  1. The error you're getting is usually caused by one of two things, poor communications between the device and the PLM or you entered an incorrect 6 digit address. It's easy to misread 8 and B, D and 0, etc.
  2. When you use the "replace with" function, for an Insteon device it must be like for like, i.e. 6 button with a 6 button. You'll need to install the 8 button as a new device and delete the 6 button from the ISY. Any programs, and scenes that were used by the 6 button KPL will have to be reprogrammed to include the new 8 button KPL.
  3. Support for the ISY was discontinued as it reached end of life. The last, and most current firmware is 5.3.4. Being that the ISY is discontinued it will not support some of the newer features that were released after it was discontinued. 5.3.4 (ISY994) - Last release for ISY994 - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com) If you want to stay current then you'll have to upgrade to the latest hardware, which is the EISY.
  4. Who manufacturers the awning? Does the manufacturer offer a wireless remote to control the awning. If so, you might be able to control it directly via wifi, zwave, etc.
  5. Line powered Zwave devices also act as Zwave repeaters, battery powered devices don't. Zwave is a mesh network, similar to Insteon. Depending on the distance your sensor is located from the eisy you'll mostly need a Zwave repeater. Take a look at the Aeotec range extender 7. Range Extender 7 – Aeotec It sounds like you not putting the sensor into the linking mode. Check your manual for instructions. Most battery-operated devices, when put into the linking/inclusion mode, will stay awake for about 4 minutes.
  6. It all depends on what the rocker switch is controlling., i.e. high voltage (110v), low voltage (12v), or a data signal. Is the rocker switch a SPDT or DPDT Does the awning motor have an auto shutoff limit switch (if the rocker switch is held down will the motor shut off when it reaches its limit) The IOLinc has limitations, so you'll need to read its specs.
  7. What's your eisy firmware and UI versions? Are you using the Zwave Zmatter dongle? If you bring the sensor close to the eisy and link it do all the nodes show up? It's possible that you may have marginal communications between the sensor and the eisy. How many other a/c powered Zwave devices do you have installed?

  10. Did the update packages, then rebooted. Now every time I open the admin console I get a need to reboot window. Removing power from the eisy stopped the reboot notices, but I'm still showing 3.2.3

  14. I haven't tried replacing the Zmatter board. But the step I mentioned should be all that's needed. I would keep Zwave enabled. Exactly what problems are you having with your Zmatter.
  15. In the Zwave menu there's a BACKUP and RESTORE option. Be sure to always have a current zwave backup.

    I'm not familiar with Bali, I have Somfy which uses zwave to rts. Hopefully someone on the forum has a Bali setup.

    If you disable S2 security in the eisy you should be able to link the MS7 without a pin.
  19. @KConover Most likely the led bulb wasn't compatible with the Insteon dimmer module, or that the dimmer circuit inside a bulb went bad, you might try a different led bulb. If the bulb(s) use an external power supply then the power supply could be the problem. There must have been something left over from your houselinc days that got into the eisy configuration file, thus the name on the PLM. Don't forget to backup your eisy.
  20. What's your current firmware and UI? There's another firmware update coming out shortly. Have you tried clearing your java cache and reinstalling the IoX Launcher as it sounds like the issue may be with the Launcher or java.

    Under the configuration tab in the eisy, is the Zwave box checked and then saved? What did you migrate from, and what was its firmware version. What zwave device did you have on it? What's the current firmware and UI version on the eisy?
  22. If the Zwave support box is checked in the configuration tab, then It's probably best to submit a support ticket. There's a remote possibility thar the current Polisy firmware doesn't support the Zooz 700., or that a Polisy configuration file got corrupted.
  23. @awind Based on your first post, I was under the impression you had an eisy with the Zmatter board, but you also mention Polisy and the Zooz dongle. Can you clarify what hardware you have. Did you check, and save, the Zwave Support box in the configuration tab? If, so and you're still having issues, then the problem is most likely with the Zooz 700 Zwave dongle (ZST10).
