  1. @msteelefl Let me know what the PLM link count is after you do a restore PLM If you end up replacing the PLM you'll need to follow the attached procedure Replace PLM (ISY994).pdf
  2. Your PLM is over 10 years old and most likely needs to be replaced. It lost all of its link tables. You can try doing a restore PLM which will write the link tables stored in you ISY into the PLM. If Link count is 0: Go to file | Restore Modem (PLM) ... this will attempt to recreate all the links in the PLM Once Restore Modem (PLM) is completed, count the number of links in the PLM again using the procedure outlined above If the link count is still 0, then in all likelihood the PLM is dead and has to be replaced
  3. Try doing a factory reset on the switch, then an exclusion, inclusion on the ISY HOW TO FACTORY RESET THE ZEN71 Press and hold the lower paddle for 10 seconds or more until the LED indicator starts blinking. Release the paddle and immediately after, tap the lower paddle 5 times to complete the reset. The LED indicator will flash blue 3 times and turn red for 3 seconds to confirm a successful reset.
  4. Is the green led on your PLM lit What is the 4 digit date code on your PLM If you click on TOOLS | DIAGNOSTICS | PLM INFO STATUS, does it show as connected? If you click on TOOLS | DIAGNOSTICS | SHOW PLM LINKS TABLE, what is the link count. You should run this test when the ISY is least busy The issue most likely could be with either a failing PLM or the SD card. Don't do a reset until you narrow down the problem
  5. You can shut down/disable the eisy by pressing the button on the front until the led turns red, no need to unplug anything Pulling out the set button on a device disconnects the a/c power to the device.
  6. Node servers, aka plugins, need to be installed by the end user, so most likely you don't have any. Most likely you either have a program that's triggering the lights or it's your echo devices Try disabling all your eisy programs to see if that corrects the problem. It's really down to process of elimination.
  7. It basically eliminates the PLM and electricial interference as the cause of your issue. The next option to try is stopping all your node servers, and disable Alexa. The commands are coming from the eisy, it's just a matter of finding out what is sending those commands to the eisy
  8. Try rebooting your eisy, you can also try clearing your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  9. Can you acces the portal using this address: https://my.isy.io/index.htm If you're on a MAC it could be blocking the port
  10. @cchandler12011 What's your ISY firmware and UI versions? Try clearing your java cache, checking all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  11. After updating did you clear your java cache, checking all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  12. Techman replied to matapan's topic in Insteon
@matapan I just created a test program using the Zooz ZEN04. It triggered a program when the current draw exceeded .1 amp. So it should be an easy replacement for the Synchronic. Maximum Loads: a single device with no more than 960W incandescent, 150W LED bulbs, 15A resistive, or 1/3 HP fan motors If your current draw is highrer than the above specs then you should use the ZEN15 Maximum Load: a single device under 15 A (1800 W)
  13. Techman replied to matapan's topic in Insteon
You would use a program to trigger whatever you're trying to turn on or off, i.e. IF Status Switch energy current > .1 amp Then Do whatever Else
  14. Techman replied to matapan's topic in Insteon
@matapan Another option is the ZOOZ ZEN15 which has more flexible reporting options
  15. Techman replied to matapan's topic in Insteon
The smart plug displays current power, etc. You can use one of those parameters to trigger a program. The only downside is it can only report every minute so there could be a delay Watt Report Threshold Parameter 5: Choose how you want your Smart Plug to report power consumption to your hub. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of Watts the appliance needs to go over for the change to be reported. So if 5 Watts are entered by default, the Smart Plug will report any change in power usage over 5 Watts (whether it’s at least 5 Watts more or 5 Watts less compared to the previous report). Values for 700 series: 5 – 50. Default: 5. Values for 800 series: 0 - disabled; 1-100. Default: 5. Size: 1 byte dec Watt Report Frequency Parameter 6: The number entered as value corresponds to the number of minutes. So if 5 is entered by default, the Smart Plug will report power consumption (Wattage) every 5 minutes. Values: 1 – 65535. Default: 5 (minutes). Size: 4 bytes dec

Yes, it's backwards compatible with Zwave 700 and the ISY994 500
  17. Techman replied to matapan's topic in Insteon
The older and discontinued modules have older firmware and hardware. Some modules have power supplies that can be repaired but in the long run you're better off using the newer insteon modules or zwave. Zwave has numeous options that replace the Synchrolinc and most have firmware that can be updated by the end user. Here's a zwave replacement for the Synchrolinc: Zooz ZEN04 Smart Plug – ZOOZ
  18. @jlloyd_UD It's down to a process of elimination: If you log into PG3 there's an option in each node server to "stop" it You should stop each server to see if the issue still exists, if it doesn't then start one node server at a time to narrow things down. Do you have any insteon battey operated devices, if so what are they?
  19. @jlloyd_UD When you did the factory reset on your devices did you folllow the procedure below: Factory Reset Factory Reset clears all user settings from the device including INSTEON scenes, on-levels, ramp rates, X10 addresses, etc. 1) With a small screwdriver or your fingernail, pull out Set button to create an air gap 2) Wait 10 seconds 3) Push in Set button and hold. Do not let go Keypad will begin to emit a long beep 4) When the beep stops, release the Set button. Device’s embedded software will rewrite all settings to factory defaults A couple of seconds will pass Device will double-beep and its LEDs will return to normal brightness The connected load will turn on and the device will return to ready mode
  20. Did the lights still come on with the eisy unplugged? Did you factory reset one of the devices that was randomly coming on, if so does it still randomly come on? Are the devices that randomly come on dual band or single band devices Have you added any new electronic devices in your house in the last month?
  21. Your config file looks normal and is up to date. Is the green led on your PLM on? The restore PLM That you did which stopped at 2% is not normal. You could try unplugging the eisy and leave the PM plugged in to narrow the problem down to either the eisy data file or the PLM
  22. @jlloyd_UD It's possible that your device(s) link tables became cross linked. A factory reset /restore device would correct that. In your log do you see any activity just before the light comes on? Run the link below which will display your eisy configuration and post it https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt You can also try removing power from the PLM and the eisy for about 30 seconds, then power up the PLM, wait about 10 seconds then power up the eisy.
  23. @jlloyd_UD If you're seeing the on command for the light(s) in your log then it's most likely not connected to an all on event. I would focus on a program that's probably turning on the light(s) Take a look at your program summary tab to see if a program ran at the same time your light(s) turned on. It's also possible that the link tables for the light(s) got corrupted. Try doing a factory reset on the light(s) then a restore device
  24. One last thing you can try. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp (this will install the IoX Launcher icon on your desktop) then try running update packages again. If you don't get positive results then it's best to open a support ticket.
  25. Are you upgrading from the IoX Launcher? Try removing power from the polisy for about 30 seconds then try "upgrade packages" again Your config.sys file is missing a lot of information, not sure why.
