Hi Joe, the subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0 (or whatever your router assigns to your computer as well). Do you still see -50000? With kind regards, Michel Darrell: I checked the DNS server of the router (I have a Linksys WRT54GSV4) and there are two DNS servers listed, l tried both of them and it didn't work. I DID notice one thing though: The Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.252 and the Subnet Mask in the ISY IP Config is 255.255.255.0. Would that make a difference? And if so, which one should I change? Joe

Hello Keribi, Can you tell me if you see anything in the logs? Specifically, do you see -5000x? With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.8 is now available

Hi Joe, What do you mean by no program information? Are your programs lost? With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Joe, The main question is if your ISY (not your router) has a static IP address. To check, please: 1. Telnet to your ISY (telnet your.isy.ip.address) 2. Issue CT on the command line: if you get 0.0.0.0 then you are on DHCP if not you have a static IP address 3. If you have a static IP address, keep pressing the Enter button on your keyboard till you get to the DNS With kind regards, Michel I have a static IP thru my ISP and the Router has assigned 192.168.1.110 but it does not show in the status table. Where am I assigning the DNS? (Which would be 192.168.1.110) Sorry for the incompetence factor... Joe

Hello Joe, My pleasure and apologies for a tardy reply (on the road again). The problem is DNS: ISY is trying to resolve universal-devices.com (it should be smtp.gmail.com) but it fails. Have you assigned a static IP address for ISY? If so, what did you use as your DNS server? If not, then in all likelihood ISY is not getting the DNS server from your router. You can always test by: 1. Assign a static IP address for ISY 2. For DNS, please use the same IP address as you find in the status page of your router. With kind regards, Michel

Hello someguy, 2.7 is mostly geared toward i2 and module support with emphasis on i2. Modules are extra features, at additional cost, such as integration with Weatherbug, Brultech meters, Network utilities, and plugin interfaces (UI). With kind regards, Michel

jamesx0, Records starting with 22 are logically deleted. You should NOT delete them since ISY will be out of synch with your devices. As a matter of fact, ISY is now out of synch with your devices. If you want to get rid of the logically deleted links, simply do a Restore Device and ISY will automatically defrag/compact your devices db. Also, you could have A2 and E2 for the same group number; these are not duplicates. ISY maintains a replica of device db for each device and uses it for configuration. So, any changes outside of ISY, will not be in Synch with ISY. With kind regards, Michel

Hello mohansen, Please have him factory reset the switch and retry (if you have not yet). What is this device? With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Joe, In the from field, please put your "sender's email address". It's always best to use your own gmail account for the from. Please check the log and see if you see any -5000x in there. Also, try the Test button. Do you get anything? With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello again someguy, In the Program, please use Control instead of Status for the condition. And, in the control, use Fast On/Off (means double tap). With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello someguy, Apologies for the inconvenience. You can always use Regular email and put your phone-number@att.sms.address. The notifications are handled in programs only: you have to tell when you want to be notified. With kind regards, Michel

Hello Dave, Using our Web Services SDK makes it very easy to integrate with any other system. We have not yet had any developers requesting integration with Crestron most probably because of the exorbitant costs. With kind regards, Michel

Hello jamesx0, Yes, you can use the ELK Export function (in configuration) to view the group numbers. As far as duplicate groups, please note that you will have duplicate groups if there are different button numbers. Yes and no: we had plans then we abandoned them simply because manually changing links causes ISY to be out of synch with the configuration. We might revisit if there's an overwhelming reason to do as such. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.6.8 is now available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hello Mohansen, Please do be kind enough to upgrade to 2.6.5 first and then to 2.6.8. The reason you are getting request failed is probably due to the fact that you are adding a switch that does not respond to ID Req. Please try choosing the device type from the drop down and retry. With kind regards, Michel -

Admin Console no longer prompts for username and password
Michel Kohanim replied to RickyK53's topic in ISY994
Hello RickyK53, All you have to do is to make sure all statements within the loop are below the Repeat statement. You can use Move Line Up/Down to achieve this. This said, however, you cannot have anything follow after the Repeat block: they are all included in the block. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Drew, If you had a power failure, then in all likehood your PLM and/or some of your devices may have gone bad: 1. Can you query all your devices? 2. Can you turn on/off all your devices from within ISY? If you are not getting status changes back from your devices, you might want to try File->Restore Modem (PLM). Make sure you do NOT use File->Remove Modem. With kind regards, Michel

How To: Rotate through scenes via a single KPL button.
Michel Kohanim replied to Melor's topic in ISY994
Paul, This is amazing. Thanks so very much for your contribution. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Josh, Thanks so very much for the update. Noting: I have to conclude that either this device (0D.15.18) is sending an Off command by itself or someone is actually turning it off. The reason is that had this been originated from ISY, first you would've received an ACK (02 62 ...). Now, to rule out the switch itself, would you be kind enough to remove this switch (just pull out the set button and leave it out) and redo the experiment? With kind regards, Michel

HOW TO: Garage door control using the ISY and an EZIO2x4
Michel Kohanim replied to MikeB's topic in ISY994
Hello AnthemAVM, Yes, this is a known issue that we are trying to resolve: The newer PLMs and thus the newer EZIO devices have their database start at a different address. I am hoping that we'll find a workaround within 2 weeks to a month. With kind regards, Michel -
hello groovejumper, If you don't find the cable or if this is too much trouble, please do send an email to support@universal-devices.com and we'll ship you a replacement unit immediately. With kind regards, Michel

What's in the next release (2.8.16)
Michel Kohanim replied to Chris Jahn's topic in Previous Releases
Hello royceconnerly, We should have it released by Monday. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi groovejumper, Apologies for a tardy reply. It seems that the spike has corrupted the file system. I do hope that you have a backup of your last good configuration. What I suggest: 1. Connect to your ISY using the provided serial cable and Hyperterminal (http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... tart_Guide) 2. Login and issue FS 3. If this does not take care of the blinking light, please let us know (support@universal-devices.com) and we'll send you a replacement unit immediately If (3) works, then please do the following: 1. Go to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i 2. Use Help->Manually Upgrade My Lighting and reinstall 2.6.7 3. Restore your last backup Again, apologies for the inconvenience. With kind regards, Michel
