ISY994i Pro : Disappeared from Windows Network Panel
Hi elite-rob, The reason is that in 4.2.4 and above, we disabled UPnP by default (security concerns). If you wish, you can go to Configuration | System and enable UPnP under Network Settings. With kind regards, Michel

Energy Monitoring - Fine tuning a program
Hi Teken, Got it. This said, I don't think the 5.0 will solve the issue since there needs to be a definite event that starts the cycle. Have you tried a SynchroLinc? With kind regards, Michel

UD developed PLM
Thank you all. Board Layout is almost done! Teken, yes, this PLM supports all INSTEON frequencies (of course there's a hardware configuration/chip that has to be replaced). With kind regards, Michel

Boot Sequence of PLM / ISY after Power Outage
NeilP, I must humbly submit to you that your PLM is dying. The reason is that ISY retries 3 times in a span of 20 seconds to try and connect to the PLM at boot up. So, if indeed it took the PLM more than 20 seconds to boot, then I am almost certain the PLM is on its way to heaven. This is especially the case when you had a power outage. With kind regards, Michel

UD developed PLM
Hi raymondh, Our goals have been: 1. To design the power circuitry so that it won't die after 2 years 2. Heat dissipation so that the unit does not overheat 3. Power ISY 4. NOT a wall wart The rest is pretty much identical to SmartHome's reference design and the firmware is theirs. With kind regards, Michel

UD developed PLM
Hello everyone, The rumors are true! The good news is that we have taken all failure points into consideration during design. The bad news is that we still need to use INSTEON provided chips which include their firmware and thus not field upgradeable. With kind regards, Michel

Programs stopped working
Hi davbow, For these programs to work, ISY must "hear" INSTEON signals coming from devices unsolicited. So, the first test is to go to the Admin Console and see whether or not the status of those devices change if you turn them on/off physically. If not, then go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Link Table, click on the Start button, wait for completion and then click on the Count button. I suspect that the count is either really low or probably zero. If zero, then try File | Restore Modem (PLM). In short, there needs to be links it the PLM for each device. I suspect the PLM has lost its links. With kind regards, Michel

Easiest way to track power usage
Hi raymondh, If your utility provides Smart Meters, then the best would be to use the Zigbee SEP module and enroll in the HAN program in your utility. Otherwise, the only other way would be to use Brultech energy monitors. If you need whole house only, then the Ethernet version would work fine but you will need to install CTs (Current Transformers) in the breaker. With kind regards, Michel
