@MWareman, We are migrating all certs out of Polyglot and into udx. In 5.4.4 there was an issue with one of these certs which didn't let backup to proceed. In 5.4.5, this should be fixed. This said, the latest udx upgrade takes a long time because we are installing some python packages for Z-Wave migration. So, perhaps when you tried the backup, udx was not yet started. With kind regards, Michel

Hello everyone, Here are the installation instructions: https://www.universal-devices.com/docs/ZMatter-Assembly- Instructions.pdf. As mentioned in the email, the updated firmware to support migration will be available on 12/1 + instructions. Installing the module should not impact your existing operations but you still need Zooz till 12/1. With kind regards, Michel

@proj964, You need to do this on 994: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Users:V5:ZWave:User_Guide#Shift_Primary_Control_from_ISY_to_a_different_Controller And this on Polisy: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY_Users:V5:ZWave:User_Guide#Shift_Primary_Control_to_ISY_from_a_different_Controller With kind regards, Michel

@asbril, thank you but there was literally no way around it. The shipment came from Russia, and when we started, there were no tariffs. With kind regards, Michel

@jmpnjimbob, yes by early 1Q. And, we may be able to have both Zigbee and Matter by then. With kind regards, Michel

@palayman, Discounts are for developers and integrators. Also, we just paid 35% tariff on the shipment. It was quite painful ... currently, we barely break even. With kind regards, Michel

@beninsteon, We are not reluctant at all. With eisy, you have 8GB of RAM and 60GB of storage (and you can add up to 1T of NVMe SSD). Just to give you some metrics: I use my eisy for development: running Eclipse, CDT (compile c/c++), Chrome + Bluetooth streaming video/music and of course isy, udx, pg3, polyglot, etc. and I still have 2G of free RAM and never get above 50% on CPU (only when I compile). So, go wild! The main issue is that we just don't have the time/resources to make it into something we fully support. Of course, if there's a developer who would like to take on this task, sell it as a node server, and support it, s/he will have my full support. With kind regards, Michel

@RMichael, 1. Increase the timeout 2. Have you checked the error log? https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Errors_And_Error_Messages#SMTP_Errors With kind regards, Michel

@asbril, everyone will be sent complete and comprehensive instructions for migration. @oskrypuch, you don't have to use UD Mobile for programming. As @Javimentioned, getting permissions from your computer + user to search the network + a web page that's not backed by a CA signed cert is extremely difficult with regular web-based interface. That's why we have still kept Java and Admin Console because it's an app and not a webpage. With kind regards, Michel

Of course. ZMatter was specifically designed for Polisy and it's internal. We have already made a deal with AARTech and it will be available in Canada within the next couple of weeks. @ErikN, Desktop version shall be there. With kind regards, Michel

Support thread for: ISY on Polisy (IoP) v5.4.4 (May 25, 2022)
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in IoX Support
@larryllix, in what scenarios will you be looking for a floating point remainder? With kind regards, Michel -
The USB version will be the same price as the non-USB version. But, if you want the enclosure separately, it will be $18.00. @asbril, Yes, you can cancel the order and wait for the availability of the USB version. With kind regards, Michel

Excellent questions: demonstration purposes only because the 3 ports on the side are a little closer together. This said, you can easily plug it into the USB port on the back which covers half of the headphone jack. Yes, it's regular USB so you can use USB extension cables. By early 1Q 2023, you should be able to control many Zigbee devices + possibly dual mode Zigbee/Matter. Enclosure is separate (about $18). But we'll have the same cost for ZMatter mPCIe and ZMatter USB. It does not make sense to penalize those who want USB. With kind regards, Michel

@TRI0N, Given that fact that you expect a free version of a library that we do not maintain, running on a hardware that we do not maintain, be supported in perpetuity. And given that you expect node server developers to support node servers for that platform. And given that you expect all of us to bow our head to your majestical presence and beg to convince you it's worth migrating to Polisy/eisy even though, you already concluded that our support sucks. Well, your majesty, may I humbly suggest that you take a look at Home Assistant? It offers you everything you need, in one package, and everything is free, and it even runs on RPi and supported. So, no, it's really not worth it. With kind regards, Michel

Thank you! I forgot to mention that the coating will be sandblasted anodized dark gray. We'll also have laser engraving! With kind regards, Michel

I don't think @wmcneil 's expectations are misplaced. Both eisy and ZMatter are relatively large investments in time and money. So, having more information about how all this fits together is really important. Regardless, I should have provided more information. Attached is a look at the final prototype for the USB enclosure for ZMatter. As you can see, ZMatter plugs right in in the same was as it does into Polisy. So, you can take your time deciding whether or not you want to migrate to eisy. You are covered either way and you won't lose your investment in ZMatter if you migrate to eisy. How to import devices into ELRP using a node server
Michel Kohanim replied to Blackbird's topic in ELK
@Jimbo.Automates, Apologies but I am not sure what exactly we need to offer. From ISY perspective, the customers choose from a list and then that's store in ISY. Is the question a GUI question? With kind regards, Michel -
$1B. 😉 $290.00 with some upgrade discounts: $36 for ISY994 (has to be returned) $90 for Polisy (has to be returned) With regard to lack of information, news, unorganized thoughts, website, etc. I take the blame and I agree with the sentiments. I wish I could say that we'd be better in the future, but if history is any indication, we seem to always choose to ignore everything else and just play with our gadgets and toys. We do desperately need an overhaul of our website, branding, and marketing. So, if there's anyone out there who's an expert in these realms and would like to volunteer to help us, please contact me. With regard to our strategy: 1. Expanding the node server ecosystem is our #1 goal. 2. Making UD Mobile the main method of communicating and configuring everything. Simplified commissioning, node server configuration, and program templates 3. Power. The platform should stay powerful and not restricting. What do we do with the HDMI outputs? We do have a couple of ideas. The whole point is that we are not restricted and limited by lack of functionality With kind regards, Michel
