With kind regards, Michel -
Hello rossarmstrong, This is quite baffling. Personally, I suspect one of them is really not what it's reporting to be. Please have both of them added, rename the old one to OLD-LAMPLINC and the new one to NEW-LAMPLINC. Once you have done that, go to http://your.isy.ip.address/rest/nodes ... save as .xml and send to support@universal-devices.com. With kind regards, Michel
-
Yes, that's correct. With kind regards, Michel

Hi rossarmstrong, Please do not choose manually. Again, the following are compatible: DEV_SCAT_LAMPLINC_V2_2456D3, DEV_SCAT_INLINE_DIMMABLE, DEV_SCAT_LAMPLINC_2_PIN, DEV_SCAT_ICON_LAMPLINC_V2_2_PIN_2856D2, DEV_SCAT_SOCKETLINC_2454D, DEV_SCAT_COMPANION_SWITCH_2474S, DEV_SCAT_INLINE_LINC_DIMMER_2475D, DEV_SCAT_BIPHY_LAMPLINC_B2457D2, DEV_SCAT_LAMPLINC_2_PIN_DIMMER_2457D2X, DEV_SCAT_LAMPLINC_2_PIN_DIMMER_2457D2X_SP, DEV_SCAT_INLINELINC_DIMMER_2475D_SP, DEV_SCAT_OUTLETLINC_DIMMER_2472D_DUAL_BAND, DEV_SCAT_INLINELINC_DIMMER_2475DA1, DEV_SCAT_LED_BULB_8WATT_2672_222, With kind regards, Michel
